Key Account Management in Business-to-Business Relationship: Identifying Top K Persuaders Using Singular Value Decomposition

  • Purpose - Key account management is a supplier company initiated relational approach that has received great attention from both academics and practitioners manifested in the business-to-business relationship literatures. However, there is widespread debate and contention on what should be the underlying theoretical base for defining this vital part of relationship marketing. With the insights from the social exchange theory, present paper explores how social exchange affects the dynamic nature of key account management relationship at the organizational level. Research design, data, and methodology - The paper follows a comprehensive review approach to examine the relationship between social exchange theory and key account management approach. Conceptual arguments and findings are assessed across studies with the main objective of showing how social exchange theory develops the governance mechanism in maintaining the key account relationship. Results - Since relational norm is considered as a glue for the maintenance of buyer-seller relationship in social exchange theory, factors develop the non-contractual governance mechanism 'relationship' in business-to-business relationship and this norm replaces or supplements more formal governance mechanisms such as contracts are explored. Conclusions - This paper advances central relational norm to manage the company's most important key customers and demonstrates how this norm can be developed in buyer-seller key account relationship. Implications from this new perspective are forwarded.

A Numerical Solution of Transport of Mono- and Tri-valent Cations during Steady Water Flow in a Binary Exchange System

  • A one-dimensional transport of displacing monovalent ion, $A^+$, and a trivalent ion being displaced, $B^{3+}^ in a porous exchange system such as soil was approximated using the Crank-Nicolson implicit finite difference technique and the Thomas algorithm in tandem. The variations in the concentration profile were investigated by varying the ion-exchange equilibrium constant (k) of ion-exchange reactions, the influent concentrations, and the cation exchange capacity (CEC) of the exchanger, under constant flux condition of pore water and dispersion coefficient. A higher value of k resulted in a greater removal of the native ion, behind the sharper advancing front of displacing ion, while the magnitude of the penetration distance of $A^+$ was not great. As the CEC increased, the equivalent fraction of $B^{3+}^ initially in the soil was greater, thus indicating that a higher CEC adsorbed trivalent cations preferentially over monovalent ions. Mass balance error from simulation results was less than 1%, indicating this model accounted for instantaneous charge balance fairly well.

Increment of the Exchange Coupling in Fe-Ni Alloy Thin Films Deposited with a Bias Magnetic Field

  • The structure and magnetic properties of Fe-Ni films, deposited by DC magnetron sputtering on Si(111) wafer, have been studied. The spin wave stiffness constant is determined by Brillouin light scattering (BLS) and compared with the value obtained from magnetization measurements. The range of exchange interaction was determined as 0.4 atomic distances in the film deposited in a bias magnetic field, which is 1/2 that in the film grown in no bias magnetic field. The results show that the dimensions of exchange coupling increased by the sputtering in the magnetic field.

  • Synthetic mica $NaMg_{2.5}(Si_4O_{10})F_2 (Na-TSM)$ was treated with HCl solution and H-type exchange resin to investigate the chemical stability and the ion exchange by measuring the dissolution of chemical components and the exchanged $H^+$ ion. The replacement of $Na^+$ ion occurred in contact with HCl solution and H-type ion exchange resin at the surface of Na-TSM particles reached $Na^+$ ions at maximum value of 70~80%. $Mg^{2+}$ ion of octahedral layer became to dissolve from the pH2 solution and th amount of it dissolved in-creased almost proportional to $H^+$ ion concentration from around 0.02N $H^+$ ion equilibrium concentration. The crystalline structure of Na-TSM was destructed by dissolution of Mg2+ ion in cncentrated hydrochloric acid solution and resulted silica gel precipitation.

판형 종이 재질 전열교환 소자의 장기 성능 변화에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Long-Term Performance Variation of the Plate-Type Enthalpy Exchange Element Made of Paper)

  • Long-term performance of the enthalpy exchange element is a topic of current interest due to the concern of possible performance degradation over time. In this study, a 350 CMH enthalpy recovery ventilator equipped with an enthalpy exchange element was installed in an office room, and the performance has been traced over the past 5 years. The appearance, overall dimension, thermal performance, leakage ratio and anti-bacterial performance were checked annually. Results showed that the change in thermal performance (sensible, latent and enthalpy efficiency) was negligible with periodic cleaning with an air gun. However, the leakage ratio increased with time, measuring 7.3% after 5 years. Anti-bacterial test revealed that no bacteria were found during the test period. The largest change in the dimension occurred at the middle location of the element, although the change was less than 2% of the initial value.

Spin Exchange Coupling in Dimethoxo-Bridged Dichromium(III) Complexes: A Density Functional Theory Study

  • For the [$Cr_2(H_2tmp)_2Cl_4$] compound, simplified models with two bridging methoxo ligands have been studied. The influence of the bridging Cr-O-Cr bond angles on the exchange coupling between metal atoms in the model compound has been analyzed by means of density functional calculations with the broken-symmetry approach. Coupling constant calculated for the full structure is in good agreement with the experimentally reported value, confirming the validity of the computational strategy used in this work to predict the exchange coupling in a family of related dinuclear Cr(III) compounds. The calculations indicate a good correlation between the calculated coupling constant and the sum of the squared energy gap of three pairs of metal $t_{2g}$ OMSOs with a limited variation of the Cr-O-Cr angle. The spin density distribution and the mechanism of magnetic coupling interactions are discussed.

