A Survey on the Sanitary Condition of Kitchens of School Lunch Program

  • A survey was conducted to investigate the sanitary condition of school kitchens in one region of Korea. A self-administered questionnaire recommended by the Korea Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development (MOEHRD) was offered to a random sample of dieticians of twenty-five elementary schools for food, sanitation and safety inspection of their kitchens. Air temperature, relative humidity, and airborne microbes in the kitchens were monitored during food preparation, processing and service. The inspection results showed their sanitary condition met the level B of the recommendation of the Korea MOEHRD. The range of air temperature of the kitchens was 21.4∼22.4$^{\circ}C$, and the range of relative humidity was 62.4∼69.6%. The microbiological evaluation of kitchen samples indicated aerobic plate count levels from 22.5 to 26.5 CFU/15 min. These results indicate that the levels of sanitary condition of kitchens in the schools were not satisfactory for safe foodservice although the inspection showed good results. This study suggests that the school kitchens should be monitored and strict inspection is necessary.

자연환경과 건강증진에 관한 새로운 패러다임에 관한 고찰 (A New Paradigm of the Relationships between the Natural Environment and Human Health)

  • The natural environment plays an important role not only in ecological sustainability, but also in human health. Growing attention has been focused on the health benefits of natural environments with increasing scientific evidence in this field. Urban green space has positive effects on individual and community health; thus, it is considered as social infrastructure. The natural environment promotes mental health by relieving psychological stress and depression. Physical health can be improved by experiencing nature, which reduces physiological stress and boosts the immune system. Several international initiatives have been undertaken to improve our understanding in this field and to utilize these benefits for health promotion. Interdisciplinary approaches are needed to promote human health through the natural environment in the fields of science, education, planning and policy.

농가 주거환경 평가 (Residents' Evaluation for Rural Housing Environment)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify factors related to residential satisfaction, and to examine the rural housing and village environment which enable to derive what should be considered in the future rural housing improvement. Data were collected by questionnaire survey in 11 rural villages - suburban rural area, plain rural area, intermediate rural area, mountainous rural area. The major findings are as follows: 1) The rural residents rather dissatisfied with'management/maintenance','economic value','facade'in housing level, The overall housing satisfaction level was just medium(neither satisfied nordissatisfied). 2) They also dissatisfied with'playground for children','education condition','medical facilities', 'market'in village level. The overa'll village satisfaction level was just above average(slightly satisfied). 3) Vrom the result of ANOVA test, there are no significant differences in residents evaluation for tiousing and village attributes among 4 rural areas. 4) Factor analysis identified six rural housing environmental factors:'inside utilities','housing size' 'aesthetic aspects','safety','privacy','outside utilities'. 5) For the rural village environments six important factors were derived :'public services','commercial convenience facilities','social interaction','environmental pollution','amenity','agricultural service facilities'.

피지컬 컴퓨팅 게임 개발을 위한 환경적 요소에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Environmental Elements for Physical Computing Game Development)

  • 본 연구는 가상세계에서 물리적 성질을 부여해 인터렉션하는 피지컬 컴퓨팅의 개념을 게임 개발에 적용함에 있어 중요한 환경적 요소에 관한 것이다. 이를 위해 피지컬 컴퓨팅 환경과 기존의 피지컬 컴퓨팅게임, 디지털 아트와 정보교육 분야의 연구 사례 분석을 통해 환경적 요소를 선별했다. 도출된 요소들은 델파이 조사방법으로 합의를 검증했다. 개발 환경 측면, 관련 사례 측면, 개발 서비스 측면으로 구분하여 27개의 요소를 선정했으며 피지컬 컴퓨팅의 환경 측면의 중요도가 가장 높게 나타났다. 세부 영역별로는 가상세계의 물리적 성질부여, 구현 기술의 적합성, 현실의 플레이이어와 가상의 플레이어와의 일치성 순으로 나타났다.

