  • In high frequency range, RF circuit design without considering shielding effect can cause several significant changes due to increase in parasitic capacitance and inductance between RF signal lines and shielding box. In this paper, bandpass filter has been made to measure the shielding effect and its s-parameter has been measured by Vector Network Analyzer (VNA). Equivalent circuit model including the shielding effect has been constructed with the lumped elements extracted from the 3D electromagnetic simulator, Maxwell SI. Then, the validity of the model is verified using microwave circuit simulator, ADS (Advanced Design System).

  • A new equivalent circuit model of package (SOP, Small Outline Package) is presented for designing radio frequency integrated circuits (RFIC). In the RF region, the paddle of a package does not work as an ideal ground. Further parasitics due to both coupling and loss have a substantial effect on MMIC. The equivalent circuit model and parameter extraction methodology for the electrical characteristics of the package are described by illustrating the SOP type packages. The accuracy of the model is evaluated by comparing the s-parameters of the commercial full-wave solver and those of HSPICE simulation with the circuit model. The proposed model shows an excellent agreement with full-wave analysis up to about 8GHz.

  • In this paper, using equivalent circuit of BLDC motor in the 30W class, process of modeling the BLDC motor and calculating the parameter is shown. Through run-down-test and measuring back EMF, torque, speed and ampere, parameter that transfer function requires was gotten. In this result, for step response of BLDC motor, comparing the actual result obtained by circuit experiment with the simulation result obtained by substituting this parameter into the transfer function, it was established that process calculating parameters in this study is proper.

  • The permanent magnet in hybrid step motor is magnetized to the axial direction. Accordingly the 2D analysis method such as 2D finite element method cannot guarantee the analysis accuracy. In this paper, the characteristics of hybrid type step motor are analyzed by using 3D equivalent magnetic circuit network method(3D EMCNM). 3D EMCNM supplements magnetic equivalent circuit by numerical technique using distributive magnetic circuit parameter and 3D EMCNM is used for the accurate and efficient analysis. The validity of the analysis results is confirmed by comparing with the experimental ones.

  • In this paper, we propose a magnetic resonant WPT(wireless power transfer) scenario using a large coil resonating at 6.78 MHz, and compare the characteristics through a three-dimensional electromagnetic field simulation and a magnetic resonant WPT equivalent circuit. The magnetic resonant WPT equivalent circuit proposed in this paper considers the parasitic capacitance generated between the coils in addition to the conventional equivalent circuit. Based on this analysis, we fabricated the magnetic resonant WPT coil and compared it with simulation prediction. As a result of comparison, the transfer characteristics and the resonance frequency shift can be predicted. Error proposed characteristics of equivalent circuit for the magnetic resonant WPT and the measured values are estimated to be ${\Delta}{\mid}S11{\mid}=1.31dB$ and ${\Delta}{\mid}S21{\mid}=1.21dB$, respectively.

  • This paper suggests the techniques in determining the values of the steady-state equivalent circuit parameters of a three-phase induction machine using genetic algorithm. The parameter estimation procedure is based on the steady-state phase current versus slip and input power versus slip characteristics. The propose estimation algorithm is of non-linear kind based on selection in genetic algorithm. The machine parameters are obtained as the solution of a minimization of objective function by genetic algorithm. Simulation shows good performance of the propose procedures.

  • The coupling coefficient K controls the characteristic behaviors of leakage transformer. The value of coupling coefficient K was obtained from th leakage flux of leakage transformer an ascertained from the variation due to the function of current. Therefore, this paper presented the equivalent circuit of leakage transformer consisting of Thevenin's constant voltage source and inductor as (1-K2)L2 which were proportional to parameter K. The proposed equivalent circuit verified the validity in designing the leakage transformer because it was in good agreements of the behaviors of ideal transformer (K is 1), leakage transformer (K is 0$\leq$K$\leq$1), inductor (K is 0).

  • Common mode (CM) conducted interference are predicted and compared with experiments in a motor drive system of Electric vehicles in this study. The prediction model considers each part as an equivalent circuit model which is represented by lumped parameters and proposes the parameter extraction method. For the modeling of the inverter, a concentrated and equivalent method is used to process synthetically the CM interference source and the stray capacitance. For the parameter extraction in the power line model, a computation method that combines analytical method and finite element method is used. The modeling of the motor is based on measured date of the impedance and vector fitting technique. It is shown that the parasitic currents and interference voltage in the system can be simulated in the different parts of the prediction model in the conducted frequency range (150 kHz-30 MHz). Experiments have successfully confirmed that the approach is effective.

  • An accurate extraction technique is developed to determine full euqivalent circuit parameters of Si MOSFETs using 1 set of measured S-parametes without complicated optimization process. This technique is based on the use of anlytic Z-parameters experessions for resistances and inductances and the Y-parameter ones for ntrinsic parameters. This accuracy is proved over the wide range of gate voltage by observing good agreement between measured and fitted Z-parameter equations and frequency-independent response of the extracted intrinsic parameters. Using this technique, gate voltage-dependencies of model parameters are obained in the saturation region and these results show the similar behavior to the short-channel effects expected from the device theory.

  • Usually, the thrust of a Linear Pulse Motor(LPM) is calculated by magnetic equivalent circuit modelling method. Analytical thrust deviation exists to calculating magnetic flux density by using Permeance Modelling Method, Finite Element Method, and Velocity Electric Motive Force Method. For calculating accuracy thrust by using these every method, the thrust is calculated and compared by Lorentz Force Method, Magnetic Coenergy Method, and Maxwell correspondence force Method. And that becomes important factor at the comparison of each capacity and parameter of motor. So this study wants to compare and analyze measurement data and calculating data of the static thrust of LPM. and then we can get more accuracy method, calculating the static thrust of LPM.
