The purpose of this study is to develop and test the casual brand equity measurement, utilizing Heller 5(2001) ‘CBBE(Customer Based Brand Equity) Model' as a theoretical framework. The research was conducted in three steps from May to November in 2001. In the exploratory step, focus-group interview was conducted 5 times for gathering responses related to fashion equity. In Pilot study, 945 university students were surveyed and the data were analyzed to identify the components of fashion brand equity and to develop questionnaires. In the main research, 696 university students evaluated three brands in order to compare their equity that were formed in customers' perception. Statistical analyses were performed with SAS and LISREL 8.12 program using factor analysis and covariance structural equation model. The results were as follows: First, casual brand equity was defined in terms of six components; customer-brand resonance, customer feeling, customer judgment, brand imagery, brand performance and brand awareness. Second, casual brand equity was multi-dimensional brand attitude, which could be measured by 23 items that were different from previous measurement such as Aaker's ‘Brand Equity Ten' and K-BPI.

Brand image significantly affects both brand loyalty and brand equity.Additionally, brand loyalty significantly influences brand equity.
The term used to describe consumer's valuation of a brand is brand equity. One concept that can be managed and may impact valuation of a prestige brand is "luxuriousness." As the concept of "luxuriousness" appears to be a key factor contributing to the equity of a prestige brand, the purpose of this study was to examine how luxuriousness is related to the brand equity utilizing a model developed by Yoo, Donthu, and Lee (2000). Yoo et al. (2000) identified three dimensions [brand association with awareness (BA), perceived quality (PQ), brand loyalty (BL)] accounted for the equity (OBE) of a brand. We speculated that the five dimensions of luxuriousness (i.e., quality, extended self, hedonism, accessibility, and tradition) would selectively influence the two dimensions of brand equity (BA, PQ) and that loyalty would mediate the relationship between the two dimensions of brand equity (BA, PQ) and overall brand equity. A total of 502 participants aged from 18 to 74 were surveyed in USA. Using AMOS 18, the path analysis was conducted with the maximum-likelihood estimation procedure. The model exhibited a good fit with the data and all hypotheses were supported except one. Quality, accessibility, and hedonism dimensions of luxuriousness affected perceived quality of the equity of a brand. Hedonism and extended self dimensions affected brand association with awareness. However, tradition dimension did not significantly influence brand association with awareness. Overall, this research expands understanding of brand equity as it documents the contributions of luxuriousness, a component that can be controlled by brand managers.

In this research, the survey method was conducted in Seoul and 500 responses were used for analysis. For the data analysis, descriptive statistics (i.e. frequency and percentage), t-test, factor analysis, and multiple-regression analysis were used through the utilization of the SPSS 12.0 program. The results of this study are as follows: First, the distribution of customer equity are found to be 50.8% of the customer equity distributes under 1 million Korean won and 34.8% between 1 million won and 3 million won. Second, the luxury brand dimension consists of 6 factors, 'differentiated brand image', 'personal ties', 'qualitative trust relation', 'rational price value', 'store value', and 'convenience value'. Third, the higher 'differentiated brand image', 'personal ties', 'qualitative trust relation', 'store value', and 'convenience value' were related to a higher customer equity. Fourth, in the case of the consumer group having a long-term relationship, the higher' differentiated brand image', 'personal ties', and 'store value' were related to a higher customer equity. Also, in the case of the consumer group of the traditional luxury brands, the higher 'personal ties', 'differentiated brand image', 'qualitative trust relation', and 'store value' were related to a higher customer equity.
This study aims to extract the multi-channel attributes of Dongdaemun-based fashion brands and consider the effects of these attributes on customer equity, customer satisfaction and re-purchase intention. In total, 493 samples of those who have purchased Dongdaemun-based fashion brand products using multi-channels were collected for the final data analysis, which was performed using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 18.0. The findings of study are as follows. Among the multi-channel attributes of Dongdaemun-based fashion brands, entertainment and informativeness had a significant effect on all customer equity drivers. In terms of the effects of customer equity drivers on customer satisfaction and re-purchase intention, all customer equity drivers significantly influenced customer satisfaction, while brand equity significantly influenced re-purchase intention. Also, customer satisfaction significantly affected re-purchase intention. In the effective relationship between customer equity drivers and CLV, brand equity causes a significant influence on CLV amongst the customer equity drivers. There were significant differences among groups following the multi-channel shopping orientation of consumers. This study is significant for its scientific focus on the distribution channels of Dongdaemun, and in terms of the practical aspect of identifying the multi-channel attributes considered to be important to consumers. Measuring customer equity will suggest implications about the long-term direction of the development of Dongdaemun-based fashion brands.