수요자 중심의 산업안전보건교육 과정 개발을 위한 요구분석 -관리감독자 정기안전보건교육을 중심으로- (Analysis of Educational Needs for Developing a Consumer-oriented Regular Safety and Health Education Curriculum - Focusing on Management Supervisors)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to suggest a direction for consumer-oriented curriculum development by analyzing the priorities of subjects and their preference for educational methods. Methods: The participants included 773 management supervisors and education practitioners in the workplace, and a survey was conducted from April 17 to August 30, 2019. Frequency analysis, t-test, Borich's Needs Analysis, and Locus for Focus Model analysis were performed using Microsoft Excel 2019 and IBM SPSS 21.0. Results: The highest perceived priorities for education subjects were as follows: ① 'CPR and First Aid Practice' and 'Occupational Disaster Prevention and First Aid Basics' in the manufacturing industry; and ② 'Emotional Labor and Job Stress Prevention', 'Occupational Disaster Prevention and First Aid basics, and 'Musculoskeletal Disorder Prevention' in the service industry. 'Collective education' was the most preferred method of education. 'School-type' was preferred for the seating arrangement, and the proper number of trainees was considered to be about 30. Respondents said the contents of the education was a top priority when they applied for education, and curriculum and appropriate textbooks should be considered in calculating the cost of education. Conclusions: Practical subjects and subjects related to major hazards by industry were required for management supervisor education. It was proposed in this study that the contents and operating methods of education be changed so that workers can easily comprehend essential subjects such as the Occupational Safety and Health Act. In conclusion, it is necessary to design the curriculum and apply educational methods suitable for each subject's characteristics in consideration of the priorities for subjects reflected in the needs of trainees.

중.고등학교 과학교사의 탐구수업 환경 요인에 관한 연구 (Study on Environmental Factors of Inquiry Instruction of Secondary School Science Teachers)

  • 본 연구는 중 고등학교 과학교사의 탐구수업 환경 요인에 대한 인식을 조사하였다. 조사도구는 근무 여건, 탐구수업 환경 요인, 탐구수업 장애 및 개선 요인 등의 3개 영역으로 구성되어 있다. 중 고등학교 과학교사간의 근무 여건에는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 탐구수업 환경 요인에는 '시설 및 장학지원', '업무량과 학습자료', '교사교육과 교과서', '탐구에 대한 지식과 실천', '필요성 인식과 교사의 만족도' 등 5개의 요인으로 구성되었으며, 중 고등학교 과학교사들은 '필요성 인식과 만족도'를 제외한 나머지 요인들에 대해 탐구수업을 실시하기에 부적절한 수준인 것으로 생각하였다. 탐구수업의 장애 및 개선 요인으로 중학교 과학교사들은 '다인수 학급', '교과서', '학습 자료'를 우선으로 생각하였으며, 고등학교 과학교사들은 '다인수 학급'과 '입시제도'를 우선으로 생각하였다. 중 고등학교 과학 탐구수업을 활성화시키기 위해서는 적절한 탐구 학습자료의 개발과 보급을 통해 업무량 및 심리적 부담을 감소시키고, 교사 교육의 체계적인 재조직 및 강화가 요구된다.

고령자의 신체특성을 반영한 전시시설 환경디자인 체크리스트 개발에 관한 연구 (Study on the Development of Environmental Design Checklist at Exhibition Facility Based on Physical Characteristics of the Elderly)

  • 전 세계적으로 고령화시대에 접어들면서 고령자에게도 시대의 변화에 따라 지식과 기술을 습득하는 '평생교육'의 중요성이 대두되고 있다. 전시시설은 전시컨텐츠와 전시물의 공간적 구성에 의해 교육을 제공하는 평생학습 공간으로서의 시대적 역할이 요구됨에 따라 주 이용자층의 범위 역시 청소년, 청·장년층에서 고령자로 확대되어진다는 사실을 예견할 수 있다. 그러므로 고령자에게는 전시시설이 또 다른 학습공간이 될 수 있으며, 이러한 학습이 원활하게 이루어지기 위해서는 고령자의 신체특성을 고려한 물리적 환경지원이 필요하다. 본 연구는 고령자의 신체특성에 따른 전시시설 환경디자인 체크리스트를 개발하여 전시시설에서의 고령자의 원활한 전시관람 및 교육을 지원하는 환경계획의 틀을 마련하고자 한다. 고령자의 신체적 특성을 '감각(시력, 청력, 촉감)' 과 '운동(골격, 이동, 체력, 근력)'으로 구분하고 전시시설을 진입공간, 전시공간, 공공서비스공간, 교육활동공간, 이동공간으로 분류하여 각 공간에서의 환경디자인 체크리스트를 도출하였다. 기존 관련 법령, 매뉴얼, 선행연구를 종합하여 전시시설에서의 고령자 관람자를 위한 환경디자인 체크리스트를 새롭게 구성하였고, 후속연구를 위한 현장실측항목과 설문항목을 도출하였다.

