간호사가 인지하는 간호관리자의 윤리적 리더십 측정 도구 K-ELW의 타당화 연구 (A Validation Study of the Modified Korean Version of Ethical Leadership at Work Questionnaire (K-ELW))

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to validate the Korean version of the Ethical Leadership at Work questionnaire (K-ELW) that measures RNs' perceived ethical leadership of their nurse managers. Methods: The strong validation process suggested by Benson (1998), including translation and cultural adaptation stage, structural stage, and external stage, was used. Participants were 241 RNs who reported their perceived ethical leadership using both the pre-version of K-ELW and a previously known Ethical Leadership Scale, and interactional justice of their managers, as well as their own demographics, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. Data analyses included descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, reliability coefficients, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis. SPSS 19.0 and Amos 18.0 versions were used. Results: A modified K-ELW was developed from construct validity evidence and included 31 items in 7 domains: People orientation, task responsibility fairness, relationship fairness, power sharing, concern for sustainability, ethical guidance, and integrity. Convergent validity, discriminant validity, and concurrent validity were supported according to the correlation coefficients of the 7 domains with other measures. Conclusion: The results of this study provide preliminary evidence that the modified K-ELW can be adopted in Korean nursing organizations, and reliable and valid ethical leadership scores can be expected.

간호대학생의 한국어판 윤리적 민감성 측정도구 타당도와 신뢰도 (Validity and Reliability of the Korean Version of the Ethical Sensitivity Questionnaire for Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Korean version of the Ethical Sensitivity Questionnaire for Nursing Students (KESQ-NS). Methods: The participants were 138 nursing students who have experience in clinical practice. The Korean version of ESQ-NS (KESQ-NS) was examined using content validity, construct validity, criterion-related validity, and testing of internal consistency reliability. Data were collected from November to December of 2019 through an online-survey. Results: The KESQ-NS that was composed of 13 items was divided into three dimensions: Critical understanding of the patient, patient holistic care, patient privacy, and confidentiality. The instrument explained 67.9% of the total variance for ethical sensitivity. Cronbach's α was .88. Conclusion: The KESQ-NS showed good validity and reliability. This instrument can be used to evaluate ethical sensitivity in nursing students in Korea.

국내 한의학 관련 학술지에 게재된 전향적 임상연구의 윤리적 측면 분석 (Analysis on The Status of Prospective Clinical Researches Related to Korean Oriental Medicine and their Ethical Aspects)

  • In this research, the status of prospective clinical researches related to Korean Oriental Medicine was identified from the papers published in domestic Korean medicine journals for the past 10 years, and the ethical validity of them were evaluated. Selection of researches and assessment on the ethical validity were made from the evaluation of two independent persons and the adjustment of the third party, and the collected data was analyzed using SPSS 17.0 software. The yearly status of prospective clinical researches related to Korean oriental medicine showed that the average number of them, which was six before 2005, was decreased to only one in 2006, and it started to recover gradually after 2007. The result of ethical validity test of prospective clinical researches related to oriental medicine showed that 5 researches (12.2%) in "unbiased selection of subjects and recruitment", 15 researches (36.6%) in "informed consent", 10 researches (24.4%) in "ethical considerations for vulnerable subjects", and 8 researches (19.5%) in "pre-deliberation and ethical oversight of the IRB" were appropriate to the ethical standards. The interest for clinical researches has been increased, and the ethical aspect of the clinical researches has been emphasized in oriental medicine. The results reported here are expected to provide a help to perform an ethical oriental medicine related clinical researches.

CISG의 이행장애에 대한 윤리적 기준의 적용 가능성 검토 (Can We Apply Ethical Standards to the CISG Impediment?)

  • Ethical issues in international trade will first need to be resolved through applicable public methods. However, considering that there is a party who produced and manufactured the goods, that is, a seller, and a buyer who purchased the goods, the area of the public law is now a matter of private law. Since the CISG does not mention the term 'ethics' in the full text, an ethical consideration is needed to interpret using existing provisions. In addition, a review of the validity, explicit and implied conditions, trade usages, or established practices between the parties through the CISG shows that ethical issues between the trading parties subject to the CISG may constitute part of the sales contract. Ethical hardship in the process of implementing the contract can also be seen as a impediment in the CISG. However, the safe way for a party to avoid disputes is to explicitly insert a contract clause incorporating ethical standards in the contract or add related terms and conditions and codes of ethics.

