The Effect of Ethical Leadership and Job Autonomy on Proactive Administration : The Moderating Effect of Ethical Climate (윤리적 리더십과 직무 자율성이 적극행정에 미치는 영향 : 윤리풍토의 조절효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to derive theoretical and policy implications by specifying the meaning of proactive administration through the review of theories related to previous studies and analyzing the effect of ethical leadership and job autonomy on proactive administration. To verify the hypotheses, an analysis was conducted on 275 surveys after a pilot-test. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the ethical leadership and job autonomy had a significant influence on proactive administration. This suggests that the higher ethical attributes of the leader, the higher the job autonomy of the person in charge when performing the works, the higher the possibility of proactive administration proactive administration being realized. In addition, it was found that the ethical climate had a moderating effect between job autonomy and proactive administration, but the moderating effect did not appear between ethical leadership and proactive administration. This result means that if the ethical climate is high, it is highly likely to positively accept autonomous actions for works, which can have a greater influence on proactive administration. However, although it did not have a moderating effect, each variable of ethical leadership and ethical climate had a significant influence on proactive administration, confirming that proactive administration has a significant relationship with ethical aspects within the organization.

  • This study is to identify that the efforts of business ethics build customer loyalty, and it makes customers lead to purchase behavior in the viewpoint of grasping convergence effect. The survey has proved that ethical management influences consumers' purchase behaviors, and consumers' image perception and trust on corporate play parameter role in that process. This results imply that corporate's ethical management gives increase in revenue and reputation to corporate. So managers must recognize business goes on when the social legitimacy is approved by the public, and make efforts to arrange systems and programs to foster ethical management. In the future study, it is required that an analysis to differentiate target range and level of implementation of ethical management and research associated with ethical issue of high public interest.

The moderating roles of employees' self-efficacy and trust in leader on the relationship between ethical leadership and employees' behaviors (윤리적 리더십과 종업원의 행동 간의 관계-종업원의 자기효능감과 리더에 대한 신뢰의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of ethical leadership on employees' behaviors (deviant behavior and personal initiative) and to explore the moderating roles of self-efficacy and trust in leader in the relationship between ethical leadership and employees' behaviors. This study developed four hypotheses and tested them using regression and hierarchical regression analyses. The results showed that the negative relationship between ethical leadership and deviant behavior and the positive relationship between ethical leadership and personal initiative were statistically supported. And this study found that self-efficacy and trust in leader played moderating roles in the relationship between ethical leadership and employees' behaviors. Based on the findings of the study, this study presented managerial implications and suggestions for future studies.

  • The two main purposes of this study were to investigate the influence of ethical leadership on employees' behaviors in terms of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and in role behavior and to explore the mediating role of psychological ownership in the relationship between ethical leadership and employees' behaviors (OCB and in role behavior). To achieve these two research purpose of this study, this study employed two research methods: literature review and empirical testing of the developed hypotheses. The results showed that there was a positive and statistically significant relationship between ethical leadership and employees' behaviors (OCB and in role behavior), and psychological ownership played as a moderator in the relationship between ethical leadership and employees' behaviors. Based on the findings, this study discussed practical implications and suggested future research directions.

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the unethical information sharing by information asymmetry. I will confirm the effect of ethical dilemma, unethical intention and behavior by the information asymmetry. A research method used the structural equations. The analysis showed causal relationship that ethical dilemma and unethical intention and behaviors by the information sharing. In particular, The ethical dilemma by position level showed different from the factor between dilemma and intention. As a result, the organization should manage differently ethical issue according to position level. The contribution in this study has expended an interpretation scope of broken windows theory from social science and explained a discriminative management of the ethical dilemma by position level from the practical view. A Future study should investigate an unethical behavior reduce by information security systems.

The Effect of Customer Orientation on Customer Loyalty and Organizational loyalty Mediated by Ethical and Discretionary Responsibility (고객지향성이 윤리적 책임과 재량적 책임을 매개로 고객충성도와 조직충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study seeks to examine the effect of customer orientation on customer loyalty and employee loyalty mediated by two dimensions of corporate social responsibility (CSR), discretionary and ethical dimensions. This study examined the effects of customer orientation on discretionary responsibility and ethical responsibility. Additionally, it examined the effect of discretionary responsibility and ethical responsibility on customer loyalty and organizational loyalty. In order to verify the hypothesis, we surveyed the employees of large companies and analyzed 239 valid data. First, customer orientation has a significant positive impact on discretionary responsibility. Second, customer orientation has a significant positive impact on ethical responsibility. Third, discretionary responsibility has a significant positive impact on customer loyalty. Fourth, discretionary responsibility has a significant positive impact on organizational loyalty. However, ethical responsibility does not predict customer loyalty and organizational loyalty. Theoretical and practical implications of the results of this study, limitations and directions for future research are discussed.

