  • This paper presents a method of enhancing the accuracy of hybrid modelling that predicts dynamic characteristics of the coupled structure by synthesizing after FE analysis and vibration experimental analysis of the relevant individual substructure. Since most FE models in engineering problems are very large, dynamic analysis with the full FE model is costly. Frequency response function(FRF) synthesis after reducing the FE model can reduce this computational cost but introduce mode truncation error similarly in the case of considering only low-frequency mode after eigensolutions of the complete structure. This paper introduces a FRF of FE model for hybrid FRF synthesis, which is reduced by using IIRS methods and compensated through eigensolutions of the reduced model, and shows the effectiveness of the presented method.

최적 연료주입 모델 추종형 ${\mu}-$합성 제어기의 설계에 관한 연구 (A study of design on model following ${\mu}-$synthesis controller for optimal fuel-injection)

  • In this paper, we design an optimal model following ${\mu}-$synthesis control system for fuel-injection of diesel engine which has robust performance and satisfactory command tracking performance in spite of uncertainties of the system. To do this, we give gain and dynamics parameters to the weighting functions and apply genetic algorithm with reference model to the optimal determination of the weighting functions that are given by the D-K iteration method which can design ${\mu}-$synthesis controller in the state space. These weighting functions are optimized simultaneously in the search domain which guarantees the robust performance of the system. The ${\mu}-$synthesis control system for fuel-injection designed by the above method has not only the robust performance but also a better command tracking performance than those of the ${\mu}-$synthesis control system designed by trial-and-error method. The effectiveness of this ${\mu}-$synthesis control system for fuel-injection is verified by computer simulation.

Decision-Tree-Based Markov Model for Phrase Break Prediction

  • In this paper, a decision-tree-based Markov model for phrase break prediction is proposed. The model takes advantage of the non-homogeneous-features-based classification ability of decision tree and temporal break sequence modeling based on the Markov process. For this experiment, a text corpus tagged with parts-of-speech and three break strength levels is prepared and evaluated. The complex feature set, textual conditions, and prior knowledge are utilized; and chunking rules are applied to the search results. The proposed model shows an error reduction rate of about 11.6% compared to the conventional classification model.

Floating-Poing Quantization Error Analysis in Subband Codes System

  • The very purpose of subband codec is the attainment of data rate compression through the use of quantizer and optimum bit allocation for each decimated signal. Yet the question of floating-point quantization effects in subband codec has received scant attention. There has been no direct focus on the analysis of quantization errors, nor on design with quantization errors embedded explicitly in the criterion. This paper provides a rigorous theory for the modelling, analysis and optimum design of the general M-band subband codec in the presence of the floating-point quantization noise. The floating-point quantizers are embedded into the codec structure by its equivalent multiplicative noise model. We then decompose the analysis and synthesis subband filter banks of the codec into the polyphase form and construct an equivalent time-invariant structure to compute exact expression for the mean square quantization error in the reconstructed an equivalent time-invariant structure to compute exact expression for the mean square quantization error in the reconstructed output. The optimum design criteria of the subband codec is given to the design of the analysis/synthesis filter bank and the floating-point quantizer to minimize the output mean square error. Specific optimum design examples are developed with two types of filter of filter banks-orthonormal and biorthogonal filter bank, along with their perpormance analysis.

  • 본 논문은 주파수영역에서 첨두공진점을 갖는 고차모델을 저차모델로 근사화하기 위한 주파수 전달함수 합성법을 제안한다. 제안된 근사화 방법은 근사화된 모델의 분모 다항식에 가중된 오차함수의 최소화에 근거하며, 근사화된 모델의 주파수 전달함수에 대한 계수벡터를 추정하기 위해 RLS 기법을 이용한다. 제안된 방법은 저주파수와 첨두공진점에서 우수한 정합특성을 나타내며, 예제에 의해 제안된 방식의 유용성을 검증한다.

