Bridge engineering documents have essential contents that must be referenced continuously throughout a structure's entire life cycle, but research related to the quality of the contents is still lacking. XML schema matching is an excellent technique to improve the quality of stored data; however, it takes excessive computing time when applied to documents with many contents and a deep hierarchical structure, such as bridge engineering documents. Moreover, it requires a manual parametric study for matching elements' weight factors, maintaining a high matching accuracy. This study proposes an efficient weight-factor determination method based on an artificial neural network (ANN) model using the simplified XML schema-matching method proposed in a previous research to reduce the computing time. The ANN model was generated and verified using 580 data of document properties, weight factors, and matching accuracy. The proposed ANN-based schema-matching method showed superiority in terms of accuracy and efficiency compared with the previous study on XML schema matching for bridge engineering documents.
This study was aimed to evaluate any influence of environmental factors associated with feeding on infants' growth. One hundred infants(62 males and 38 females) aged 4-9 months were measured for length and were weighed. Their mothers were interviewed using questionnaires including general and environmental characteristics and maternal feeding attitude, ideal body habitus, infant's food behavior, and infant's food behavior, and infant's temperament. A further study was conducted on 29 infants at the time their ages reached 12 months. Their dietary intakes were assessed, and blood hemoglobin and serum ferritin concentrations were measured. Z-scores of weight-for-age(WAZ) and Z-scores of height-for-age(HAZ) of 4-9 month- old infants were not correlated with age, education level, income, weight, and height of their parents. Formula-fed infants had significantly lower WAZ and body mass index (BMI) than those of breast fed infants. WAZ was significantly correlated with maternal feeding attitude, but not with ideal body habitus, infant's food behavior or infant's temperament. WAZ of 12-months after birth because of supplementary foods introduced from 6 months of age. WAZ and BMI were positively correlated with blood hemoglobin concentration. Therefore, to ensure proper growth of infants, efforts should be given to postental factors such as breast-feeding, maternal feeding attitude, adequate iron status as well as prenatal factors. The Purpose of this study was to identify characteristics of fatigue and the relationship between fatigue and related factors in patients on hemodialysis. This study was a survey study using a cross-sectional design. The subjects for this study were 101 patients on hemodialysis who were registered in the six hemodialysis clinics among a total of eleven clinics in Seoul. The period of data collection was from February 28, 1995 to May 2, 1995. Data were collected through an interview with a structured packet and the physiological data. The tools used in this study were the Visual Analogue Scale-Fatigue developed by Lee et al(1990) and translated by Lee(1991), the fatigue interview schedule developed by this researcher, Zung's self rating depression scale(Zung, 1965), the self-efficacy scale developed by Sherer et al(1982) and the Norbeck Social Support Questionnaire(NSSQ) translated by Oh(1984). The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics(mean, standard deviation, frequency, range), Pearson correlation coefficients and Stepwise multiple regression. The results were as follows ; 1. Characteristics of Fatigue of hemodialysis patients : 1) 79 of 101 hemodialysis patients complained fatigue. 2) The mean fatigue score as measured by the VAS-F was 36.2mm. 3) The mean duration of fatigue was 2.9 hours 2. Characteristics of fatigue related factors : 1) The physiologic factor which included Hgb, Hct, BUN, creatinine, potassium and interdialytic weight gain deviated from normal range. 2) The psychological factor which included depression and self-efficacy was about the same level as for patients with other chronic diseases. 3) The environmental factor which included social support had wide variation. 3. The relationship between fatigue and related factors : 1) Interdialytic weight gain in the physiologica factor was the only valuable with fatigue (p<.05) 2) The relationship between fatigue and the psychological factor of depression showed a positive and strong correlation(p<.05). According to the findings of this study, fatigue was highly correlated with the depression. This indicates that nurses should try to assess and control psychological factors when patients complain of fatigue rather than just considering physiological factors. Nursing has to develop effective nursing interventions to reduce fatigue in patients with chronic diseases using the relationship between fatigue and physiological, psychological and environmental factors.
Recently, Construction industry has been trying to reduce environmental impacts reflecting the global trend 'Green Growth'. However most of previous studies focused on operation & maintenance phases and do not have been approached construction phases. In addition, environmental management factors by project participants are assessed with only weight of factors, overlooking these work difficulty. Therefore This study aims to deducted the critical environmental management factors by project participants considering work difficulty in plan, design and construction phase. The basis data is collected through literature reviews and interview targeting each project participant and analyze these data using importance-difficulty analysis(IDA).