The Effect of Subjective Happiness, Ethical Sensitivity, Empathy Ability on Personality in Nursing Students (간호대학생의 주관적 행복감, 윤리적 민감성, 공감 능력이 인성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is a descriptive research study conducted to identify factors affecting personality by examining subjective happiness, ethical sensitivity, empathy ability, and personality of nursing students. The study subjects were 165 students enrolled in the Department of Nursing in Gyeonggi-do, and data collection was conducted through an online survey from September 9 to October 18, 2020. The average of subjective happiness, ethical sensitivity, empathy ability, and happiness of nursing students is 5.11±1.03 points, 4.33±.38 points, 3.83±.42 points, and 4.09±.39 points. Personality positively correlated with subjective happiness, ethical sensitivity, and empathy ability. The significant factors influencing personality were major satisfaction, subjective happiness, ethical sensitivity, which explained 52.8% of the variance in nursing students' personality. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop an educational program that considers ethical sensitivity, subjective happiness, and major satisfaction with high explanatory power for personality.

Overcoming Ethical Conflicts and Dilemmas in Farm Animal Welfare: Investigation of Correlation between Ethical Awareness Level and Compliance with Animal Welfare-Related Regulations in Korean Layer Farms (축산농장 동물복지의 윤리적 갈등과 딜레마 극복: 국내 산란계 농장에서의 윤리의식 수준에 따른 동물복지 관련법규 준수여부 상관관계 조사)

  • Animal welfare was introduced relatively late to Korea in comparison with Western countries. Nonetheless, the Korean government has continuously improved animal welfare-friendly regulations as policy instruments. Given the current situation, it is predicted that spontaneous settlement of the animal welfare policies will be difficult and may cause conflict in the farm animal industry. To identify and categorize conflicts caused by animal-welfare-related policies in the last five years, we investigated the awareness of animal welfare among Korean hen farms and the level of compliance with the animal welfare regulations. We collected a sample of 53 egg-laying chicken farm operators (e.g., owners or head managers) was collected through the on-site survey (90% confidence level (Z-score: 1.65) and 10.18% tolerance, based on a number of 797 egg-laying farms in 2020). Ethical conflicts on the farms were categorized into three different types according to the hen farm's ethical awareness level: passive, moderate, and active. Additionally, we investigated the correlation between compliance with regulations and ethical consideration. This study confirmed that compliance with animal welfare-related regulations significantly correlated to the level of ethical consideration of farm operators. Interestingly, we also observed that farm operators did not comply with the regulation despite their high level of awareness of animal welfare. This conflict implies contradiction and unresolved ethical dilemmas. Therefore, this study argues that the policies cause conflict in the field despite the certain level of effectiveness on animal welfare regulations.

  • During the last decade, genomic cohort study has been developed in many countries by linking health data and genetic data in stored samples. Genomic cohort study is expected to find key genetic components that contribute to common diseases, thereby promising great advance in genome medicine. While many countries endeavor to build biobank systems, biobank-based genome research has raised important ethical concerns including genetic privacy, confidentiality, discrimination, and informed consent. Informed consent for biobank poses an important question: whether true informed consent is possible in population-based genomic cohort research where the nature of future studies is unforeseeable when consent is obtained. Due to the sensitive character of genetic information, protecting privacy and keeping confidentiality become important topics. To minimize ethical problems and achieve scientific goals to its maximum degree, each country strives to build population-based genomic cohort research project, by organizing public consultation, trying public and expert consensus in research, and providing safeguards to protect privacy and confidentiality.

  • This is a study of small & venture business ethical management on finance performance. We cheesed 200 venture company or pre-venture company and surveyed. The indexes of ethical management consisted of CEO's intend fur ethical management, fairness, That is developed by The Institute for Industrial Policy Studies and used to assess big business company. The dependent variable is fiscal net profit. We analyzed the correlation and regression. The finding is that the fairness is the major factor.
