How Do Children Interact with Phishing Attacks?

  • Today, phishing attacks represent one of the biggest security threats targeting users of the digital world. They consist of an attempt to steal sensitive information, such as a user's identity or credit and debit card details, using various methods that include fake emails, fake websites, and fake social media messages. Protecting the user's security and privacy therefore becomes complex, especially when those users are children. Currently, children are participating in Internet activity more frequently than ever before. This activity includes, for example, online gaming, communication, and schoolwork. However, children tend to have a less well-developed knowledge of privacy and security concepts, compared to adults. Consequently, they often become victims of cybercrime. In this paper, the effects of security awareness on users who are children are investigated, looking at their ability to detect phishing attacks in social media. In this approach, two Experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of security awareness on WhatsApp application users in their daily communication. The results of the Experiments revealed that phishing awareness training has a significant positive effect on the ability of children using WhatsApp to identify phishing messages and thereby avoid attacks.

의류웹사이트 특성과 충동구매행동의 상관관계에 관한 연구 (The Role of Website Characteristics on Impulse Buying)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 의류판매 온라인 쇼핑몰 상에서의 충동구매행동과 의류판매 사이트의 프로모션, 제품/정책 정보간의 관계를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 인터넷 설문지를 통한 데이터 수집을 통해 236부가 본 연구에 사용되었다. 결과 분석 이전에 웹사이트특성을 분류하기 위해 요인분석을 실한 결과 웹사이트 특성이 프로모션과 제품/정책 정보로 구분되었다. 연구결과 충동구매를 한 집단의 의류판매 사이트의 프로모션과 제품/정책 정보에 대한 평가가 그렇지 않은 집단보다 높게 나타났고 충동구매집단의 충동구매성향과 의류판매 사이트의 프로모션, 제품/정책 정보에 대한 평가는 정적인 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다.

An Evaluation of Academic Institutional Repositories in Ghana

  • This study aims to evaluate some academic institutional repositories (IRs) in Ghana. Data were collected using observation and interview methods by examining the various websites of seven (7) selected academic institutional repositories in Ghana. The findings revealed that the University of Ghana, Legon, leads records count of the seven Institutional Repository (IRs) examined. Dspace was the prioritized software for managing and preserving the digital contents of these IRs. Theses, dissertations and research articles were the leading contents deposited on the IRs. The majority of the IRs have incorporated RSS (Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication) feeds on their IRs with few using other Web 2.0 features. English was the only interface language used on all the IRs. From the interview, the findings revealed that most of the faculty members did not use the IR very often and 9(42.9) also indicated that, they have never deposited their materials on the IR. Faculty members again indicated that, inadequate ICT connectivity and infrastructure, unreliable power supply, Copyrights and intellectual rights, financial constrain, inadequate advocacy and training on the importance of IRs to faculty and users were the major challenges of academic libraries in operating IRs in Ghana.

The Effects of Swiping Orientation on Preference and Willingness to Pay: The Interaction Between Touch Interface and Need-For-Touch

  • The current study examined the influence of individual trait such as Need-For-Touch level (NFT; high vs. low) and swiping orientation (vertical vs. horizontal) on product evaluation and preference when using touch-screen interface like a smart phone and a tablet. Swiping is one of the most common interaction techniques for changing pages or searching some aligned pictures on touch-screen interface and it can be used in vertical and horizontal orientations. The experiment revealed a significant interaction between swiping orientation and NFT on preference, however the interaction on change-in-price of given products was only marginally significant. To be specific, high NFT participants reported higher preference for horizontal-swipe than vertical-swipe products, but such difference did not occur with low NFT participants. The current study illustrates the influence of swiping orientation and NFT on product preference and it provides a new perspective of design principles especially for online shopping websites.

Does need for touch matter in the context of apparel online shopping? - Compensatory role of online aesthetic and instrumental cues -

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the compensatory role of instrumental (e.g., product information) and aesthetic (e.g., website background) online cues presented within apparel websites where touch is unavailable. The moderating role of two need for touch (NFT) dimensions (i.e., autotelic and instrumental NFT) between online cues and consumer responses was also investigated. Results demonstrate that personal differences in autotelic and instrumental NFT moderate the relationship between online cues and affective responses. It was found that consumers high in autotelic NFT (i.e., who need to touch for fun) seek more instrumental cues to compensate for lack of touch when shopping apparel products online. Surprisingly, consumers high in instrumental NFT (i.e., who need to touch for product evaluation) use aesthetic as well as instrumental cues to supplement the absence of touch. In contrast, for the low NFT groups, only aesthetic online cues showed significant effects on consumer arousal. Further analysis shows that instrumental NFT is negatively related to purchase intention while autotelic NFT has a positive effect on purchase intention. This implies that need for hedonic-oriented touch is no longer a barrier for online apparel shopping. However, the instrumental NFT seems a significant obstacle for the adoption of online apparel purchasing.

Analyzing Tesla's International Business Strategies: A Closer Look at the Korean and Chinese Markets

  • Purpose: Taking Tesla Motors as a case study object, this research aims to summarize the management strategy of Tesla Motors through an evaluation of its business models in Korea and China then helps other new energy automobile enterprises in formulating strategic directions in a targeted manner. Research design, data and methodology: Using the case study method, this study conducts in-depth research on the business model of Tesla, a representative enterprise of the new energy automobile industry. This study mainly uses secondary data obtained from the official websites to support our research. Results: With its top-level innovative technology, distinctive marketing model, and extensive strategic model, Tesla holds the largest share of the new energy vehicle market. Local market brands such as BYD and Hyundai-Kia still have a considerable competitive advantage, and there is a need to learn from each other for further development. Conclusions: To adapt to the needs of economic transformation and environmental development, implementing business strategies related to new energy automobile enterprises is a topic worthy of study. Enterprises such as BYD and Hyundai-Kia have unique advantages in their home markets. However, as sustainable development progresses, these advantages will gradually weaken, and further measures are necessary to maintain their competitive advantage.

