Study on the Development of Training Programs for Standardized Patients of the Practical Examination Portion of the National Dental Licensing Examination

  • Purpose: The practical examination portion of the National Dental Licensing Examination (NDLE) is slated to be administered in the latter half of 2021 in the form of a clinical performance examination that comprehensively evaluates the patient-dentist interaction using standardized patients (SPs). The SPs should be equipped with the basic qualities and capacity as evaluators for a fair and reliable administration of the test. Materials and Methods: In this study, we analyzed the existing training materials for SPs who participated in domestic and overseas practical tests for the development of training materials for SPs through seminars and surveys of 11 dentistry schools and colleges. Result: First, SPs should be selected according to the basic quality criteria and capacity, which they must possess, and the preliminary basic training about the details which they must have knowledge of and be provided through videorecorded cases before the implementation of the preliminary field training. Second, the roles of SPs and the calibration process of the evaluation result forms are needed when conducting the preliminary field training for SPs. After watching video-recorded scenario cases, the SPs participate in discussions about the watched videos before proceeding to calibration practices of evaluation result forms. Third, because the Type A questionnaire of the practical examination of the NDLE is dependent on the SPs' capacity and training, the fairness of the practical test is largely dependent on the SPs. Therefore, practicing the roles as evaluators and evaluation training should be provided using practical test items that can improve the reliability of the test and show a high level of reproducibility about the same case. Conclusion: The findings of this study will be utilized for the development of training materials for SPs, so they can participate in the administration of a fair and reliable practical examination of the NDLE.

A Study on the Direction of Improvement Based on the Survey of the Status of Field Practice

  • This study attempted to grasp the current status of field training in the Department of Library and Information Science and the training institutions of the students of the Department of Library and Information Science and to propose a development plan based on this. To this end, a questionnaire survey and survey were conducted on the status of field practice in the Department of Library and Information Science at 4-year and 2-year colleges. As a result of the study, first, it was analyzed that field training has an effect on the employment competitive- ness and employment competency of students, and the field training environment has an effect on career decisions of students in the Department of Library and Information Science. Second, it was found that the library with the most field training was found to be a public library, and it was investigated that in order to allow students to experience various institutions and choose their career path, it was necessary to jointly discover and use field training institutes. Third, the evaluation contents or evaluators of the field training did not show a big difference by school, and it was found that most universities are evaluating the field practice using various scales. Lastly, in order to maintain the level of on-the-job training to some extent, it is necessary to develop a training manual and distribute it to each university.

  • In general, reliability of AHP depends on pairwise comparison of evaluators. In addition, human judgment on the importance of alternatives or criteria is always imprecise and vague. The Fuzzy AHP technique is suggested and used widely recently. In this paper, we prioritize future energy technology development for well focused R&D. We selected 3 criteria and 10 sub-criteria. According to the result in this study, the most important sub-criterion is the precedence over other competitive technology, the second is the possibility for fundamental technology acquisition, and the third is the improvement energy efficiency. The other side, the lowest important sub-criterion is the technology level compared with advanced countries.

  • The purpose of this article is to introduce a useful methodology of effective goal-setting for the team-level units. As a way to overcome some common symptoms in terms of Strategic Performance Evaluation System such as lack of knowledge on goal-setting, disconnection of process, problem of judging the degree of difficulty about objectives, limits of staff departments evaluation, fairness and authority of evaluators, weakness in coaching technique, and quantity or figure-oriented evaluation, to name a few, and to seek a more plausible goal-setting methodology, the author suggests a persuasive goal-setting concept: VAR(Value-Added Results). VAR, as the end-results, is the team contributions that add value to the organization, and it results from the team's activities. In addition to these goal-setting technique based on the concept of value-added results, several aspects should be improved for Strategic Performance Evaluation System to be implemented more effectively. They are: 1) shift from MBO to MP & D(Managing Performance & Development), 2) impartial exercise of evaluation authority as a organizational public assets, 3) reinforcement of maternal leadership and servantship instead of paternal leadership, 4) utilization of IT-based evaluation system.

지식재산평가의 적정성에 대한 연구: 기술보증기금의 특허가치평가를 중심으로 (A Study on the Appropriateness of Intellectual Property Valuation: The Patent Valuation of Korea Technology Finance Corporation)

