수로터널의 유지관리 현황 및 거동특성 (The Present State and Behavior Characteristics of Water Supply Tunnel)

  • The water supply tunnel has different characteristics which play a important role in stable water supply to the public from mechanical behavior and maintenance in comparison with road md railway tunnel. In this study, the present state and characteristics of water supply tunnels controlled by K-water have been investigated. The distribution of effective stresses that takes into account the effect of seepage forces induced by internal water pressure are estimated from closed-form and numerical method. The analysis of stress-strain behavior, seepage problem and hydrojacking for ensuring safety of existing water supply tunnel against neighboring new construction has been conducted.

도로 터널내의 공기유동 양상을 예측하기 위한 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis to Predict Air Flow Phenomena in a Road Tunnel)

  • A 2-dimensional $k-{\varepsilon}$ numerical model was developed to explore the effects of vehicle movement, jet fan and wind speed for the ventilation of road tunnels. To consider the temperature distribution in the tunnel, the energy equation was solved with a source term of the energy exhausted from vehicles. Although the tunnel ventilation can be made by the piston effect of vehicle movement, an additional ventilation is necessary when a head wind is existing. Jet fans may assist the air flow in the tunnel. However, more efficient ventilation system should be necessary, because the exhaust gas from vehicles flow along the road surface and it cannot be diffused in the longitudinal tunnel.

A Cadaveric Study of Thread Cubital Tunnel Release with Newly Developed Threads

  • Objective : The percutaneous thread transection technique is a surgical dissecting method using a dissecting thread inserted through a needle under ultrasound guidance without skin incision. As the new dissecting threads were developed domestically, this cadaver study was conducted to compare the effectiveness and safety between the new threads (ultra V sswire and smartwire-01) and a pre-existing commercial dissecting thread (loop & shear) by demonstrating a modified looped thread cubital tunnel release. Methods : The percutaneous cubital tunnel release procedure was performed on 29 fresh cadaveric upper extremities. The pre-existing commercial thread was used in 5 upper extremities. The two newly developed threads were used in 24 upper extremities. Two practitioners performed the procedures separately. After the modified looped thread cubital release, anatomical and histological analyses were performed by a blinded anatomist. The presence of the dissected cubital tunnel and damaged adjacent soft tissue was assessed. Results : Out of the 29 cadaveric upper extremities, 27 specimens showed complete dissection of the Osborne ligament and the proximal fascia of the flexor carpi ulnaris muscle. One specimen was incompletely dissected in each of the ultra V sswire and smartwire-01 groups. There were no injuries of adjacent structures including the ulnar nerve, ulnar artery, medial antebrachial cutaneous nerve, or flexor tendon with either the commercial thread or the newly developed threads. The anatomical analysis revealed clear and sharp incisional margins of the cubital tunnel in the Smartwire-01 and loop & shear groups. All three kinds of threads maintained proper linear elasticity for easy handling during the procedure. The smartwire-01 provided higher visibility in ultrasound than the other threads. Conclusion : The newly developed threads were effective and safe for use in the thread cubital tunnel release procedure.

모형시험 및 수치해석을 통한 경사 시스템 록볼트의 보강효과 분석 (Evaluation on Reinforcing Effect of Inclined System Bolting by Model Tests and Numerical Analysis)

  • 최근에 일본의 시공사례에 따르면 터널확대를 위해 보호공(프로텍터)을 설치하고 기존 터널을 사용하면서 시공하는 경우에는 록볼트를 굴착방향에 수직하게 타설할 수 없어서 경사지게 타설하는 경우가 있다. 운용 중인 터널을 확대 시공하는 경우에는 작업조건이 매우 나쁘기 때문에 록볼트의 패턴(경사 록볼트 설치, 사전 록볼트 시공, 록볼트 제외 등)에 대한 검토가 필요하다. 이 연구에서는 모형시험을 이용하여 일반적으로 터널 굴착방향과 수직하게 설치되는 시스템 록볼트의 보강효과와 터널 굴착방향에 경사지게 설치되는 경사 시스템 록볼트의 보강효과를 비교하였다. 모형 록볼트의 설치각도, 설치간격, 정착 길이 등을 변화시켜 총 24회의 모형시험을 수행하였으며, 모형시험 결과 모형볼트 1개가 부담하는 면적에 대한 이완하중 발생률은 부담면적 감소에 따라 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 모형볼트 정착 길이 변화에 따른 이완하중 발생률은 정착 길이가 길어질수록 감소하는 경향이 나타났다. 한편 터널 지보재 설치효과를 주변 지반의 공학적 특성 증가로 간주하는 지보재 모형화 방법에 의한 2차원 수치해석 결과가 모형시험의 처짐 증가량 발생경향을 유사하게 예측하는 것으로 나타나 본 해석 기법이 경사 시스템 록볼트의 보강효과를 적절히 모사할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 최근 터널 구조물이 점차 노후화됨에 따라 터널의 안전성을 평가하기 위한 점검 및 진단이 많이 수행되고 있다. 그러나 터널구조물의 상태 및 안전성 평가에 대한 명확한 기준이 없어 조사자의 주관적인 판단에 의존할 수 밖에 없는 실정으로 이에 대한 체계적인 기준정립이 요구되고 있다. 또한 기존방법은 터널라이닝에 대한 평가에 많은 비중을 주고 있어 지반구조물로서의 터널특성을 제대로 반영하지 못하고 있으며, 상태평가요소과 터널등급산정과정이 체계적이지 못하여 이에 대한 보완이 필요하다 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 터널 상태 및 안전성 평가방법의 문제점을 개선하기 위한 새로운 터널구조물상태평가기준을 제시하였다. 본 기준은 국내외의 터널기준을 분석하여 상태평가요소를 선정하고 이를 점수화하였으며, 대표등급산정방법을 정량화하므로서 터널상태를 객관적으로 평가할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 기준과 방법은 터널구조물에 대한 상태평가에 객관성과 신뢰성을 확보하여 보다 효율적인 안전점검 및 진단업무에 활용될 수 있다.

