Objectives: To explore prevalently used types of medication error and the types of medication error which would be appropriate to be used in Korea. Methods: In depth literature review was performed to explore the mostly used types of medication error in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and Japan. We intended to examine experts' view on the suitability of the types of medication error to be used in Korea. The types of medicati0on error were classified by activity criteria, severity criteria, process criteria, and responsible person criteria based on literature reviews. Results: According to the result of literature review, activity criteria was the most commonly used type of medication error. Ten experts in the area of patient-safety and medication error responded and the top two types of medication error which were appropriate and suitable to be used in Korea were severity criteria and activity criteria. Conclusion: Severity criteria and activity criteria could be recommended to be used as the standard types of medication error in Korea although there are other types of criteria such as process criteria and responsible person criteria.
This paper examines the interpolation algorithms and error criteria using stateline based control architectures that is proposed in the University of British Columbia. The main purpose of this paper is checking the influences of jerk in error criteria and judging several interpolation algorithms that are used for positioning. The performance of the extended error criteria and interpolation algorithm are demonstrated by simulation. It is found that a slight improvement was achieved by applying jerk in the error checking criteria and that spline interpolation yields stable result.

Most context use the classical norms on function spaces as the error criteria. Since these norms are all based on the vertical distances between the curves, these can be quite inappropriate from a visual notion of distance. Visual errors in Marron and Tsybakov(1995) correspond more closely to "what the eye sees". Simulation is performed to compare the performance of the regression smoothers in view of MISE and the visual error. It shows that the visual error can be used as a possible candidate of error criteria in the kernel regression estimation.
This paper proposes new criteria to fix hidden neuron in Multilayer Perceptron Networks for wind speed prediction in renewable energy systems. To fix hidden neurons, 101 various criteria are examined based on the estimated mean squared error. The results show that proposed approach performs better in terms of testing mean squared errors. The convergence analysis is performed for the various proposed criteria. Mean squared error is used as an indicator for fixing neuron in hidden layer. The proposed criteria find solution to fix hidden neuron in neural networks. This approach is effective, accurate with minimal error than other approaches. The significance of increasing the number of hidden neurons in multilayer perceptron network is also analyzed using these criteria. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, simulations were conducted on real time wind data. Simulations infer that with minimum mean squared error the proposed approach can be used for wind speed prediction in renewable energy systems.

Acoustical holography is one of the powerful methods in sound radiation problems. Just measuring hologram data on a plane, one can calculate whole space physical quantities such as pressure, particle velocity, and sound intensity. However, the use of finite and discrete operations introduce significant errors inevitably. This paper reviews error reduction schemes, and introduces error analysis criteria derived from modal analysis. Finally the effect of window functions is investigated by these criteria.

In this study, model simplification problem using singular perturbation technique is considered. The correctness and errors of simplified model which is obtained by the use of this technique, depends upon the order and the time scaling factor of the simplified model But, unfortunately, there is no explicit criteria for selections of these parameters. In this paper, error equations are derived and expanded by using the useful properties of $L_2$-norm. Then, new criteria for selecting the order of the simplified model and time scaling factor with respect to error bound are suggested. Since these criteria, newly proposed in this study, have strong concern about error bound, it can be used to choose the minimum order of the simplified model and time scaling factor with respect to given error bound. Conversely, if the order of the simplified model and time scaling factor are given, the error induced by the simplification can also be computed easily.

Cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) with decision fusion is considered as a key technology for tackling the challenges caused by fading/shadowing effects and noise uncertainty in spectrum sensing in cognitive radio. However, most existing solutions assume an error-free decision transmission, which is obviously not the case in realistic scenarios. This paper extends the general decision-fusion-based CSS scheme by considering the fading/shadowing effects and noise corruption in the common control channels. With this more practical model, the fusion centre first estimates the local decisions using a binary minimum error probability detector, and then combines them to get the final result. Theoretical analysis and simulation of this CSS scheme are performed over typical channels, which suggest some performance deterioration compared with the pure case that assumes an error-free decision transmission. Furthermore, the fusion strategy optimization in the proposed cooperation model is also investigated using the Bayesian criteria. The numerical results show that the total error rate of noisy CSS is higher than that of the pure case, and the optimal values of fusion parameter in the counting rule under both cases decrease as the local detection threshold increases.
Most human-error case of accident database is written by various description and expression because accident database is produced by two or more person. And extracted information by searching of database varies in researcher's judgment criteria and the capability. Furthermore, much time and effort are required to examine manually information related to the human error from each accident case. Accordingly, it is difficult to explore objectively the accidents relevant to the human-error from the accident data base which is accumulated enormously. In this study, to solve these problems, it was developed an searchig method which is not influenced by researcher's judgment criteria and capability. For this, human-error keywords were extracted from a Japanese-English dictionary to examine objectively the accident case related to human-error in data base. This searching method by the human-error keywords can be applicable in most accident databases, although a database will be accumulated in future. Also, using the searching technique of this research, knowledge obtained by searching result can be compared with other research's results by the same method. Although the number of accident case increasese, searching results from database have the objectivity because it is not necessary to modify the based searching method or change the human-error keywords. However, as subject of future investigation, it would be necessary that the extension and investigation on human-error keywords improve and the technique to enhance searching accuracy would be modified.

Seismic responses due to the dynamic coupling between a primary structure and secondary system connected to a structure are analyzed in this study. The seismic responses are compared based on dynamic coupling criteria and according to the error level in the natural frequency, with the recent criteria being reliant on the error level in the spectral displacement response. The acceleration responses and relative displacement responses of a primary structure and a secondary system for a coupled model and two different decoupled models of two degrees-of-freedom system are calculated by means of the time integration method. Errors in seismic responses of the uncoupled models are reduced with the recent criteria. As the natural frequency of the secondary system increases, error in the natural frequency decreases, but seismic responses of uncoupled models can be underestimated compared to that of coupled model. Results in this paper can help determine dynamic coupling and predict uncoupled models' response conservatism.