  • 최근 특허권을 포함한 지식재산권에 대하여 다양한 목적으로 가치평가가 이뤄지고 있으며, 특히 특허가치평가를 통한 대출, 보증, 담보용의 평가가 기술금융의 활성화와 더불어 관심이 제고되고 있다. 비록 특허가치평가에 관한 다양한 연구가 진행되어 왔으나, 특허가치평가의 적정성에 관련한 연구는 거의 이뤄지지 않고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기술가치평가의 방법 중 실무에서 가장 많이 사용되는 수익접근법(DCF모형)을 적용하여 산출된 추정가치와 평가이후 수집된 재무제표를 바탕으로 산출한 실제가치를 비교 분석함으로써 특허가치평가의 적정성에 대한 문제를 분석한다. 실증분석 결과, 특허가치 평가액에 대한 추정가치와 실제가치의 차이는 통계적으로 유의미하게 차이가 있다는 것을 확인하였고, 평가업무별로 추정가치와 실제가치가 차이가 있다는 것을 발견하였다. 또한 기술성 평가자에 따른 차이 분석에서는 교수, 변리사, 연구원에 있어서는 차이가 발생하지 않고 있는데 반해 변리사와 기타 평가자간에는 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 확인되었고, 평가대상 업종별 분석에서도 유의한 차이가 발견되었다.

NCS 기반 직업능력개발훈련 기관인증평가를 위한 평가자의 역할과 역량 분석 (Analysis of Evaluator's Role and Capability for Institution Accreditation Evaluation of NCS-based Vocational Competency Development Training)

  • NCS의 성공은 직업능력개발훈련 기관인증평가자의 역할과 역량에 달려 있다. 이 연구는 NCS기반 직업능력개발훈련 기관인증을 위한 평가자의 역할과 역량을 도출하는 데 목적이 있다. 델파이 기법을 적용하여 평가자의 구체적 역할을 다각적으로 탐색하고, 필요한 지식과 기술, 태도 그리고 특성을 도출하여 그 타당성을 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 교육훈련 전문가와 심사평가 전문가를 패널로 선정하여 3차에 걸친 델파이 연구를 진행하였다. 연구 결과, 평가자의 역할은 총 8개로 운영자, 조정 중재자, 협력자, 분석가, 검증가, 기관평가자, 기관컨설턴트, 학습자로 분류되었고, 각 역할에 따른 역량은 총 25개로 도출되었다. 지식 영역은 HRD 지식, NCS 지식, 직업능력개발훈련 지식, 훈련기관인증평가 지식의 총 4개의 역량이 포함되었다. 기술 영역은 갈등관리 능력, 대인관계 능력, 문서작성 능력, 문제해결 능력, 분석 능력, 사전준비 능력, 시간관리 능력, 의사결정 능력, 정보이해 활용 능력, 종합적사고 능력, 직업훈련기관에 대한 이해 능력, 커뮤니케이션 능력, 피드백 능력, 핵심파악 능력의 총 14개의 역량으로 구성되었다. 태도영역은 객관성 및 공정성, 서비스 마인드, 소명의식, 윤리의식, 자기개발, 책임감, 팀워크의 총 7개로 정리됐다. 이 연구의 결과로 도출된 역할과 역량은 평가자가 일정한 요건을 갖추어 공정하고 체계적으로 인증평가할 수 있도록 평가자 대상 교육프로그램을 설계하고 운영하는 데 유용할 것이다. 특히, 평가자의 경험과 역할에 따라 기초교육 및 향상 교육을 실시할 수 있도록 역량별 교육 프로그램을 모듈별로 설계하고, 지속적으로 평가자의 품질을 관리하는 데 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

Re-examining the Potential for Schema to Aid Students towards Developing EFL Reading Skills

  • The current study reported on the continuing relevance of the schema theory for reading as it relates to the field of teaching and SLA, whilst highlighting the inherent limitations affecting individual learners. A relevant study was conducted for this article focusing on the extent to which university teacher trainees of English Education are exposed to second language readings with an adherence towards utilizing prior knowledge and drawing upon schemata to support their comprehension. Results from quantitative and qualitative data measured and collected from two groups of university students respectively, indicated certain advantages to this strategy use in respect of increased understanding, familiarity, and comfort level in SL reading. However, those same results identified existing limitations associated with cultural bias, stereotyping and a tendency to focus on wrong information when activating said schemata. As such, the purpose of this study is to promote awareness of the schema theory as an effective strategy option whilst reinforcing a need to pay heed to the concerns associated with strict reliance upon such theory to aid reading skills. Further discussion of these issues and pedagogical implications has been provided along with both suggested considerations regarding teaching for EFL teachers and evaluators.

주제범위 문헌고찰에 기반한 교육전담간호사의 역할과 성과에 대한 탐색 (Exploring the Roles and Outcomes of Nurse Educators in Hospitals: A Scoping Review)

  • This study was conducted to examine trends in research about nurse educators in Korean hospitals. The methodological framework consisted of previous work by Arksey and O'Malley. A literature search was performed of electronic databases (RISS, KISS, CINAHL, and PubMed) from January 2000 to June 2022. Each study was collated and analyzed, and the studies' data were abstracted into the following categories: publication year, study design, study participants, and education program details. Eight studies were reviewed. Most of the studies were published after 2020 (87.5%). The most frequently used design was quasi-experimental (50.0%). There were three studies whose subjects were nursing educators and five studies were conducted on programs in which nurse educators participated. In Korean medical institutions, clinical nurse educators have various roles, including the development and operation of programs and serving as facilitators and evaluators. In most studies, knowledge and skills were measured as outcome variables of educational programs led by nurse educators. The roles of nurse educators were diverse in Korean medical institutions. Therefore, a program to enhance the competency of nurse educators is needed. Judging from the effects of nurse educators in Korean medical institutions, it is necessary to expand the nurse educator system, and additional research on nurse educators should be conducted.

