건설기계류 소음 특성 (Characteristics of Construction Machinery Noise)

  • The construction noise has been considered as one of environment pollution and complaints about it have been increasing every year. In order to reduce construction machinery noise, the product noise labeling for construction machinery has been recommended since 1 February 1996 and in the near future the government will convert the recommended product noise labeling to the mandatory product noise labeling fir high noise construction machinery. Therefore, we investigated the noise and vibration level of 302 construction machines and the effect of noise reduction for the soundproof facilities in construction work sites to support the policy of the government. Additionally, we present the basic data that will be used for setting the standard of construction machinery noise and predicting the noise level near construction work sites in environmental impact assessment.

어머니의 심리적 환경과 아동행동문제와의 관계에 대한 횡문화적 고찰 (The Relationship between Maternal Psychological Environment and Child Behavioral Problem : A Cross-Cultural Study)

  • The influence of depression, self-esteem, and well-being components of maternal psychological environment on child behavior problems was examined in Korean and American populations. Findings were that the level of mother's self-esteem was lower in Korean than in American mothers; the level of mother's "autonomy" and "environmental mastery" was lower in Korean than in American mothers; and "somatic complaints" were more frequent in the Korean group. The relationship between maternal psychological environment and child behavior problems was greater in the American group. In the Korean group, autonomy and enviornmental mastery were negative components causing both internalized and externalized behavor problems in children. Mothers' depression was the most powerful variable, affecting internalized and externalized behavior problems in both Korean and American groups.

  • The railroad noise has been considered as one of environment pollution and complaints about it have been increasing every year. Therefore, the establishment of railroad noise monitoring network is necessary. It will be designed for monitoring railroad noise, storing data of railroad noise continuously and providing the fundamental knowledge for the measures of railroad noise. For this, we investigated the actual condition and status of railroad noise according to distance around Daejeon, Daegu, Gwangju, and Busan. This paper shows the basic data that will be used for predicting the noise level near railroad in the environmental impact assessment.

  • Recently, Tunnel in soil has been designed frequently because Mountain Tunnel has been increased rapidly due to straight of horizontal curve and residents' complaints, tunnel portal has been planned at closed to surface for minimization of environmental damage. To excavate tunnel in soil, where displacement and crushing occur in tunnel face and crown because of unstable ground condition, appropriate reinforcement method needed. On this paper, through design and construction of the soil tunnel, consider application of reinforcement method, economical efficiency and stability.

  • In this study, the remodeling of the insulation for the study of economic evaluation to find out. Targeting first Hyomin Domitory in Dong-Eui University, the purpose of the study is to carry out insulation work to conform to the strengthening of legal insulation standards. Studies in the way of insulation construction surveys of students who after living through the Survey. Exterior walls and windows with a comparative analysis of the thermal transmittance insulation performance is calculated according to the annual heating costs. The study is about 108 years after the investment is recovered through the break-even point was to know. Resolve residents' complaints, the gap wind reduction, reduction of environmental pollution and other problems solved.

  • Recently, more power facilities are needed to cope with the increasing electric demand. However, the additional construction of generators, transmission and distribution installations is not easy because of environmental problems and citizen's complaints. Under this circumstance, a microgrid system with distributed renewable resources emerges as an alternative of the traditional power systems. Moreover, the configuration of power system changes with more DC loads and more DC installations. This paper is written to introduce an idea of a genetic algorithm-based solution to determine the optimal capacity of the distributed generators depending on the types of system configuration: AC-link, DC-link and Hybrid-link types. In this paper, photovoltaic, wind turbine, energy storage system and diesel generator are considered as distributed generators and the feasibility of the proposed algorithm is verified by comparing the calculated capacity of each distributed resource with HOMER simulation results for 3 types of system configuration.

  • Due to the complaints on the emission gases from diesel locomotives, the diesel locomotives are replaced by electric locomotives, resulting in the decrease of diesel locomotives in Korea. However, the emission gases from diesel locomotives have become serious environmental concern at stations and car depots. In this study, a diesel particluate filter (DPF) for diesel locomotive was developed in order to reduce the emission gases. The concentration of nano particulate matters before and after the DPF was analyzed using a SMPS (Scanning mobility particle sizer) and MOUDI (Micro orifice uniform deposited impactor) to evaluate the performance of DPF in particulate matters removal.

항공승무원의 기압성 중이염 (Barotits Media in Aircrews)

  • Middle-ear barotrauma is a common problem reported by aircrew members and passengers. Studies have shown that 20~50% of passengers report ear complaints during the flight or after landing. Barotitis media is defined as an acute or chronic inflammation caused by a pressure differential between the tympanic cavity and the surrounding atmosphere. The Problems caused by otitis media or sinusitis of aircrew during landing and take-off can be a threat to aviation safety. Therefore, the aviation medical examiner should know about barotitis media of aircrews. In this paper, we aimed to learn what is barotitis media and how much it could affect aircrews. Also, we aimed to evaluate how barotitis media could make an impact on crews during flight, and how to manage these problems.

  • Noise, dust, etc. caused by road pavement cutting work, which frequently occurs in new construction or reconstruction of buildings, construction of complexes, etc., are environmental hazards and cause civil complaints. Recently, an eco-friendly pavement cutter is being developed to make the work low in noise and dust, however, the on-site cutting performance of the equipment has not been quantified. In this study, in order to derive a standard value for comparing the cutting performance of the eco-friendly cutter under development, a conventional pavement cutter was applied to four residential sites in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, and the cutting data was collected. As a result of analyzing the collected data, the conventional pavement cutter showed a cutting performance of 12.3 to 20.2 sec/m, and the average was 27.2 sec/m. In the future, additional cutting experiments with various mixing ratios, materials, and depths are planned to confirm the performance of conventional pavement cutter in more detail.
