We carried out a follow-up study on the students who participated in International Astronomy Olympiad(IAO). We surveyed home and school environment, personal characteristics with regard to four high school student and five college students who participated in IAO from 2002 to 2005. In the home environment variable of science elite students who took part in the IAO, we found out significant corelation between science elites and their parent's educational career. In their personal characteristics, we found out considerably their motivation capacity, intelligent curiosity, flexible and creative thinking ability. This study illuminated that the experience of IAO participation offered the opportunity for the students to gain mare self-esteem and positive confidence on scientific study. The IAO experience is construed to effect greatly the students' future. Through the IAO experience, the participating students are expected to major in astronomy and become excellent astronomers in the future. We expect that the interest of student will increase greatly in the area of astronomy and it will contribute to the substantial development of Korean astronomy. In this respect, with the constant support to the IAO participants, the effort to cultivate outstanding astronomers and follow-up study on those participants of the IAO should be continued.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify attributes of the concept of cancer survivorship. Methods: Walker & Avant's concept analysis framework (2005) was used to review the medical & nursing text books, medical and nursing research articles related to cancer survivorship and published from 1985 to 2011. Results: There were nine aspects of the concept of cancer survivorship: A process, liminality, uncertainty, life-changing experience, complexity, unique experience, duality of positive and negative aspects, partnership, and need for support. Antecedents of cancer survivorship were cancer diagnosis and perception as a cancer survivor. Empirical referents of cancer survivorship were survival rate, quality of life, adaptation to the survivorship experience, and health-related hardiness, social support, spirituality, and health behavior. The consequences of cancer survivorship were effects on the physical, psychosocial, spiritual and socio-economic well-being of the patients. Conclusion: This concept analysis of cancer survivorship is expected to contribute to promotion of survivorship care in the clinical field by removing conceptual ambiguity and confirming the true meaning of survivorship care.

In come cases, people differently respond on the same joke or thoughtless behavior - sometimes like it and laugh, another time feel annoyed or angry. This fact is explained that experiences which we had in the past are remembered by emotional memory, so they cause different responses. When people face similar situation or feel similar emotion, they evoke the emotion experienced in the past and the emotional memory affects current emotion. This paper suggested the mechanism of the emotional memory using SOM through the similarity between the emotional memory and SOM learning algorithm. It was assumed that the mechanism of the emotional memory has also the characteristics of association memory, long-term memory and short-term memory in its process of remembering emotional experience, which are known as the characteristics of the process of remembering factual experience. And then these characteristics were applied. The mechanism of the emotional memory designed like this was applied to toy hammer game and I measured the change in the power of toy hammer caused by differently responding on the same stimulus. The mechanism of the emotional memory suggest in above is expected to apply to the fields of game, robot engineering, because the mechanism can express various emotions on the same stimulus.

The use of IoT (Internet of Things) is rapidly expanding to enhance the quality of life as seen in the interconnection between mobile devices and Web. This paper proposes an embedded system that connects sensors and mobile devices via IoT technology, improving the user's ability and service experience to remotely control the home appliances with mobile-detection features. Home appliances are expected to increase labor efficiency by utilizing the embedded system connected to the sensors. Using mobile applications to control home appliances remotely and to monitor operation status advances the user's knowledge, experience, and perspectives to experience refined life qualities.

To interpret the perception that originates from tactile sensibility during people touch and recognize the object surfaces, this study focuses on the development of a friction model that can describe the interaction of a stylus pen sliding over the counter surfaces. In addition, the study includes several other experimental factors such as the pressure, temperature, and topology of surface, which can have an effect on the emotional user experience concerning various surfaces; this research aims to suggest a method to quantitatively evaluate the relation between these experimental parameters and emotional user experience. Accordingly, the objective of research comprises the friction characteristic technology for measurement of fine tribological behavior and a standard to quantify the emotional feedback. Existing panels or input devices that provide interaction feedback about user actions simply operate with a single frequency vibration or sound response. On the contrary, this research investigates various interaction characteristics including friction force, frequency, and surface topology synthetically. Using the developed model, which can explain the relation between the friction parameters and emotional user experience, developers can design their product in order to provide the user with expected emotional sensibility. Consequently, it can contribute to reduce the development cost about sensitivity model.