This paper explores the effects of price discount frequency on consumer evaluation of clothing brand equity as well as the impact on consumers who exhibit different consumer characteristics. Following a preliminary investigation, two clothing brand groups were identified according to the frequency of their price discounts, one with a high frequency of price discounts, the other with a low frequency. Each brand group consisted of three women's clothing brands. A questionnaire was developed and administered to 351 females between the ages of nineteen and thirty-four in October 2000. The questionnaire included questions on evaluations on clothing brand equity (i.e., perceived quality, brand image, perceived value, reliability and brand knowledge), on consumer characteristics (i.e., clothing knowledge, clothing evaluative criteria, price perception and demographic characteristics), as well as on price discount frequency. Statistical tests, such as factor analysis. t-test and pearson's correlation, were used to analyze the data. Results of this research showed that price discount frequency negatively impacted consumer perception of clothing brand equity. The negative influence was particularly strong on the perceived quality and brand image dimensions of brand equity. The findings also suggested the effect of price discount frequency on consumer assessment of clothing brand equity was related to consumer characteristics as well. The equity of the clothing brand group with a low frequency of price discounts was positively related to clothing knowledge, price-quality inference, price-prestige inference, sale prone-ness. price mavenism, valuing the fashionable and symbolic uses of clothing and family income. On the other hand, it was negatively related to low price consciousness. The equity of the clothing brand group with a high frequency of price discounts was positively related to utilitarian economic aspects of clothing values as well as to low price consciousness. To establish and maintain high brand equity, marketers must pay attention to the frequency of price discount as it may have a negative impact on clothing brand equity.
Purpose - Brand equity has emerged as an indispensable marketing tool for firms engaging their business in developing nations. This study proposes that the country of origin image and advertising will affect the Korean brand equity formation, which leads to repurchase intention of Korean brands. In the study, attitude factors are applied in brand equity theory to predict repurchase intention of Korean brands. Cognitive brand equity, such as brand awareness, brand association, brand image and attitudinal brand equity, such as perceived quality and brand loyalty are considered with regards to their attitude towards the Korean brand. Design/methodology - A total of 178 Myanmar consumers out of 200 participants who have used Korean brands answered the survey and data were analyzed through SmartPLS 3.3.2 version. PLS-SEM is considered a more suitable analysis to pin down and evaluate the cause-effect relationship among all of the constructs with relatively complex models. Findings - Our results substantiate that the country of origin image positively affects brand awareness, brand associations, and brand image and advertising awareness positively affects brand awareness. Brand awareness gives positive effect only on brand association, which sustains a positive effect on brand image and brand loyalty. Brand image only has a positive effect on perceived quality, which again affects repurchase intention and brand loyalty. Brand loyalty also shows a positive effect on repurchase intention. Originality/value - Brand equity dimensions were viewed as cognitive and attitudinal outcomes of brand equity which affects repurchase intention. The drivers of brand equity were considered from the perspective of country of origin image that firms cannot control or mange, and advertising awareness which firms can control and manage. The findings also explored the relationships between cognitive and attitudinal brand equity.
Very few studies have been done on Studying Brand credibility and Involvement as a determinant of Brand Equity. Literature on Brand Equity signifies lots of constructs like, Country of Origin, Brand Signaling, and Brand Power act as determinant to Brand Equity. This study tries to formulate relationship between the construct Brand Credibility and Brand Involvement as Antecedents to Brand Equity of Product. Using a Two Step Structural Equation Modelling approach analysis on the data collected on Mobile Phone brands were done. Result signified that Brand Credibility and Brand Involvement had significant influence on Brand Equity of the Product. On the Other hand there was no significant relationship between Brand Credibility and Brand Involvement of the Product.