Investigations of countermeasures used to mitigate tunnel deformations due to adjacent basement excavation in soft clays

  • In this study, various countermeasures used to mitigate tunnel deformations due to nearby multi-propped basement excavation in soft clay are explored by three-dimensional numerical analyses. Field measurements are used to calibrate the numerical model and model parameters. Since concrete slabs can constrain soil and retaining wall movements, tunnel movements reach the maximum value when soils are excavated to the formation level of basement. Deformation shapes of an existing tunnel due to adjacent basement excavation are greatly affected by relative position between tunnel and basement. When the tunnel is located above or far below the formation level of basement, it elongates downward-toward or upward-toward the basement, respectively. It is found that tunnel movements concentrate in a triangular zone with a width of 2 He (i.e., final excavation depth) and a depth of 1 D (i.e., tunnel diameter) above or 1 D below the formation level of basement. By increasing retaining wall thickness from 0.4 m to 0.9 m, tunnel movements decrease by up to 56.7%. Moreover, tunnel movements are reduced by up to 80.7% and 61.3%, respectively, when the entire depth and width of soil within basement are reinforced. Installation of isolation wall can greatly reduce tunnel movements due to adjacent basement excavation, especially for tunnel with a shallow burial depth. The effectiveness of isolation wall to reduce tunnel movement is negligible unless the wall reaches the level of tunnel invert.

근접시공에 대한 수로터널 지반조사 및 안정성 분석 (Site Investigation and stability analysis for water tunnel being neighboring construction)

  • In vicinity of Seoul, there has been water service tunnel that classified into 1st grade facility by special act for the safety control of public structures and with providing capacity equals to $1,543{\times}10^3$(ton/day) and inner pressure equals to $2.5-3.5kg/cm^2$. In this research, site investigation and stability analysis for water tunnel caused by new construction of road tunnel were carried out. the ground near water tunnel were zoned into spatial area having similar geotechnical characteristics and estimating geotechnical properties for each area. The site for analysis consists of banded biotite gneiss, biotite schist and granite gneiss with spatial non-homogeneity, and for that reason weathering and fault zone were distributed with large scale. It's important thing to consider spatial ground zone and their geotechnical properties properly into stability analysis at design and construction stage. Also, using results of site investigation, stability of existing tunnel have been analyzed for Hydraulic Fracture/Jacking and deformation in detail.

  • Generally it is informed that urethane materials are superior to the others in physical characteristics, durability, ground improvement and the influence to environment . But, the existing urethane methods are too expensive to apply. So this study has analyzed the applicability of TAS method which has developed the existing urethane injection mechanism. From the results, Extending the max-infection distance over l0m from 6m which the existing methods could inject to, TAS method has proved to be economical. Also, the TAS method is obtained quickly to ground improvement effect in various tunnel constructions because rise-time was relatively shorter than that of cement-grouting. Therefore, it is expected that TAS method would be applied a lot for water proof and ground improvement etc. owing to its many advantages mentioned the above.

  • These Days a lot of Noise Complaints in vicinity of Railway has been more increase than before. Almost 1/3 Residences who lives in Railway side are Exposure to Noise Pollution. Since the Apartment Buildings around Railway are getting more higher, so those of the Noise Barrier are not best solution anymore. We are going to make a New Plane with the state of the art technology for Railway Noise Abatement Control. Our Goal are focus on a development of Light Weight Noise Tunnel designed by new absorption mat'l and tunnel Stucture on the Overbridge and Viaduct of existing Railway. New Noise Tunnel will be reducing their weight more than 30% against Road Traffic One and also 10dB(A) Noise Reduction against Noise Barrier.

퍼지추론을 적용한 터널 조명제어시스템 (Tunnel Lighting Control System using Fuzzy Reasoning)

  • Tunnel lighting is composed of entrance zone, interior zone and exit zone by KS C 3703. We have to consider adaptation at entrance zone and exit zone lighting to prevent deteriorate visibility like black hole and white hole phenomenon. So External luminance, vehicle velocity and traffic volume should be considered in threshold zone lighting and vehicle speed and traffic volume should be considered in interior zone lighting. But existing tunnel lighting system is not good at visibility and economic because that is only controled by external luminance. So in this paper, We improve visibility and economic of tunnel lighting system using fuzzy reasoning according to external luminance, vehicle velocity, traffic volume.
