An Analysis on the Economic Effect of Educational Investment (교육투자의 경제적 효과분석에 관한 연구(1))

  • The purpose of this study is to find the economic effect of educational investment. In order to finding this. I have investigated to historical background of educational investment and as the method of analysis I examined the rate of return approach such as the residual approach. and the simple correlations approach. Historically, economics of education has concentrated on surrounding the relationship between education and economy, which the implicit assumption that investment in education contributed to increase the quality and productivity of the labor force and thus raise future individual and national income levels. First of all, at this paper I found to need boldness to increasing the amount of education budget annually and also positively studying about economics of education in Korea for high and good quality analysis of expansion economy and education.

  • Mechanical break system used in train, that mixed air break & electronic break system. this system suggest lots of ways for modify efficiency and solution of environmental problems due to recently intend to green growth. The mechanical break system has environmental & economical problem. Environmental sides(problem) are dust and noise etc and economical sides(problem) are replaced the spare parts that are breaking shoe and lining ect. For compensate those kind of weak points, we needs a wide territories of electronic break which is from high speed range to stop. This research is estimated the load torque due to an incline and stop the train method also check the characteristic of stop the train to estimate a torque follow the sharp drop.

  • As a key and core knowledge for the design of various types of nuclear reactors, the discipline of reactor physics has been advanced continually in the past six decades and has led to a very sophisticated fabric of analysis methods and computer codes in use today. Notwithstanding, the discipline faces interesting challenges from next-generation nuclear reactors and innovative new fuel designs in the coming. After presenting a brief overview of important tasks and steps involved in the nuclear design and analysis of a reactor, this article focuses on the currently-used design and analysis methods, issues and limitations, and current activities to resolve them as follows: (1) Derivation of the multi group transport equations and the multi group diffusion equations, with representative solution methods thereof. (2) Elements of modem (now almost three decades old) diffusion nodal methods. (3) Limitations of nodal methods such as transverse integration, flux reconstruction, and analysis of UO2-MOX mixed cores. Homogenization and related issues. (4) Description of the analytic function expansion nodal (AFEN) method. (5) Ongoing efforts for three-dimensional whole-core heterogeneous transport calculations and acceleration methods. (6) Elements of spatial kinetics calculation methods and coupled neutronics and thermal-hydraulics transient analysis. (7) Identification of future research and development areas in advanced reactors and Generation-IV reactors, in particular, in very high temperature gas reactor (VHTR) cores.

Safety analysis of nuclear containment vessels subjected to strong earthquakes and subsequent tsunamis

  • Nuclear power plants under expansion and under construction in China are mostly located in coastal areas, which means they are at risk of suffering strong earthquakes and subsequent tsunamis. This paper presents a safety analysis for a new reinforced concrete containment vessel in such events. A finite element method-based model was built, verified, and first used to understand the seismic performance of the containment vessel under earthquakes with increased intensities. Then, the model was used to assess the safety performance of the containment vessel subject to an earthquake with peak ground acceleration (PGA) of 0.56g and subsequent tsunamis with increased inundation depths, similar to the 2011 Great East earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Results indicated that the containment vessel reached Limit State I (concrete cracking) and Limit State II (concrete crushing) when the PGAs were in a range of 0.8-1.1g and 1.2-1.7g, respectively. The containment vessel reached Limit State I with a tsunami inundation depth of 10 m after suffering an earthquake with a PGA of 0.56g. A site-specific hazard assessment was conducted to consider the likelihood of tsunami sources.

Analysis of environmental impact of activated carbon production from wood waste

  • Activated carbon is carbon produced from carbonaceous source materials, such as coconut shells, coals, and woods. In this study, an activated carbon production system was analyzed by carbonization and activation in terms of environmental impact and human health. The feedstock of wood wastes for the system reduced fossil fuel consumption and disposal costs. Life cycle assessment methodology was used to analyze the environmental impacts of the system, and the functional unit was one tonne of wood wastes. The boundary expansion method was applied to analyze the wood waste recycling process for activated carbon production. An environmental credit was quantified by avoided impact analysis. Specifically, greenhouse gases discharged from 1 kg of activated carbon production system by feeding wood wastes were evaluated. We found that this system reduced global warming potential of approximately $9.69E+00kg\;CO_2-eq$. compared to the process using coals. The environmental benefits for activated carbon production from wood wastes were analyzed in contrast to other disposal methods. The results showed that the activated carbon system using one tonne of wood wastes has an environmental benefit of $163kg\;CO_2-eq$. for reducing global warming potential in comparison with the same amount of wood wastes disposal by landfilling.

