  • This research has been started with the goal of design and implementation of more innovative next generation security equipment system by understanding and reviewing the technological trend and status of security equipment system. The importance of environmental protection and management is ever increasing recently. Various types of equipment and system solutions are used according to the development of CCTV technology, but more efficient environmental protection and management are not in place because of situational restrictions such as expensive equipment and hard to install. Next generation security equipment system is designed and implemented to compensate and innovate these problem, and it is expected to utilize more effectively with lower cost through this research. In addition, methodology to inquire this system is proposed for security equipment system solution.

  • Heritage timber structures represent the history and culture of a nation. These structures have been inherited from previous generations; however, they inevitably exhibit deterioration over time, potentially leading to structural deficiencies. Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) offers the potential to assess operational anomalies, deterioration, and damage through processing and analysis of data collected from transducers and sensors mounted on the structure. This paper reports on the design and implementation of a long-term SHM system on the Feiyun Wooden Pavilion in China, a three-story timber building built more than 500 years ago. The principles and features of the design and implementation of SHM systems for heritage timber buildings are systematically discussed. In total, 104 sensors of 6 different types are deployed on the structure to monitor the environmental effects and structural responses, including air temperature and humidity, wind speed and direction, structural temperatures, strain, inclination, and acceleration. In addition, integrated data acquisition and transmission subsystem using a newly developed software platform are implemented. Selected preliminary statistical and correlation analysis using one year of monitoring data are presented to demonstrate the condition assessment capability of the system based on the monitoring data.

  • An approach to efficient implementation of real-time control systems is presented in this paper. A compiler for translation of control algorithms is used in combination with a general program for real-time control. The compiler translates control algorithms written for the simulation in a design language to an implementation language. The translated algorithms are then automatically incorporated in the real-time control program.

  • This study was performed to analyze the effects of a water circulation green area plan on non-point source pollution in Gimhae South Korea. A quantitative analysis of Arc-GIS data was conducted by applying a watershed model based on Fortran to investigate the changes to direct runoff and pollution load. Results showed that prior to the implementation of the water circulation green area plan in Gimhae, direct runoff was $444.05m^3/year$, total biological oxygen demand (BOD) pollution load was 21,696 kg/year, and total phosphorus (TP) pollution load was 1,743 kg/year. Implementation of the development plan was found to reduce direct runoff by 2.27%, BOD pollution load by 1.16% and TP pollution load by 0.19% annually. The reduction in direct runoff and non-point source pollution were attributed to improvements in the design of impermeable layers within the city.

  • The impact of a new stadium on the urban context and regional development is significant. Especially where several new stadiums are built for single mega events like the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games or the Soccer World Cup the impact is even higher. Objective of this paper is to identify and analyze the key drivers for sustainable integration of stadiums within the existing context. The level of sustainability is analyzed based on four different categories: urban, social, environmental and economics. Particular focus is on the project management strategy for implementation of the key drivers during pre-design, design and execution. In conclusion key elements of the project management strategy for sustainable integration of a stadium within the urban, environmental, social and economic context are summarized.

  • Design factors such as design objects establishment, analysis, synthesis, production, test and evaluation should be educated in a systematic way. Also design ability to reflect practical restrictive conditions such as industrial standards, economic feasibility, environmental impact, aesthetics, safety and reliability, ethical impacts and social impacts should be cultivated. In this paper, we explain the meaning of these terms and propose a systematic engineering design education framework satisfying Korean engineering education accreditation criteria. We also present a simple implementation in information network engineering.

  • This study proposes Environmental Quality Deployment (EQD) by combining an instrument for measuring customer satisfaction (ENVIROQUAL) with a standard tool of product design in manufacturing called quality function deployment (QFD). The EQD presents the conceptual map of House of Environmental Quality as a means to implementation to help a company know what customers perceive as important in making environmentally friendly product and provide a framework for the translation of customer satisfaction into identifiable and measurable conformance specifications for environmentally friendly product design.

  • In this paper, a study on a method for designing and implementing an environmental information system to support environmental activities was done. First of all, research on the similar information system and necessary functions were derived. Necessary functions were largely classified into functions for cooperation such as policy consultation and publicity, and functions for environmental information data. Collaboration functions are classified in detail, and detailed contents of this function are summarized. In addition, a data model was designed for various environmental information, and an information server and client interface are designed as a cloud application. Cloud server configuration and design, and client web and app programs to access these information were implemented and tested each functions successfully.

  • In this study, We proposed a method to estimate the design flood by area ratio in an ungauged basin. For that, the discharge parameters was determined by calibration of observed data at the watershed outlet and then peak flow was estimated by area ratio. In order to verify suggested method, peak flow was compared the observed discharge of the small river basin and the design flood discharge of river implementation projects. The results were summarized as follows. As a result of comparing the discharge by the area ratio and observed discharge, the difference of peak flows were analysed 14 ~ 25%. When the discharge calculated with area ratio of small river was compared with the design flood discharge of river implementation projects, the relative error was analyzed to be less than 20%. It means that suggested method in this study is appropriate.

  • In general, the thermal control system has nonlinearity and the time delay, futhermore, it is difficult to design the free size controller, because the external environmental disturbances, such as rapid temperature change. Many researchers in this field are preferring to adapt the fuzzy logic control methods. But it is noted that the actuator identification of M.F.'s used in FLC is very difficult. Therefore in this paper, an implementation technique of thermal control system using RVEGA based optimal fuzzy control was proposed. It's superiority and exaction in controller design processes hardware in implementation were proved through a series of simulations and experimentations.
