기부참여행동에 대한 현장실험 연구(Natural Field Experiment) : 구세군 자선냄비 모금을 활용한 분석 (A Natural Field Experiment on Citizens' Giving Behavior: Analysis on Red Kettle Campaign of Salvation Army)

  • 본 연구는 실제 기부 현장에서 타인의 기부행동 정보와 개인의 기부행동 간에 어떠한 관련성이 있는지를 탐색해보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국구세군의 협조를 얻어 2년에 걸친 구세군 자선냄비 현장모금 실험을 실시하였으며, 타인의 기부행동에 대한 정보는 돈을 가득 채운 통, 돈을 채우지 않은 통, 안이 보이지 않는 통의 세 가지 수준으로 제공하였다. 분산분석 결과, 1차년도와 2차년도 실험 모두 통별 기부인원 및 1인당 기부금액에 있어 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 외생변수의 영향력을 고려한 회귀분석 결과에서도 통에 따른 기부인원 및 기부금액의 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 이같은 결과는 타인의 기부행동 정보가 개인의 기부행동에 영향을 주지 않음을 시사하는 것이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 새로운 연구방법을 적용하여 시민들의 실제적 기부행동에 대한 이해를 확장시키고 향후 후속 연구를 위한 발판을 제공한다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다.

RAW264.7 대식세포와 급성염증유발 동물모델에서 문관나무 종자유의 염증억제 효과 (Anti-Inflammatory Effects of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Seeds Oil on RAW264.7 Macrophages and TPA-Induced Ear Edema Mice)

  • This study investigated the anti-inflammatory effects of Xanthoceras sorbifolia of seeds oil on RAW264.7 macrophages and TPA (12-O-tetra decanoylphorbol-acetate)-induced ear edema mice. MTT assay method to measure cytotoxicity was formed in RAW264.7 cell. The anti-inflammatory effect was measured by ability to inhibit production nitric oxide (NO) in RAW264.7 cell. Hexane and eight-percent methanol fractions from Xanthoceras sorbifolia seeds oil did not show cytotoxicity. Hexane and eight-percent methanol fractions were showed significantly inhibitory effect on NO production. TPA-induced acute edema was developed in the mouse ears, and Xanthoceras sorbifolia seeds oil dissolved in acetone was applied to inflamed ears. It was found out that Xanthoceras sorbifolia seeds oil could significantly reduce th ear swelling, compared to the control. Overall results indicate that the Xanthoceras sorbifolia seeds oil has anti-inflammatory activity and could be used as a resource of anti-inflammatory materials.

  • For this study, a new hydraulic control unit which designed in compact compared to the currently manufactured hydraulic control unit for ABS has been introduced and its experimental model has been made. Based on the basic principle as ABS using braking force characteristics against slip ratio of tire, half car model bench tester were designed and made to make an analysis of braking effect of the new hydraulic control unit. Experiment for slip ratio characteristics of tire has been carried out using half car model bench tester and with the results of this experiment and control experiment of the new hyraulic control unit, the experiment result of the characteristics of tire and control experiment were compared to find out their correspondence. And furthermore, slip ratio characteristics of the new hydraulic control unit has been studied based on the experiment result of slip ratio characteristics of tire through simulation and compared with experiment result.

  • This paper presents the results of slamming experiment using air pressure cylinder to increase the repeatability of the experiment. When it comes to the slamming experiment, the traditional way of doing it has been the free fall experiment. By adopting air pressure cylinder almost equal peak pressures were obtained with that of free fall experiment. Therefore, the air pressure cylinder can be an alternative tool in slamming experiment.

아두이노를 활용한 중력 가속도 측정과 관련된 튜토리얼 및 교육적 활용 방안 (Development of Tutorial for Measuring Gravity Acceleration Using Arduino and Its Educational Application)