Oviposition and egg laying is an important physiological and behavioural event in the life cycle of the silkworm, Bombyx mori (L). Oviposition and egg laying is dependent on a number of intrinsic and extrinsic factors viz., neural, hormonal, environmental, physical, behavioral etc for the perpetuation of population. Although, the virgin female moths have fully developed embryos but active egg laying begins under the influence of mating which provides essential copulation stimulus for oviposition. After mating drastic biochemical changes occurred that incites egg laying under the influence of optimum environmental conditions. Weight of pupae as well as larval density has significant role on oviposition and egg laying behaviour in the silkworm wherein high pupal weight and inadequate rearing space affects not only the biology, morphology and physiology but also the oviposition and egg laying. Surface topography, plane of inclination, mating length, age of male moth, temperature and photoperiod etc has significant effect on reproductive physiology of silkworm. An attempt has been made in this review article to elucidate briefly the works carried out on mating behaviour, direct and indirect copulation stimulus, vitellogenesis, influence of environmental factors besides effect of weight of pupae and or pharate adult and larval density on oviposition and egg laying behavior in the silkworm, B. mori and its significance in silkworm seed production.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to estimate genetic and environmental factors which can effect growth, and predict final height using this factors. Methods: Correlation analysis and regression analysis were conducted between measurements of height and Genetic & environmental factors through survey from 1352 child & adolescent patients. Results: Factors which have correlation with height percentile are MPH(Mid-Parental Height), NBW(Neonatal body weight), anorexia, dyspepsia, atopic dermatitis, frequency of breakfast and quality of sleeping time. MPH has moderate relation, NBW and anorexia have fair relation, and other factors have linear but poor relation. Regression equation from factors which have correlation and height percentile has 26.9% of predictive power. Regression equation considering only genetic factor has 20.4%. MPH has the most effect on height percentile. Anorexia has more effect than NBW. Other factors also have small and similar effect. Conclusions: Height of parents has the most effect on growth, anorexia, dyspepsia, atopic dermatitis, frequency of breakfast and quality of sleeping time also has effect.
Purpose: As declines in the quality of residential environments occur, such as urban heat island effect, tropical night phenomenon, and violations of right to light and privacy due to urban densification and high rise building, these problems are emerging as social issues. In order to improve these issues, design factors which consider environmental aspects must be selected when planning apartment complexes, and ways to reflect them in the planning phase must be explored. Method: In this study, the analytical hierarchy process(AHP) was used to deduce design factors that considered environmental elements during the planning of apartment complexes. Furthermore, the priority and weight for each evaluation index were assessed. The objective was to propose a guideline for planning apartment complexes by finding the best solution for each evaluation index using complex weight values. Result: Floor area ratio was selected as the most important evaluation criterion in the environmentally conscious evaluation index for apartment complex planning. The shape and placement of skylights were selected as the most important evaluation criteria in the sunshine environment for a pleasant residential environment. Ground surface cover design was selected as the most important criterion in the outdoor thermal environment index for improving the microclimate within cities and apartment complexes. Thus, the results of this study can serve as an investigation guideline that concerns policy and regulations, and as reference data that can be used in planning apartment complexes.
Debates relevant to the etiology of weight gain or obesity, i.e., the dichotomous understandings about whether obesity arises from the genetic predisposition or from the environmental influences, has long existed. This is an important issue because it is related to the therapists's prejudice when treating patients with obesity. In this review, the authors first discuss the environmental and the genetic factors that cause the obesity, and in the latter part, the interactions between genetic and environmental factors will be discussed. This issue is considered and described especially in a conceptual aspect for the therapists ultimately to understand how the genetic and the environmental factors interact to arise obesity. Conclusively, obesity is best understood as a complex, multifactorial, and chronic disabled state, which cause an individual with genetic predispostion to obesity under the environmental influences. In future, in favor of the accumulated knowledge about the genetic and environmental impacts and their interactions in detail, we will be able to provide a client-specific management or prevention of obesity.
This study was to investigate relationship between osteoporosis and various factors. We compared the result in 390 women with under -2.5 bone mineral density (BMD, T-scores) with those in 370 women with over -1.0 BMD. According to WHO criteria, women with -2.5 BMD are regarded as patient with osteoporosis, while with above -1.0 BMD are healthy. We obtained the BMD(T-scores) data of 9.704 adult women over 20 year old. The following are the results of this study: The mean age of interviewed women was 45.7 years and their menopausal age was 48.6 years. Means of height and weight were 157.3cm and 56.9Kg respectively. The BMD was the highest in 30-34 year-old women, an average ranges were in the 35-44 year old group. The BMD decreased after 45 year-old. The early sixties women began to experience thiness of the BMD and the mid-sixties showed symptoms of osteoporosis. The formular showing the relationship between age and BMD can be represented as $Y=9.71X^2-2.71X+0.06$ (p<0.001). The bone mineral density decreased significantly with increases of age(p<0.001) and decreases of weight(p<0.001) in multiple regression analysis using age, weight, menopause age, height, number of pregnancies, number of children, and age as independent variables.
The purpose of this paper is to compare the body types of Korean-Chinese and Han-Chinese women in their 60's dwelling in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture. In addition, a survey was conducted to analyze the social and environmental factors that would decide the body types of these two groups of individuals. 1) The comparison of 74 items in physical measurements between the Korean-chinese and Han-chinese showed differences in 36 items. 2) As for the body measurements of women, difference was found between the Han-Chinese and Korean-Chinese in all height items except bust height, circumference, depth, length, and weight. The values of Korean-Chinese were lower than those of Han-Chinese. 3) Cluster analysis shows that Korean- Chinese women appear thinner in regards to common weight, while Han-Chinese women appear to be thicker in regards to with common thinness. 4) Korean-Chinese women dwelling in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture maintained unique traditional customs and eating habits of Korea and were in constant contact with Korean cultures, which seems to make them care more about body management for health and beauty.
