키토산 가공에 의한 감성기능소재로서의 텐셀 혼방직물의 염색성 변화 (Changes in the Dyeing Property of Tencel Blended Fabrics as Susceptible Functional Fiber through Chitosan Finishing)

  • 텐셀 혼방직물의 단점을 보완하면서 새로운 관능기를 도입하기 위해서는 캐티온화가 효과적이다. 이를 위해 인체 친화성이 있고 공해를 유발하지 않으며 반응이 용이한 키토산을 처리하였으며, 이에 의한 캐티 온화를 확인하기 위하여 음이온성 염료에 대한 염색성 변화를 살펴보았다. 먼저, 반응성 염료와의 염색성은 낮은 중성염의 농도에서도 키토산 처리 시료의 염색성이 우수하게 나타나 반응성 염료에 대한 염색 효율이 증대되었다. 이는 키토산의 아민기 도입으로 텐셀 혼방직물이 캐터온화되어 섬유에 치환된 친핵성기에 의해 반응성 염료에 대한 친화력이 향상됨으로서 중성이하의 조건에서도 염색성이 우수하게 나타난 것이다. 한편, 키토산 처리로 도입된 아민기의 작용으로 산성 염료와 친화력이 거의 없는 텐셀 혼방직물의 산성 염료에 대한 염색성이 크게 향상되었다. 또한 키토산 처리로 인하여 텐셀 혼방직물은 반응성 염료와의 친화력이 더 좋아졌고, 텐셀 단일직물의 경우 산성 염료와의 친화력이 더 좋아졌으며, 산성 염료보다 반응성 염료로 염색시 세탁견뢰도가 더 우수하였다.

  • 감귤 부산물을 급여하지 않은 제주 재래돼지고기($T_0$)와 육성기와 비육기에 각각 8%와 15% 급여한 돼지고기($T_1$)를 흰쥐의 사료에 단백질로 환산하여 12%되도록 첨가하였다. 이 사료를 생후 17주령의 흰쥐에 4주간 급여하여 영양대사에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 흰쥐의 사료 섭취량, 사료효율 및 체중 증가량은 $T_0$$T_1$사이에 유의적 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 흰쥐의 간, 신장, 비장 및 부고환 등 장기의 무게와 간의 중성지질 및 총 콜레스테롤 함량은 $T_0$$T_1$ 사이에 유의적 차이가 없었다. 혈청의 총지질, 인지질, 중성지질, 총콜레스테롤, 동맥경화지수, 단백질, 혈당, 혈색소, 무기질 함량, 그리고 ${\gamma}$-GTP, ALT, AST 및 ALP 활성은 $T_0$$T_1$이 비슷한 경향이었다. 혈청의 HDL 및 LDL-콜레스테롤 함량은 $T_1$$T_0$에 비하여 증가되는 경향으로 나타났다.

  • 감귤피를 먹이지 않은 개량흑돼지 고기$(T_0)$와 성장기와 비육기에 감귤피를 각각 $6\%$$10\%$ 먹인 개량흑돼지 고기$(T_1)$를 첨가하여 식이를 제조하고 흰쥐에 급여했을 때에, 두식이 사이에 횐쥐의 증체량, 식이섭취량, 식이효율, 장기(간, 신장, 비장, 부고환 지방)무게, 혈청의 지질함량 중 총 지질, 인지질, 중성지질, 총콜레스테롤 및 HDL-콜레스테롤, 간의 총 지질과 중성지질 함량, 그리고 혈청의 단백질, 혈당, 혈색소 함량 및 효소($\gamma-GTP$, ALT, AST, ALP)활성은 모두 유의적 차이를 보이지 않아서 감귤피 첨가 사료를 먹인 돼지고기의 영향이 없었다. 그러나 간의 콜레스테롤 함량과 혈청의 LDL-콜레스테롤 함량은 감귤피 급여구가 유의적으로 낮게 나타나서(p<0.05) 지질대사의 개선 효과를 기대할 수 있었다.