간호사의 윤리적 가치관에 관한 연구 (A study of the Ethical Values of Korean Nurses)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify whether ethical values of korean nurses are deontological or utilitarian. Nurse's ethical value questionnaire was developed from review of literature and interview of nurses in the clinical settings. Content validity was tested from three nursing faculties and staffs. Ethical problems are categorized into four areas : 1) human life area 2) nurse-patient relationship area 3) nurse - nursing task relationship area 4) nurse-collegue relationship area The data were obtained from the 404 nurses in the clinical settings from Feb. to Mar. in 1990 by ethical value questionnaire. The analysis of data was done by Pearson's correlation coefficient, t-test, anova. The results of this study were as follows : 1. The ethical values of human life slightly took up the position of utilitarian. 2. The ethical values of nurse - patient relationships slightly took up deontological position. 3. The ethical values of nurse - nursing task relationships slightly took up deontological position. 4. The ethical values of nurse - colleague relationships greatly took up deontological position. 5. The ethics of nurses related to demographic characteristics of religion, attitude of nursing, ethical standards, education level and post. Those who have religion took up more deontological position than those who have not. Those who have positive attitude of nursing and firm ethical standards took up more deontological position than those who have not. Those who have higher education level and post took up more deontological position than those who have not.

An Exploratory Study of Research Ethics Training and Ethical Validity

  • Purpose: The effectiveness of research ethics education in enabling researchers to think and judge ethically in conducting research. It is a fundamental solution for the establishment of research ethics in the research field, not only for current researchers but also for the next generation. It measured various variables related to ethics that can lead to ethical behavior through a quasi-experimental design to support the reliability of the study. Research Design, data and methodology: Examine prior research on research ethics and explore current research ethics education and practice. It aims to study how to effectively implement and validate specific aspects of research ethics. To investigate, study, and validate research ethics education and research ethics systems. Results: It is defined as the effectiveness or value of training as measured by changes in knowledge and behavior in reaction, learning, behavior, and outcome evaluations measured after learning. Conclusions: For the effectiveness of research ethics education, various support measures need to be mobilized for the spread and establishment of research ethics education. Formalized and continuous research ethics education is needed. It is important that the knowledge acquired through long-term and consistent research ethics training is transferred to ethical behavior in the research field.

대형 유통업체 윤리적 리더십의 선행변수에 관한 연구 : 할인점과 공급업체 간 관계를 중심으로 (A Study on Antecedents of Ethical Leadership of Power Retailers, : Focusing on the Relationship between Discount Stores and Their Suppliers)

  • 본 연구는 최근 인사조직 분야에서 집중적인 조명을 받고 있는 윤리적 리더십을 유통경로 연구에 적용함으로써, 그 동안 그 중요성에 비해 덜 조명되었던 유통경로 내 조직 간 리더십에 대한 이해를 증진시키고자 한다. 특히, 본 연구는 비교적 최근 밝혀지기 시작한 윤리적 리더십의 선행변수에 초점을 맞춤으로 유통경로의 구성원 간 관계에서 윤리적 리더십이 형성되기 위해서는 어떻게 해야 하는 지를 규명하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 조직의 성격특성과 관계유지전략이라는 두 가지 이론적 차원의 변수들과 실무자들과의 심층면접을 통해 중요하게 언급된 공급업체 관리활동 변수들을 실증하였다. 국내 6대 할인점에 상품을 공급하는 공급업체 295개 사의 납품 담당자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, PLS(Partial Least Square) 구조모형 분석을 통해 분석한 결과, 대형 할인점의 조직특성 중 양심이, 관계유지 전략 중 개방전략, 갈등관리전략, 사회망전략이, 공급업체 관리활동 중 교육훈련과 공정한 보상이 대형 할인점의 윤리적 리더십을 강화하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 대형 할인점의 정서적 불안정은 윤리적 리더십을 약화시켰고, 친절성과 보장전략, 조직간 커뮤니케이션은 윤리적 리더십에 유의적인 영향을 미치지 않았다.

소비자의 이타주의적 가치관과 자기중심적 가치관이 사회적 책임의식과 윤리적 패션제품에 대한 프리미엄 가격 지불의도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Consumers' Altruistic and Egocentric Values on Social Responsibility and Willingness-to-pay a Price Premium for Ethical Fashion Products)

