This study was performed to analyze a path model that investigated the relations among financial statements financial management and financial satisfaction of urban households. For this purpose conceptual framework based on the system theory was suggested. Empirical test's results showed some evidence has been provided that supported that conceptual frame-work. The level of living and gap between the level and standard of living measure were vital in the model investigating financial management and financial satisfaction, There were statistically significant direct effects of them on financial management however there were many indirect effects that mediate through them as well Also The financial management was accepted in the model investigating financial satisfaction. There was statistically significant direct effect on it and indirect effect that mediated through the financial management.

The main purpose of this paper is to present data about schm constructions in English and to examine them within the framework of Optimality Theory. American people sometimes reduplicate a word in deprecation using a prefix schm- or shm-, as in fancy-shmancy, and old-shmold. In these data, reduplicants surface as a copy of the whole word except the onset of the first syllable, which is replaced with schm. My data include some examples where the onset of the second syllable, not the first syllable, within the word reduplication is deleted and replaced with fixed segmentism schm, which seems to be infix rather than prefix. Above all, this study presents concrete evidence for the existence and function of ‘syllable’ and ‘foot’ known as prosodic categories by examining schm reduplication. Such extensions of schm-reduplcation also make predictions about types of outputs corresponding to their inputs.

Frost ring formed in the secondary xylem of Pinus radiata was examined using various microscopic techniques. Cell walls in a frost ring were poorly developed, lacking in the proportion of wall components. Formation of secondary cell wall was imperfect and thickness of secondary wall was varied. Cytochemical examinations provided the evidence that the synthesis of structural polysaccharides and lignin was inhibited, resulting in the malformation of secondary cell walls. Judging by the highly irregular nature of the cell wall, it appears that cellulosic/hemicellulosic framework was affected and the template for lignification by frost.

The Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) has been studying the e-Science paradigm. With its successful application to particle physics, we consider the application of the paradigm to astroparticle physics. The Standard Model of particle physics is still not considered perfect even though the Higgs boson has recently been discovered. Astrophysical evidence shows that dark matter exists in the universe, hinting at new physics beyond the Standard Model. Therefore, there are efforts to search for dark matter candidates using direct detection, indirect detection, and collider detection. There are also efforts to build theoretical models for dark matter. Current astroparticle physics involves big investments in theories and computing along with experiments. The complexity of such an area of research is explained within the framework of the e-Science paradigm. The idea of the e-Science paradigm is to unify experiment, theory, and computing. The purpose is to study astroparticle physics anytime and anywhere. In this paper, an example of the application of the paradigm to astrophysics is presented.

Over the last several years, regarding to the strategic items, the international community has seen governments make more formal commitments to adopt and implement effective export controls to counter the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction(WMD). United Nations Security Council Resolution 1540(that is "S/RES/1540") stands as the most important of these commitments. Many UN members already have export control laws and regulations in place to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Many members also participate in a variety of formal and informal international arrangements to coordinate their export control efforts. Nonetheless, each of these countries has its own unique legal framework for export controls. This generates considerable diversity in the construction of the specific national legal authorities. Over the last few years, however, a consensus over what constitutes the key elements of effective legal authorities for export controls has begun to emerge. Evidence for this development comes in the identification of best legal authorities or principles at several multilateral conferences on export controls.

At present, the Korean electricity industry is undergoing restructuring and the Cost Based-generation Pool(CBP) market is being operated preparing for Two Way Bidding Pool(TWBP) market open. As the circumstance of the traditional system is changed according to power system deregulation, the simulation tool which should reflect market code providing market operating mechanism is needed to analyze an electricity market. This paper presents the development of an unique market simulator, Market Modeling and Price Simulator(MMPS) that is designed to imitate the Korean electricity market considering uniform price. The MMPS is developed in VB.NET and is composed of two modules that consist of market modeling and price simulation interfacing access database program. To evidence the features and the performance of MMPS, a small two way bidding market with 12-bus system and one way bidding market for generator competition will be presented for the electricity market simulations using MMPS.

본 연구는 거시건전성 감독의 정의 목적, 통화신용정책과의 보완, 상충 관계 및 효과를 분석하고 있다. 한국의 경험을 살펴보면 금융안정을 위한 LTV나 DTI의 감독효과는 분명히 나타나지 않는다. 더구나 물가가 안정되어 있는 여건에서 금융시장의 불안이 심화되는 경우, 거시건전성감독과 통화신용정책은 서로 상충되는 결과를 초래할 수 있다. 이러한 불합리성을 최소화하기 위해서는 중앙은행, 감독당국, 그리고 재정정책의 주체 간의 정책조정이 선행되어야 한다.

This article presents Bayesian approach to regression splines with knots on a grid of equally spaced sample quantiles of the independent variables under functional measurement error model.We consider small area model by using penalized splines of non-linear pattern. Specifically, in a basis functions of the regression spline, we use radial basis functions. To fit the model and estimate parameters we suggest a hierarchical Bayesian framework using Markov Chain Monte Carlo methodology. Furthermore, we illustrate the method in an application data. We check the convergence by a potential scale reduction factor and we use the posterior predictive p-value and the mean logarithmic conditional predictive ordinate to compar models.

Relatively little is known about the relationship between taxes and asset prices. Differential tax treatment of assets in the same risk class implies differential pricing. Conversely, the ability of tax-exempt investors to engage in tax arbitrage should drive any pricing differences away. The differential tax treatment of classes of US Treasury securities provides a straightforward setting for the examination of possible tax-effects in asset prices. Using the Cox-Ingersoll-Ross Term Structure Model as our framework, we examine the pricing of US Treasury securities over two distinct tax regimes. Evidence that tax effects are not arbitraged away is presented.

This paper proposes an empirical evidence about contextual factors which determine perceived business performances of small firms resulted from IT investment. In this paper, small firms are defined as firms of which total employees are below fifty. These small firms account for 95% of total number of private companies in Korea. We used a perceived IT performance model based on Balanced Scorecard framework to evaluate IT performance of small firms. And data were collected by Web and e-mail survey method with multiple screening. Statistical results show that business performance of small firms are differentiated in terms of firm size, location, longevity, age of owner, education level of owner, while industry sector, profitability, sex of owner don't make significant differences.