  • The gear whine noise of vehicle transmission is directly correlated tilth the gear transmission error of mating gear The object of this study is to build up the synthesized countermeasure for the reduction of gear whine noire of vehicle transmission by developing the program which can be used to analyze and predict the vibrational characteristics caused by gear transmission error of mating gears of vehicle transmission. The developed mathematical models on the elements of transmission, for example, helical gear pairs, bearings and shafts are used and the modeling of the excitation forces are developed by the gear transmission error of mating gear which is defined by the amount of the elastic deformation of gear tooth & shaft and gear profile & lead errors. The mathematical system model of vehicle transmission developed by the substructure synthesis method Is also verified by the experiments.

정현파 크기로 가중치 된 위상 오류 함수를 사용한 음성의 중첩합산 정현파 합성 방법 (Overlap and Add Sinusoidal Synthesis Method of Speech Signal using Amplitude-weighted Phase Error Function)

  • 본 논문에서는 음성신호의 정현파 합성방법 중 하나인 선형위상을 사용한 중첩합산방법에 대하여 합성응성의 연속성을 개선시킨 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 중첩합산 정현파 합성방법은 프레임의 중간 지점에 대한 위상 값을 예측하기 위해 합성 파형의 경계면에 대한 위상 차이를 최소화하는 방법을 사용하였으나, 제안된 방법은 중간지점의 위상만이 아닌 최종 합성된 신호들 간의 차이를 최소화하는 방법을 사용한다. 이러한 합성신호의 오차 함수를 최소화하는 과정은 정현파 크기 값을 가중치로 사용한 위상오차 함수로 근사화 될 수 있다. 제안된 합성 방법의 연속성에 대한 성능을 검증하기 위해 합성신호의 전 구간에 대한 합성 신호들 간의 평균 오차 값 및 청취자 테스트를 하였다. 기존의 위상 오차함수와 비교하여 개선된 연속성 성능을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • As the requirement of LCD products which are large screen and have high brightness increases, the role of light guide panel (LGP) of which micro-features diffuse the light uniformly on surface is getting important. In general, there are many errors in machining like machine tool errors process error, setup error and etc. The amount of setup error in general machining is not so big in comparison with the others, so it is mostly neglected. But, especially in v-groove micromachining, setup error has a significant effect on micro-features. Low quality product and high cost are resulted from setup error. In v-groove micromachining, to confirm the effect of setup error, it is identified and then setup error synthesis model is derived from analysis of tool and workpiece setup. In addition, to predict the micro-features affected by setup error and enhance the production efficiency, the setup condition satisfying the tolerance of micro-features is geometrically analyzed and presented.

웨이브릿 변환 및 M-채널 서브밴드 QMF 필터뱅크를 이용한 적응 능동잡음제거 모델 (An Adaptive Active Noise Cancelling Model Using Wavelet Transform and M-channel Subband QMF Filter Banks)

  • 본 논문에서는 적응필터를 기반으로 한 웨이브릿 변환 및 서브밴드 필터뱅크를 사용한 능동잡음제거의 모델을 제안한다. 분해 필터뱅크는 입력 및 오차신호를 저주파 및 고주파영역의 QMF 필터뱅크로 분해하며, 각 필터뱅크 에는 dyadic tree 구조를 갖는 웨이브릿 필터를 사용한다. 분해된 입력 및 오차신호는 filtered-X LMS 알고리듬를 사용하여 각 서브밴드의 적응 필터계수를 새롭게 갱신시킨다. 합성 필터뱅크는 그리고 각 서브밴드의 적응필터 출력신호를 합성한 후 완전복원이 되는 광대역의 출력신호를 만든다. 분해 및 합성 필터뱅크는 완전복원을 위하여 공액직교필터를 사용한다. 또한 오차경로의 전달특성을 온라인 추정하기 위한 지연 LMS 알고리듬 모델은 이득과 시간지연인자만을 사용한다. 따라서 제안한 적응 능동잡음제거 모델은 웨이브릿 서브밴드 필터뱅크를 사용하여 계산량과 수렴속도에 유리한 시스템이 되도록 제시한다.