임상판단모델에 근거한 디브리핑 적용이 임종간호 학습성과에 미치는 효과: 비무작위 대조시험설계 (Effect of Debriefing Based on the Clinical Judgment Model on Simulation Based Learning Outcomes of End-of-Life Care for Nursing Students: A Non-Randomized Controlled Trial)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify effects of debriefing based on the clinical judgment model for nursing students on their knowledge, skill performance, clinical judgment, self-confidence and learner satisfaction during simulation based end-of-life care (ELC) education. Methods: Simulation based ELC education was developed in six steps as follows: selection of learning subjects and objects, development of learning tools, a trial run of simulation-based education, students' skill training, and evaluators' training. Forty-eight senior nursing students (25 in the experimental group and 23 in the control group) participated in the simulation-based ELC education using a high-fidelity simulator. Debriefing based on the clinical judgment was compared with the usual debriefing. Results: ANCOVA showed that there were differences in knowledge (F=4.81, p=.034), skill performance (F=68.33, p<.001), clinical judgment (F=18.33, p<.001) and self-confidence (F=4.85, p=.033), but no difference in satisfaction (t=-0.38, p=.704) between the experimental and control groups. Conclusion: This study found that debriefing based on the clinical judgement model is effective for supporting nursing students for reflecting on clinical judgment and improving their diverse competencies in complex clinical settings such as ELC.

기술가치평가 과제관리의 갈등관리에 관한 사례연구 (A Case Study on Conflict Types and Management for Technology Valuation Project)

  • 기술가치평가(Technology Valuation)는 특정 기술이나 기술을 기반으로 사업화 하는 데 있어 해당기술과 사업화 가치를 평가하는 행위, 절차 및 기법 등을 일컫는다. 기술의 가치와 기술을 기반으로 하는 사업화에 대한 가치를 평가하는 데 있어서는 기술가치의 기술거래, 투자 및 융자, 현물출자, 전략수립, 등의 다양한 평가목적에 따라 평가 기한과 프로세스 계획이 수립된다. 기술가치평가의 전체 프로세스는 특정 기술에 대한 기술성, 권리성, 시장성, 사업성 분석 및 평가와 이의 결과를 근거로 한 기술가치의 화폐적 가치산출 모듈로 구성되며, 각 모듈의 분석과 평가 수행에 있어서는 특정 기술에 대한 지식보유자인 전문가들로 이루어진 평가팀을 구성하여 평가가 수행된다. 특정 개별 기술에 대한 평가수행은 하나의 독립된 과제(project)로서 다뤄지며 각 모듈들을 통합하여 관리하는 과제관리자(project manager, PM)에 의해서 관리된다. 기술가치평가의 PM은 평가의 객관성과 신뢰성 확보를 위해서 과제 수행지원과 관리에 있어서의 체계적인 수행에 대한 전문성 확보가 필요하다. 또한 기술가치평가 수행의 특성 상 평가팀은 각각의 모듈별로 상이한 지식을 보유한 전문가들로 이루어진 이해관계자들로 구성되어 있는데 이들 간에 기술과 기술가치평가 전체 절차에 대한 지식공유가 원활하게 진행되기 위해서는 이들의 평가 수행을 지원하고 관리하는 PM의 의사소통 능력과 역할이 중요하다. PM의 역할 중 무엇보다도 서로 상이한 지식으로 과제에 참여하게 되는 평가자들 간, 평가자들과 피평가자들, 기술보유자와 기술이전대상자들 간에 빈번하게 발생되는 갈등에 따른 문제해결 방안을 확보하고 있어야 한다. 본 연구는 기술가치평가 PM들의 기술가치평가 수행 지원에 있어서 다양한 이해관계자들 간에 빈번하게 발생되는 4개의 갈등과 해결사례에 관해서 실제 수행되었던 기술가치평가 사례를 중심으로 살펴보고, PM들의 갈등 해결방안을 모색하고자 한다. 향후, 본 연구를 통해 논의된 갈등사례와 해결방안을 근거로 기술가치평가 과제관리에 있어서 보다 전문적인 PM의 역할과 체계화된 기술가치평가 수행지원 및 관리방안이 마련되는 실증적 근거가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