Effects of Crocodile Breathing Exercise on Pain, Muscle Tone, and Muscle Stiffness in Patients with Non-specific Low Back Pain (크로커다일 호흡 운동이 비특이성 요통을 가진 환자들의 통증과 체간 근긴장도 및 근경직도에 미치는 영향)

  • PURPOSE: This study was to investigate the effects of crocodile breathing exercise on pain, muscle tone, and muscle stiffness of non-specific low back pain patients. METHODS: The subjects were 37 patients with nonspecific low back pain. The patients were divided into two groups. The experimental group (EG) performed crocodile breathing exercise and the control group (CG) performed chest expansion breathing exercise. The intervention was conducted for 10 minutes every day for a total of eight weeks. Pain was measured using a VAS. Muscle tone and stiffness were measured using Myoton PRO. Two points were measured for muscle tone and muscle stiffness. They were measured at 30mm from the spinous process of the L1 and T10 vertebra. RESULTS: Pain, muscle tone and muscle stiffness at the T10 level showed a significant decrease in both EG and CG. Muscle tone and muscle stiffness in the L1 level area decreased significantly in the experimental group but the control group did not show any difference. The only statistically significant difference was observed in the L1 muscle tone between the pre and post intervention values. CONCLUSION: This study suggests that Crocodile breathing is a good method for managing pain, muscle tone, and muscle stiffness in non-specific low back pain patients.

A Study on Bottom-Up Update of TPR-Tree for Target Indexing in Naval Combat Systems (함정전투체계 표적 색인을 위한 TPR-Tree 상향식 갱신 기법)

  • In modern warfare, securing time for preemptive response is recognized as an important factor of victory. The naval combat system, the core of naval forces, also strives to increase the effectiveness of engagement by improving its real-time information processing capabilities. As part of that, it is considered to use the TPR-tree in the naval combat system's target indexing because spatio-temporal searches can be performed quickly even as the number of target information increases. However, because the TPR-tree is slow to process updates, there is a limitation to handling frequent updates. In this paper, we present a method for improving the update performance of TPR-tree by applying the bottom-up update scheme, previously proposed for R-tree, to the TPR-tree. In particular, we analyze the causes of overlaps occurring when applying the bottom-up updates and propose ways to limit the MBR expansion to solve it. Our experimental results show that the proposed technique improves the update performance of TPR-tree from 3.5 times to 12 times while maintaining search performance.

  • The aim of this study is to analyze the policy effects of child care leave focusing on the childbirth in South Korea. This instituion of child care leave orinignally seeks to harmonize the work and family. The instituion is increasingly fortified in the receipants and benefits. This study analyze the policy effect of the institution using difference-in-difference method and Korea Welfare Panel Data. The result of the analysis suggest that substantial expansion of child care leave and family-friendly labor environment rebuilding are important.

Learning Experience of Nursing Students on Community Health Nursing Clinical Placements (간호대학생의 지역사회간호학실습경험)

  • Purpose: In this study undergraduate nursing students' experiences of learning in community health nursing clinical placements was explored on order to develop a more effective practice teaching method. Methods: Focus group interviews (FGI) were held with 11 nursing students in junior or senior year. The interviews were audio-taped semi-structured interviews and were analyzed using content analysis. Results: Nursing students felt that the education system for practice was incomplete in considering the nursing that was needed for their on-site practice. Also they were aware of the totality of the community and voluntarily tried to provide for the expansion of knowledge. Conclusion: Findings indicate a need to establish a cooperative plan between nursing schools and practice agencies and collaborative development in the community health nursing practice guidelines.

A Study on Automatic Return Dragging Detector with Real-time Data Transmission (실시간 데이터 전송이 가능한 자동 복귀형 끌림 물체 검지장치 연구)

  • Recently, an expansion of safety facilities has been widely applied to effectively manage the safety of train operation due to increase of the high-speed section of the general railway and the introduction of high-speed train. Accordingly, performance improvement, upgrading and high reliability of existing safety devices are required. the dragging detector, one of the safety devices, is an analogue system that consists of closed circuit with an electric current flows and operates when the closed circuit is opened by the impact of the dragging object. Such method has unreasonable problem that should be replaced after being detected. It is need to replace with an automatic return type dragging detector which is easy to maintain. In addition, it is necessary to develop a dragging detector that applicable to general railway and urban railway including high-speed railway, in accordance with the speeding up and densification of trains, although it is currently applied only to high-speed railway. In this paper, we propose an automatic return type dragging detector which has versatility and excellent maintainability with digital sensor and real time monitoring.
