쓰기검사에서 글씨체가 평가결과에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Excellent or Bad Handwriting on the Writing Assessment)

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of handwriting on the writing assessment, according to whether the handwriting is excellent or bad. Methods: A total of 24 elementary and middle school teachers participated in this study and assessed 6 original writings and 6 transcriptions of the same original writings using the HWP 2007 program. Six writings were collected from elementary students of 4th to 6th grades, 3 of 6 students presented with excellent handwriting and 3 of 6 with bad handwriting. The assessments were done according to the standards of propositional knowledge assessment (You & Jeong, 2008). Results: In the excellent handwritings, the rules of orthography and the contents of introduction of the original writings were scored higher than those in the transcriptions. The difference between transcription and original writing showed minus scores in original writing assessments and plus scores in transcription assessments. In the propositional knowledge score and its subscales scores - content knowledge, text knowledge, language knowledge and text context knowledge -, were differences in transcription assessments significantly higher than those in original writing assessments. Several assessment indices - clarity of the ending, contents of introduction, appropriate contents, rules of orthography, structured composition and various vocabularies showed significantly higher differences in transcription assessments than those in original writing assessments. Conclusions: The excellent handwriting could be assessed high and the bad handwriting could be assessed low. These results suggest that we should consider the effects of handwriting factors on the results of writing assessment and that the transcription could be used for an accurate writing assessment.

딥러닝에 의한 한글 필기체 교정 어플 구현 (An Implementation of Hangul Handwriting Correction Application Based on Deep Learning)

  • 현재 디지털 기기의 확산과 함께 일상에서 손으로 쓰는 글씨의 비중은 점점 줄어들고 있다. 키보드와 터치스크린의 활용도 증가에 따라 한글 필기체의 품질 저하는 어린 학생부터 성인까지 넓은 범위의 한글 문서에서 관찰되고 있다. 그러나 한글 필기체는 여전히 개인적인 고유한 특징을 포함하면서 가독성을 제공하는 많은 문서 작성에 필요하다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 손으로 쓴 한글 필기체의 품질을 개선하고, 교정하기 위한 목적의 어플 구현을 목적으로 한다. 제안된 어플은 CRAFT(Character-Region Awareness For Text Detection) 모델을 사용하여 필기체 영역을 검출하고, 딥러닝으로서 VGG-Feature-Extraction 모델을 사용하여 필기체의 특징을 학습한다. 이때 사용자가 작성한 한글 필기체의 음절 단위로 신뢰도를 인식률로 제시하고, 또한, 후보 폰트들중에서 가장 유사한 글자체를 추천하도록 구현한다. 다양한 실험을 통해 제안한 어플은 기존의 상용화된 문자 인식 소프트웨어와 비교할만한 우수한 인식률을 제공함을 확인할 수 있다.

임언국(任彦國)의 "치종방(治瘇方)" 번역 연구 (A Study on "Chijongbang(治瘇方)")

  • This study is purposed to list the full translation of "The secret method of tumor treatment(治瘇方)" and to report the results to the academic world. The results are described as follows. 1. It seems to be difficult to accept the current "The secret method of tumor treatment(治瘇秘方)" as the original script of "The method of tumor treatment(治瘇方)". It seemed that the Imeonguk(任彦國)'s 'Important and Valuable Method(遺方)' at the era of Joseon was copied by handwriting among the private sector. 2. There are contents which are overlapped with "Experience Method of Acupuncture(針灸經驗方)". A further study is required whether the "Experience Method of Acupuncture" was added later on. Because resolution for the before and after of these two books may be acted as an important matter to conjecture the related schools with acupuncture science. 3. The Korean style unique method and terminology were introduced frequently in "The method of tumor treatment". Besides that, materials for the medicine were filled with the things of easy-to-contact in our daily life. It is regarded as one of the excellent materials to confirm the superiority of oriental medical science through the clinical experiments today.

한글 캘리그래피(Calligraphy)가 활용된 패턴 디자인에 관한 연구 (Study on the Pattern Design where Hangeul Calligraphy is Utilized)

  • This study will explore the application of the Korean alphabet 'Hangul' and its calligraphy on fashion design. Hangul is well known for its great formative characteristics. Its calligraphy has unique features that express the implicative meaning of the Korean language while simultaneously displays beautiful shapes that draw the viewer's eye. When Hangul calligraphy is applied on the pattern design, it can be an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the visual beauty of Hangul. The purpose of this study is to develop the pattern designs that utilize the Hangul calligraphy and apply them in various fields of fashion. The detailed concepts of this study are as follows. First, the theoretical concepts and characteristics of both Hangul calligraphy and pattern design will be understood. Second, the aesthetic characteristics of calligraphy will be drawn by case analysis on the artworks of famous calligraphers such as Kim Jong-geon, Kang Byeong-in, Lee Sang-hyeon, Lee Gyu-bok and other representative calligraphers who design the beauty of Korean calligraphy by handwriting and brush-writing. The obtained results will be used to explore the desirable direction of fashion design. Third, eight pattern motif fashion works that utilize Hangul calligraphy in accordance with the arrangement of different characteristics of fashion design will be presented.

구조적 서명 검증에서의 참조 서명의 데이터 크기 고정화 기법 (A Technique for Fixing Size of Reference Signature Data in Structural Signature Verificaiton)

  • 구조적 접근방법에 의한 서명검증은 서명을 부분획 단위의 집합 구조로 표현하여 서명 데이터를 분석하기 때문에 서명의 국부적인 변화의 특성을 효율적으로 흡수하여 우수한 검증 효과를 나타낸다. 그러나 이 방법은 실용화할 때 데이터의 크기가 고정되지 않는 문제가 발생한다. 이 논문에서는 이 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 상대적으로 중요한 부분을 선택하여 데이터를 고정크기로 만듦으로서 데이터의 크기를 줄이는 방법을 제안한다. 실험 결과, 고정된 크기로 선택된 서브패턴에 대해서 국부적인 변화도와 복잡도에 의한 가중치를 적용한 결과, 더 좋은 검증율을 보였으며, 이 때 고정된 크기를 만들기 위한 최소 크기의 참조 모델의 서브패턴의 개수는 일정 갯수의 범위에서 적절히 고정될 수 있음을 보였다.