  • The fashion industry is accountable for labor and environment-related issues. With such issues raised, consumers' social responsibility for environmental and labor issues has become an important factor that shapes the perception of companies. This study investigates the relationship between consumer values, concerns regarding social issues, and willingness to pay a premium for ethical fashion products. This study included two exogenous variables of altruistic value and egocentric value. In the conceptual model, consumers' social responsibility was conceptualized as two constructs of environmental consciousness and labor-issue consciousness. It was then analyzed as mediating variables. Willingness to pay a premium for ethical fashion products was the endogenous variable. Data was collected and analyzed with PLS-SEM from 600 consumers. The assessment of discriminant validity and construct validity using CFA were conducted before analyzing the model. Structural equation modeling results revealed that altruistic value directly influenced environmental consciousness and labor-issue consciousness. However, egocentric value was directly and significantly influenced only by labor-issue consciousness. Both environmental and labor issue consciousness directly influenced customers' willingness to pay a premium, but did not significantly change their willingness to pay a premium. Two-stage serial mediation analysis results indicated that the constructs did not have a significant mediation effect on the exogenous variables (altruistic value and egocentric value) and the endogenous variable (willingness to pay a premium) for ethical fashion products. This study found the influence of consumer's personal values on their willingness to pay a higher price for ethical fashion products.

Ethical Issues in Business Marketing Researches

  • Purpose: Various ethical issues arise in different stages of management and business marketing research. The current study aims to take look at practices that ensure informed consent, privacy and confidentiality, deception, and legal aspect in data management in procedures involved in marketing research. Research design, data and methodology: Literature content analysis was conducted for this research and the current author has investigated journal articles mostly to guarantee a high degree of content validity and to keep the advantages of qualitative content approach. The current study explores manifest topics regarding the ethical issues of business marketing research. Results: The current study found that ethical consideration needs to be similarly significant and learning from the previous researchers' approach to handling this issue is helpful for future research and is essential to have additional guidelines. Also, four findings (Lack of Informed Consent, Deception, Invasion of Privacy and Confidentiality, and Legal Data Management) indicate that marketing researchers need to consider before undertaking any project. Conclusions: Overall, the study presents practical suggestions though unexhausted. By raising these ethical marketing issues, consumer behavior disciplines will continue to expand and contribute positively towards attaining thoughts, feelings, and decisions that positively contribute to marketing research as the foundation for effective marking practices.

윤리문화적 리더십 모형에관한탐색적연구 - 세종대왕 리더십 사례를중심으로- (An Exploratory Study on Ethical Culture Leadership - Focused on the Case of King Sejong' Leadership -)

  • 본 연구는 리더십을 공동체적 삶의 보편적 원리에 기초한 윤리문화적현상으로파악하고, 리더십의 관계와 과정, 기술에 내포된 윤리문화적 메카니즘을식별하고해석, 검증한 것으로서 유효성과 실증적 방법에 기초한 기존의 접근방법과는구별된다. 주요 내용은, 첫째, '윤리문화'의 개념 정립과 리더십의 윤리문화적접근방법의설정이다. 윤리문화는 구성원에 의해 공유될 수 있는 가치에 대한 사고와행동의기준으로서, 윤리적 이상의 당위와 실제의 문화적 가치의 균형적 조화와윤리적실천으로 구현된다. 이러한 윤리문화의 사고와 행동체계를 리더십에적용하여리더십의 구조와 기능을 근본적으로 파악하고자 한다. 둘째, 윤리문화적리더십모형구축이다. 리더십의 관계, 과정, 기술에 있어서 윤리적 이상의 당위와실제의문화적 가치의 균형적 조화와 윤리적 실천을 통해 갈등극복, 문제해결, 동기부여의리더십 기능을 올바르게 수행함으로써 개인목표와 함께 공동목표를 달성하는진정한영향력을 도출하려는 것이다. 셋째, 세종대왕 리더십 사례 분석이다. 세종대왕리더십은 대의와 위민과 덕화를 리더십의 윤리적 이상의 당위로 삼고, 안정과치민과 교화를 실제의 문화적 가치로 삼아 균형적 조화와 윤리적 실천이라는윤리문화적 사고와 행동체계를 리더십의 관계와 과정과 기술에 적용하였다. 이러한리더십을 통해 갈등을 극복하고 문제를 해결하며 동기를 유발시켜 신료들로하여금국가의 일을 자기의 책임으로 생각하고 변화와 창조에 자발적이고 헌신적으로행동하는 진정한 영향력을 이끌어냄으로써 민족 정체성을 확립하고 문화적기틀을구축하였다. 세종대왕의 리더십은 윤리문화적 리더십 모형이 잘 구현된리더십사례라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해 현대사회에서 요구되는 리더십은 공동체적 삶의보편적원리인도덕과 윤리를 기본바탕으로 삼아야 하며, 윤리적 이상의 당위와 실제의문화적가치를 균형적으로 조화시키고 윤리적으로 실천하는 리더의 덕을 잘 발휘하여진정한영향력을 이끌어 낼 수 있어야 한다는 점이다. 본 연구에서 제시한 윤리문화적리더십은 현대 리더십의 적실성과 실천성의 문제를 해결하는 하나의 대안이될수있다.