리파제에 의한 양모/폴리에스터 혼방직물의 동시 개질 (Enzymatic Modification of Wool/Polyester Blend Fabrics Using Lipase from Aspergillus Oryzae)

  • This study presents an eco-friendly and one-step finishing method for modifying fiber property that reduces fiber damage in wool/polyester blend fabrics. Lipase from aspergillus oryzae is used in this experiment. The enzymatic treatment condition is optimized by measuring the relative activity of lipase depending on pH level, temperature, concentration of lipase, and treatment time. The concentration of $CaCl_2$as an activator is determined by the characteristics including whiteness, water contact angle (WCA), and dyeing property. The modified properties of lipase treated fabrics are tested for pill resistance and surface morphology. The results are described as follows: the optimum condions for lipase treatment constitute a pH level of 8.0, treatment temperature of 40$^{\circ}$$_C$, concentration of lipase at 100% (o.w.f), and a treatment time of 90 minutes. $CaCl_2$helps in raising lipase activation, and the optimum concentration is 50mM. The whiteness, wet ability, and pill resistance of lipase treated fabrics improves as compared to the control. The dyeing property of lipase treated fabrics improved by 53.5% after using the one-bath dyeing method. This means that lipase treatment can save time and cost during the dyeing process since lipase treatment modifies wool and polyester fibers. The surface of lipase treated wool fibers do not exhibit any change, however voids and cracks manifest on the surface of lipase treated polyester fibers.

중합효소연쇄반응을 이용한 돼지 증식성 장염 진단기법 확립 (Establishment of a diagnostic method for porcine proliferative enteropathy using polymerase chain reaction)

  • Porcine Proliferative Enteropathy(PPE) is an infectious enteric disease and a major cause of economic loss in swine industry due to weight loss, poor growth and sudden death in growing and finishing pigs at 6 to 20 weeks of age. PPE has been diagnosed by clinical signs, syndrom and lesions in the intestine in Korea. However, the diagnostic method had several problems in the detection of infected or carrier pigs. Therefore, in this study, we established the polymerase chain reaction(PCR) which was a fast, specific and sensitive method for identification of Lawsonia intracellularis (L intracellularis). We designed and synthesized primer on the 16S rDNA and p78 gene encoding L intracellularis. Specificity of the method was confirmed by comparison of the PCR results using other enteric bacteria and the study has shown that PCR method was sensitive to detect 1ng of genomic DNA as a template. Identity of the PCR products was confirmed by comparison of pattern of restriction endonuclease analysis with restriction enzyme Hae III and Pst I. Also, the PCR method was applicable to the naturally affected pigs with PPE. Based on the results from this study, the PCR method could be used as a fast and specific diagnostic tool for PPE.

아마섬유 방적사의 품질고급화에 대한 연구(I) -정련방법에 대한 영향- (Study on the Quality Development of Flax Fiber Yarns(I) ―Effects on the Scouring Methods―)

  • To develop a scouring method for the high-grade quality and the high value added of flax for spinning, it was measured and analyzed weight loss and degree of injury with change of scouring concentration, time, temperature and pH. We got the f ollowing results; Firstly, in case that flax was scoured at a fixed condition, the weight loss and degree of injury of scoured flax under the no-cutting condition were lower than that of scoured flax under the cutting condition. Secondly, when flax was scoured with $Na_{2}CO_{3}$, it was obtained that the higher weight loss and degree of injury and weight loss with the increase of scouring time and condition. The degree of injury was lower than any other under the treatment condition of 4% $Na_{2}CO_{3}$concentraion for 2 hours. Finally, when alkaline scoured flax was rescoured by pectinase, enzyme activation effect was the most active under the treatment condition of pH 4 for 2 hours. The scouring effect was better than that of alkaline scouring only.

Effects of Xylanase Supplementation to Wheat-based Diet on the Performance and Nutrient Availability of Broiler Chickens

  • A trial was conducted to evaluate the level of wheat substituted for corn in a traditional corn-soy diet and the xylanase supplementation effect on the growth performance and nutrient digestion of broiler chickens. This experiment was a randomized design with a 4${\times}$2 factorial arrangement with four levels of wheat substitution and two levels of enzyme inclusion in the diet. Wheat replaced 0, 25, 50 or 100% corn with or without 1 g/kg xylanase supplementation in iso-nitrogenous and iso-calorific experimental diets. The results showed that in the growing period, broilers attained the highest (p<0.05) body weight gain, feed intake, and relative small intestine weight when wheat was substituted at 25% for corn. The relative caecum weight increased (p<0.05) linearly with increasing levels of wheat substitution for corn. However, during the finishing period and entire experimental period from 0 to 6 weeks, no significant difference was shown in the growth performance among all treatments. Xylanase inclusion significantly improved the body weight gain, fat availability (p<0.01) and diet metabolisable energy (p<0.1) but decreased (p<0.05) the relative GI tract weight during the growing period. The digesta viscosity of 6-week old broilers was also decreased (p<0.05). It appears that wheat substituted for corn did not affect the growth performance, nutrient digestion, and the digesta viscosity of chickens. It is acceptable to completely substitute wheat for corn. Xylanase supplementation improved performance.