  • MBL을 통한 물리 실험은 학생들이 실험 결과를 바로 확인하고 쉽게 실험을 수행할 수 있어 예전부터 많은 학교에서 활용해 왔다. 하지만, 장치의 원리를 모르고 실험을 수행하거나, 단순히 도출된 데이터에만 집중하는 것이 MBL 실험의 문제점으로 꾸준히 제기되어 왔다. 이러한 문제점을 보완하기 위해, 아두이노를 활용하여 MBL 실험에서 많이 사용되는 피켓펜스의 방법으로 중력 가속도를 측정하고 실제 중력 가속도 값과의 비교를 통해 오차율을 계산했으며, 본 튜토리얼의 교육적 활용에 대한 논의를 해보았다. 실험 결과, 실험으로 구한 중력 가속도 값과 실제 중력 가속도 값의 오차율은 1% 내외로 비교적 정확한 측정이 가능한 것으로 나타났으며, 실험값의 표본평균이 95% 신뢰구간 안에 포함되는 것으로 나타나 유의미한 실험이라는 결론을 내릴 수 있었다. 또한, MBL이 가진 구조적인 단점을 보완할 수 있는 점, 물리와 수학의 상호작용을 고려할 수 있는 점, STEAM 교육에서 정보 교과와의 융합이 가능한 점 그리고 장비 구비비용이 저렴한 점을 통해 측정실험의 교육적 활용 가능성을 보여주었다. 본 자료를 토대로 아두이노를 활용한 물리 실험이 과학영재 교육에서 더욱 활성화될 수 있도록 기대하는 바이다.

A Monte Carlo Computer Simulation Study for Blue Crab Capture Efficiency Experiment

  • A Monte Carlo computer simulation study was conducted to determine the most efficient sampling design for the blue crab dredge capture efficiency experiment performed in Chesapeake Bay, Maryland, U. S. A. The input values were the number of dredge tracks in each experimental area, the number of tows per experiment, the number of experiments, the mean density of crabs per unit area, the negative binomial coefficient, the gear capture efficiency, and the tow error. As a result of the study, a four-track experiment with twenty to twenty-eight tows was estimated to be the best in terms of precision and accuracy of the gear capture efficiency.

밀폐 업셋팅에서 금형과 제품 변형에 관한 연구 (Study on the Deformation of Die and Product in Closed Die Upsetting)

  • The study has been performed for the relation between die and product in closed die upsetting by the experiment. The strain of die has been given by the simple experiment using the strain gauge located at the outer surface of die and the deformation history of die and product has been given by the experiment and Lame's formula. The inner pressure of die causes the deformation of die that affects the accuracy of dimension and shape of product. The product with accurate dimension and shape can be obtained by analysing elastic deformation of die during upsetting process. The deformation of die during metal forming process has been usually predicted by the experience of industrial engineers or finite element analysis. But it is difficult to predict the dimension of product at unloading and ejected states. The study has given useful result for the deformation history of die and product through the experiment and Lame's formula at closed die upsetting, and can be applied in the die design for product with accurate dimension.

The experimental study on the influence of chamber music teaching on the mental health of college students in music universities

  • Purpose of the study To study the effects of teaching chamber music courses on the mental health of college students in music schools. The key to the results is as follows. There was a significant difference in the total level of mental health between the experimental and control classes after the experiment. The total level of mental health of male and female college students in the experimental class had significant differences after the experiment, respectively. There was no significant difference in the ten factors of scl-90 in the control class before and after the experiment, while there was a significant difference. in the ten factors of scl-90 in the experimental class before and after the experiment. The experimental teaching of chamber music courses improves the mental health level of female college students better than male college students. We have come to understand Teaching chamber music courses can significantly improve the mental health of college students in music schools.

Questionnaire Survey를 이용한 말의 품성 평가 (Assessment of Equine Temperament by a Questionnaire Survey)

  • The objective of the study is to assess temperament of a horse based on general temperament test by a questionnaire survey. Five test criteria were identified: gentleness, patience, aggressiveness, sensitivity, and friendliness, each on a 5-point scale. 114 horses bred at the National Institute of Animal Science (NIAS) in 2010, 2011 and 2012. The horses recorded scores of 3.6~3.9 for gentleness, 3.1~3.6 for patience, 3.4~4.0 for aggressiveness, 2.8~3.2 for sensitivity, and 3.4~3.8 for friendliness, the overall score for sensitivity the lowest. Horses born in 2012 scored lower than the rest in all five areas at a statistically significant level (P<0.05). By gender, the colts scored higher than the fillies in all five areas, but the discrepancy was not statistically significant. Factor analysis yielded only one factor, and the Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ value was 0.980 for standardization of Factor 1, indicating a high reliability of internal consistency. The correlation coefficients among the test criteria ranged between 0.85 and 0.91 (P<0.01). The assessment criteria used in this study are expected to provide a useful basis designing a temperament test horses.