공공 포탈에서의 웹 2.0 구현전략에 관한 연구 : EBS 사례를 중심으로 (A Web 2.0 Strategy for the Public Portal Sites : EBS Case)

  • Web 2.0 which is characterized by openness, sharing with others and users' active participation has a strong impact on Individual and business environments. New technology such as open-API, RSS, collective intelligence gives various benefits to the website user. Recently, the Web 2.0 paradigm has also affected the public service. Many public service organizations are also adopting Web 2.0 applications to improve their ability for serving users more effectively. However, there is a contradiction between value of public service and that of web 2.0. Web 2.0 which pursues openness and freedom of expression can impair the accuracy and reliability of public information in the public sites. We conducted a case study on EBS which reflects the Web 2.0 strategy for websites renewal. To cope with environmental changes, EBS began reorganization of the web site and applied Web 2.0 strategy for leveraging an easy to use and user satisfaction. This research shows that how to Implement the Web 2.0 strategy and what is the limitation of it. The findings of this study suggest practical implications for Web 2.0 strategy in public web sites, especially for educational fields.

대학교의 학교보건조직과 보건관리 실태 (Survey on University Health Service Organization and Health Services in Korea)

  • To assess the university health service organization(UHSO) and its school health programs a questionnaire survey for all of 186 four-year colleges in Korea was conducted from December 1. 1998 to March 31. 1999. The response rate was 91.9 percent(171 universities). The UHSO was established in 116 universities(67.8%L The most common name of UHSO. used in 61 universities(52.6%). was school health center. Only 45(38.8%) of the 116 universities surveyed had a committee to support and run the UHSO. The percentage of universities that had committee was higher in national universities and those with a large number of students. The average number of staff working in the UHSO was 3.5; 4.6 in national universities; and 7.1 in universities with more than 15.000 students. There were 43 universities(37.1%) which had a part-time physician and 104 universities (89. 7%) had full-time nurses. Only 4 universities(3.4%) had a independent facility for the UHSO while most of UHSO were housed in other building. The UHSO had an independent budget in 86 universities(74.1%). The average budget per university was 46.890.000 won: private universities had more budget with 59.170.000 won on average than national universities with 36.990.000 won. The average budget allocated per student was 4.362 won. A regular physical examination was performed in 72 universities(62.1%). The percentage of university that performed regular physical examination was higher in private universities than in national universities. Health counseling was performed in 113 universities(97.4%) and vaccinations in 87 universities(75.0%). Medical care services were performed in 87 universities(75.0%). and the private universities and those with over 10.000 students provided the student with more services. Environmental sanitation was executed in 73 universities(62.9%) and health education was conducted in 68 universities(58.6%)' The school health management activities were promoted in 104 universities(89.7%) out of 116 universities with UHSO. Only 12 universities(10.3%) published reports on the achievements and performance of the UHSO. Only 29 universities(25.0%) had a continuing education for employees of the UHSO.

특수학교 및 특수학급의 스마트교육 환경 조성 및 특수교사의 스마트기기 활용 실태 (Examination of the Physical Environmental Readiness for Smart Learning in Special Schools and Classes and the Actual Utilization of Smart Devices by Special Education Teachers)

  • 본 연구는 전국 특수학교(급)의 스마트교육 환경 조성 및 특수교사의 스마트기기 활용 실태를 파악하여 스마트교육의 활성화 방안을 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 특수학교(급)의 무선 인터넷 구축, 특수교사의 스마트기기 활용 등에 관한 14문항의 설문을 개발하였다. 설문조사는 전국 발달장애 특수학교와 초 중 고등학교 특수학급의 특수교사 991명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석을 위해 SPSS 21.0 통계 프로그램을 통해 빈도분석과 교차분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 특수학교(급) 모두 스마트교육을 위한 환경이 열악하고 교사들은 기반시설 부족, 추가비용의 발생 등으로 인해 어려움을 겪는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 특수학교(급) 교사들은 교과시간의 도입부분에 동기유발을 목적으로 스마트기기를 가장 많이 활용하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 특수교육대상 학생을 위한 스마트교육 환경의 구축과 교사 지원을 위한 시스템 마련을 제안하였다.