Using Machine Learning Technique for Analytical Customer Loyalty

  • To enhance customer satisfaction for higher profits, an e-commerce sector can establish a continuous relationship and acquire new customers. Utilize machine-learning models to analyse their customer's behavioural evidence to produce their competitive advantage to the e-commerce platform by helping to improve overall satisfaction. These models will forecast customers who will churn and churn causes. Forecasts are used to build unique business strategies and services offers. This work is intended to develop a machine-learning model that can accurately forecast retainable customers of the entire e-commerce customer data. Developing predictive models classifying different imbalanced data effectively is a major challenge in collected data and machine learning algorithms. Build a machine learning model for solving class imbalance and forecast customers. The satisfaction accuracy is used for this research as evaluation metrics. This paper aims to enable to evaluate the use of different machine learning models utilized to forecast satisfaction. For this research paper are selected three analytical methods come from various classifications of learning. Classifier Selection, the efficiency of various classifiers like Random Forest, Logistic Regression, SVM, and Gradient Boosting Algorithm. Models have been used for a dataset of 8000 records of e-commerce websites and apps. Results indicate the best accuracy in determining satisfaction class with both gradient-boosting algorithm classifications. The results showed maximum accuracy compared to other algorithms, including Gradient Boosting Algorithm, Support Vector Machine Algorithm, Random Forest Algorithm, and logistic regression Algorithm. The best model developed for this paper to forecast satisfaction customers and accuracy achieve 88 %.

의료기관 웹 사이트에 대한 사용성 평가 (Usability Evaluation for Medical Institutions Websites)

  • 웹 사용성(Web usability)은 웹 사이트 이용자가 원하는 목표를 보다 쉽게 달성하도록 시스템을 설계하는 것으로 이용의 편이성을 말한다. 본 연구에서는 국내 의료기관 웹 사이트를 대상으로 사용성 평가를 실시하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 의료기관을 종합병원, 대학병원, 일반병원 3개의 그룹으로 나누고 각 그룹에서 4개씩 총 12개 병원을 선정하여 평가하였으며, 사용성 평가를 위해 평가 전설문지, 태스크 수행 평가, 평가 후 설문지 그리고 평가자 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 설문지 결과와 인터뷰 결과를 볼 때, 대다수의 병원들이 예약과 취소, 정보검색 등 웹 서비스 제공에 노력을 기울이고 있지만 실제 사용자는 병원의 주요 서비스를 이용하는데 있어서 편리하다고 느끼지 않는 것으로 조사되었다. 태스크 수행 평가 결과를 살펴보면, 대학병원은 다른 그룹과 비교해 볼 때 비교적 사용성을 고려하여 잘 설계되었으나 서비스 절차의 단순화 작업이 필요하다고 판단되며, 일반병원의 경우 태스크 수행과 관련된 서비스 자체가 제공되지 않거나 체계적이지 못한 경우가 있어 개선이 필요하였다.

침해된 웹 SSO 계정 보호를 위한 보안 조치 실험 연구 (Measurement of Remediation for Compromised User Account of Web Single Sign-On (SSO))

  • 계정 통합 시스템(SSO)은 다수의 웹사이트 계정 비밀번호를 통합 관리하기 때문에 높은 보안이 요구된다. 계정 통합 시스템을 이용하는 사용자는 웹사이트 로그인 시 주인증기관(IdP)을 통해 인증된다. 본 논문에서는 주인증기관 계정이 탈취된 사용자의 피해를 최소화하기 위하여 주인증기관이 취할 수 있는 보안 요구사항을 제시한다. 이를 만족하지 않을 시 발생하는 보안 위협을 설명한다. 실험을 통해 주인증기관이 보안 요구사항을 만족하지 않으면 사용자가 공격을 인지하더라도 공격자의 세션을 취소시킬 수 없음을 증명한다.

대학 학과홈페이지의 평가요소에 대한 상대적 중요도 분석 -부산지역 수험생들의 인식을 중심으로- (Relative Importance and Priority of Evaluation Elements in University Department Homepage Selection Process -with Special Reference to College Prep Students in Busan-)

  • 본 연구는 대학 홈페이지의 성공적 관리 및 운영이 대학의 브랜딩 효과를 초래한다는 점에 착목하여 기존의 대학 홈페이지 평가요소들의 문제점을 인식하고 새로운 평가모형을 도출한 후 각 단계별 평가요소에 대한 중요도 및 우선순위를 파악하고자 하였다. 특히 본 연구는 의사결정 방법론 중 계층분석과정(AHP)을 활용함으로써 학과 홈페이지 평가요소에 대한 중요도의 객관성을 높이고자 하였다. 분석결과, 29개의 학과 홈페이지 평가요소 중 모바일 서비스, 교과과정의 구성현황 및 교과목의 설명, 학과특성을 나타내는 전문적인 교육내용, 홈페이지 이용안내 및 사이트맵 접근의 용이성, 학과의 차별화된 교육방식 등의 요소는 비교적 중요도가 높게 나타난 반면, 학과특성에 적합한 슬로건, 학과의 차별화된 이미지 및 아이덴티티, 학과 SNS와의 연동, Q&A게시판 제공, 커뮤니티 활발한 운영, FAQ기능의 제공 등의 항목은 상대적 중요도가 낮게 나타났다. 본 연구는 이상의 연구결과를 바탕으로 대학 학과홈페이지의 성공적 관리 및 운영을 위한 기본적 토대를 제시했을 뿐 아니라, 학과홈페이지의 활성화를 위한 몇 가지 시사점을 제시하였다.