사료이용율 증가에 따른 비반추가축의 분뇨에 의한 공해발생 감소에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reducing Pollutants in Non-Ruminant Manure by Increasing Feed Utilization)

  • 가축사육이 집단화되면서 가축배설물의 축적은 집중화 현상을 초래하게 되었고 또 계속적인 분뇨 분비물의 유출은 환경공해의 요인이 되고 있으며 이는 공공의 걱정거리로 대두되고 있다. 가축분뇨 중에서 질소와 인이 환경공해요인이 되는 가장 중요한 영양소이지만 가축이나 축산시설물에서 발생되는 냄새 역시 공해의 요인이 되고 있다. 급여되는 사료의 영양소효율을 높이는 길이 환경공해를 감소시키는 방법이다. 가장 많은 실험은 닭과 돼지를 대상으로 하여 이루어졌다. 사료첨가제의 이용, 사양방법의 수정 등으로 사료중의 영양소 이용성을 높임으로서 질소와 인의 배출감소는 물론 냄새와 분의 건물함량을 줄일 수 있었다. 1) 합성아미노산 제제를 사료 중에 첨가하고 단백질 수준을 감소시켰을 때 육계의 경우 10∼27%의 질소배출을 기대할 수 있었으며 산란계의 경우 18∼35%, 돼지의 경우 62%, 돼지에서 생성되는 냄새를 9∼43%까지 감소시키는 효과를 기대 할 수 있었다. 2) 사료 중에 효소제를 첨가하였을 때 육계 분의 건물함량을 12∼15% 감소시킬 수 있었다. 3) phytase를 첨가할 경우 분으로 배설되는 인의 함량은 양계의 경우 25∼35%,돼지의 경우 9∼43%까지 감소가 가능했다. 4) 성장촉진제를 이용할 경우 돼지에서 질소의 배설 양을 5∼30% 감소시킬 수 있었으며 냄새는 53∼55%까지 감소가 가능했다. 5) 사료배합을 요구량에 가깝게 하여 급여하였을 때 양계나 양돈의 경우 질소와 인은 각각 10∼15% 감소를 기대 할 수 있었으며 돼지의 냄새는 28∼79%까지 감소가 가능했다. 6) 기별 사양을 철저히 실시함으로서 양계와 양돈의 경우 질소는 10∼33%, 인산은 10∼13%, 그리고 성장 비육돈의 경우 49∼79% 감소를 기대 할 수 있다. 7) 닭이나 돼지의 사료를 배합시 소화율이 높은 곡류를 이용하면 질소와 인의 배설을 5% 감소시킬 수 있다.

생물학적 노출평가를 통한 타겟 제조업 근로자의 공정별 인듐 노출위험성 조사 (Investigating the potential exposure risk to indium compounds of target manufacturing workers through an analysis of biological specimens)

  • Objectives: Along with the several cases of pulmonary disorders caused by exposure to indium that have been reported in Japan, China, and the United States, cases of Korean workers involved in processes that require handling of indium compounds with potential risk of exposure to indium compounds have also been reported. We performed biological monitoring for workers in various target manufacturing processes of indium, indium oxide, and indium tin oxide(ITO)/indium zinc oxide(IZO) in domestic factories. Materials: As biological exposure indices, we measured serum concentrations of indium using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, and Krebs von den Lungen 6(KL-6) and surfactant protein D(SP-D) using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays. We classified the ITO/IZO target manufacturing process into powdering, mixing, molding, sintering, polishing, bonding, and finishing. Results: The powdering process workers showed the highest serum indium level. The mixing and polishing process workers also showed high serum indium levels. In the powdering process, the mean indium serum concentration in the workers exceeded $3{\mu}g/L$, the reference value in Japan. Of the powdering, mixing, and polishing process workers, 83.3%, 50.0%, and 24.5%, respectively, had values exceeding the reference value in Japan. We suppose that the reason of the higher prevalence of high indium concentrations in powder processing workers was that most of the particles in the powdering process were respirable dust smaller than $10{\mu}m$. The mean KL-6 and SP-D concentrations were high in the powdering, mixing, and polishing process workers. Therefore, the workers in these processes who were at greater risk of exposure to indium powder were those who had higher serum levels of indium, as well as KL-6 and SP-D. We observed significant differences in serum indium, KL-6, and SP-D levels between the process groups. Conclusions: Five among the seven reported cases of "indium lung" in Japan involved polishing process workers. Polishing process workers in Korea also had high serum levels of indium, KL-6, and SP-D. The outcomes of this study can be used as essential bases for establishing biological monitoring measures for workers handling indium compounds, and for developing health-care guidelines and special medical surveillance in Korea.