Exchange Bias Modifications in NiFe/FeMn/NiFe Trilayer by a Nonmagnetic Interlayer

  • Modification in exchange bias of a NiFe/FeMn/NiFe trilayer, on introduction of a nonmagnetic Al layer at the top FeMn/NiFe interface, is investigated in multilayers prepared by rf magnetron sputtering. The introduction of Al layer leads to vanishing of bias of the top NiFe layer. But the bias for the bottom NiFe layer increases steadily with increasing Al layer thickness and attains bias (230 Oe) which is greater than that of the trilayer without the Al layer (150 Oe). When the top NiFe layer thickness is varied, exchange bias has highest value at 12 nm thickness for 1 nm thicknes of Al layer. Ion beam etching of the top NiFe layer also leads to an enhancement in bias for the bottom NiFe layer.

고분자 이온교환수지를 이용한 의료.식품용 멸균제 이산화염소의 전기화학분해 발생 (Electrochemical Generation of Chlorine Dioxide Using Polymer Ion Exchange Resin)

  • 이온교환수지(ion exchange resin; IER)를 이용하여 이산화염소($ClO_2$)의 전구체 용액인 아염소산나트륨($NaClO_2$) 용액으로부터 아염소산이온($ClO_2^-$)을 흡착시킨 후 전기분해장치(electrolysis system)에 의한 이산화염소 가스 발생 특성을 조사하였다. 이온교환수지는 강염기성 음이온교환수지를 사용하였으며, 전극으로는 Ru, Ir이 코팅된 Ti plate를 사용하였다. 반응조의 교반속도, 온도, 아염소산 제조농도, 이온교환수지의 투입량과 형태에 따라 이온교환수지의 아염소산이온($ClO_2^-$) 흡착량에 미치는 영향을 조사하고 최대 흡착량을 나타내는 이온교환수지를 도출하였다. 전기분해장치에 의한 이산화염소의 발생 추이를 관찰하고 발생 목표값에 최적화된 조건을 실험계획법인 반응표면분석(response surface design)으로 선정하였다. 최대 흡착량을 나타내는 강염기성 음이온교환수지는 SAR-20 (TRILITE Gel type II형)이며 그 흡착량은 약 110 mg/IER (g)으로 관찰되었으며, 전기분해장치의 이산화염소 발생 최적조건은 멸균 목표값인 900~1000 ppm, 1 h에서 정전류는 전류인가 전극의 면적을 기준으로 $A/dm^2$, $N_2$ gas 유량은 4.7 L/min이었다.

개별기업의 환노출과 비대칭성에 관한 연구 (The Foreign Exchange Exposure and Asymmetries on Individual Firms)

  • 본 연구는 1987년 1월 5일부터 2001년 12월 28일까지의 일별 및 월별 자료를 가지고 미국 달러화와 일본 엔화가 기업의 주식수익률에 미치는 영향 및 비대칭성을 분석하였다. 일별 자료에 대해서는 오차항의 이분산을 고려해 자기회귀와 GARCH 계열 모형을 사용하였으며, 월별 자료에 대해서는 자기회귀모형을 사용했다. 전체기간 및 하위기간에 대한 분석결과는 일별 자료가 월별 자료에 비해 환노출을 발견하는 데 보다 탁월하다는 것을 보여주고 있다. 또한 EGARCH(1, 1)와 GJR-GARCH(1, 1)로 일별 자료를 분석하는 것이 보다 높은 설명력을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 노출된 기업의 대부분에서 음의 환노출이 발견되고 있다. 이는 우리나라 기업의 주식수익률은 환율인상에 대해서는 부정적 영향을, 환율인하에 대해서는 긍정적 영향을 받는 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 비대칭성에 대한 분석 결과는 우리나라 기업은 대부분 비대칭적 환노출에 직면하고 있으며, 실물옵션이론보다는 시장중시가격이론이 보다 설득력이 있다는 결론을 제시해주고 있다. 또한 월별 자료가 일별 자료에 비해 비대칭 분석을 정확히 할 수 있는 것도 발견되었다.

Post-sulfonation에 의한 SBS 이온교환막의 제조 및 특성 (Preparation and Property of SBS Ion-exchange Membrane Via Post-sulfonation)

  • 본 연구에서는 post sulfonation 반응을 통하여 SBS 양이온교환막을 제조하였다. 술폰화 양이온교환막의 술폰화도, 함수율, 이온교환용량, 전기저항 및 전기전도도등 막의 전기적 특성을 술폰화 시간을 변수로 하여 확인하였다. 술폰화 SBS 막의 술폰화도는 반응시간 및 황산의 농도가 증가함에 따라 증가하였으며 최대 술폰화도는 24.0%이었다. 또한 막의 함수율과 이온교환용량은 술폰화도가 증가함에 따라 증가하였으며 각각 41.2%, 0.80 meq/g로 가장 높았으며, 전기저항과 전기전도도는 각각 $23.6{\Omega}{\cdot}cm^2$, $4.24{\times}10^{-4}S/cm$이었다.