There are few domestic studies on medical services in medically vulnerable areas where medical use is not met due to a lack of medical resources. The past studies on smart medicine targeting medically vulnerable areas grasp only the overall satisfaction level, or the sub-dimensions of satisfaction are not classified clearly. Also, it lacks consideration of the patient's needs. This study aims to analyze the effect of users' experience of the smart medicine pilot project conducted in medically vulnerable areas on satisfaction and demand. The user's experience was measured by variables in the dimensions of structure, process, and outcome. Among the pilot project participants, 282 subjects responded to the 2019 survey. Using the hierarchical regression method, we tried to find out the determinants of satisfaction and service demands. Experience factors affecting satisfaction were found to be accessibility, certainty, effectiveness, and efficiency. In addition, it was found that the demand in their 60s was high and that accessibility, certainty, effectiveness, and efficiency had a statistically significant effect on the demand. It is expected that the smart medicine pilot project will be effectively operated by well utilizing the factors influencing satisfaction and demand revealed in this study.

This study analyzed consumers' recognition and demand for probiotic products and dietary and living habits according to their probiotics ingestion experience to provide information on the development of probiotic products and marketing strategies in the health functional food-related industry. A total of 280 consumers living in Seoul, Incheon and Kyeonggi-do area were enrolled in this study. The consumers expected mostly intestinal health (80.4%) after ingesting probiotics. The appropriate price level for purchasing probiotics was between 20,000-50,000 won (58.2%), preferring a price range of 50,000 won or less (77.1%). There was a significant difference in the dietary habits depending on the experience of probiotics ingestion, but there was no difference in the living habit. Consumers took Vitamin C, red Ginseng and Ginseng the most instead of probiotics as health functional foods. Based on the results, a marketing strategy could be established to meet the consumer's needs, such as focusing on the effects of probiotics, building up various price policies and the development of new products mixing with other commonly consumed health supplements.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to provide basic data on the developement of oral health programs to maintain correct oral health in adolescence by identifying the relevance of health-related behavior and symptom experience to adolescents. Methods: Using the 14th(2018) online survey of youth health behavior, this study was conducted on students in grades1 middle school to grade5 high school in Korea and 30,463 boys, 29,577 girls were selected as the final analysis targets. Results: During the oral disease symptom experience, there was a statistically significant difference in smoking experience with teeth pain controlled general characteristics during eating. Conclusions: It is expected that it will be used as basic dat for the development of oral health programs to maintain the correct oral health status of adolescents by identifying the effects of health-related behaviors and related variables on oral diseases in Korea.

Purpose : This study aimed to explore and describe intensive care unit (ICU) nurses' experience of clinical adaptation. Methods : The participants were 14 ICU nurses with more than two years of working experience in the ICU. Data were collected through in-depth individual interviews conducted between July and October 2021. Theoretical sampling was used to the point of theoretical saturation. Data were analyzed using the Strauss and Corbin method. Results : A total of 79 concepts, 37 subcategories, and 16 categories were identified through open coding. Axial coding based on the paradigm model revealed that the central phenomenon was "The harsh adversity faced in the nursing field where life and death are determined" and the core category was "Enduring the adversity of caring for critically ill patients and achieving self-realization." ICU nurses' clinical adaptation process was explained in five phases: "confrontation period," "turbulent period," "seeking period," "struggling period," and "stabilized period." The five phases that affect interventional conditions were "Support from reliable people," "Recognition of administrative and financial support." Conclusion : This study provided novel insights for a comprehensive understanding of ICU nurses' clinical adaptation processes. Furthermore, the findings are expected to be used as basic data to develop multifaceted strategies to help ICU nurses' adaptation to critical care.

Shopping malls have become key players in the Indian retail space. Even in upcoming Indian towns, malls have been mushrooming. Raipur, the capital city of the Indian state of Chhattisgarh has witnessed the growth over the last few years. However, this unplanned growth of malls in cities is expected to lead to oversupply of mall space in the near future, making things difficult for mall developers. The study is an attempt to identify appropriate strategies for mall developers to iron out such kinks. This paper presents 'shopping experience' as a tool to compete, succeed and explore its composition in terms of its constituent factors. The paper uses Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) on a non-probability sample of 350 respondents. It condenses a set of twenty-two mall variables into five factors that directly influence the shopping experience. These factors included ambience, infrastructure, marketing focus, convenience and safety and security. In terms of significance, shoppers assigned different weightage to each of these factors. The study shed light on interesting insights regarding the expectations of mall shoppers in the city of Raipur. The results though interesting, may be extended to different social, economic and geographic contexts to check the universality. While strategizing, mall developers must assign proportionate effort on the factors based on the respective contribution to shopping experience. In light of intensifying competition in Raipur, the study is significant for future prospects of malls. In the absence of a scientific and objective basis, the developers run risk of making wrong investment and management decisions. This paper is a useful addition to the body of knowledge on management of shopping malls in India and is unique in terms of its focus on mall shoppers in the smaller Indian cities like Raipur.
