The consciousness of environmental education has increased for the last decades, and schools make efforts for education in the systematic environment. To keep pace with trends such as the open school and the open class, students, teachers and parents are actively participating in environmental education programs. Parents' active participate in environmental education programs will provide excellent basis to operate environmental education efficiently and advise fruitful operation of environmental education programs. In addition, as parents play an important role of deciding the students' life habits or attitudes about environment, their participation is greatly meaningful. This study was conducted to 203 fourth and fifth graders in M elementary school in Ulsan city that operated the model school for protecting the forest from March to December, 2009 and their parents in order to examine the effects of parents' participation in environmental education programs, and the results are as follows. First, the student group with parents who participated in environmental education programs showed higher interest in surrounding environment of the school. Second, the student group with parents who participated in environmental education programs showed higher environment sensitiveness and environmental practice intention. Third, the parent group who participated in environmental education programs showed higher environmental sensitiveness and environmental practice intention. Fourth, the parent group who participated in environmental education programs showed higher satisfaction about the program. As the result of the study, environmental education programs with parents' participation attracted their active interest and participation about school environment problems, and a lot of conversation and attention between students and parents who participated in environmental education programs improved the students and their parents' environmental sensitiveness and environmental practice intention.

Modern society is an interaction between many different environments. It is important to the mutual relationships between people and especially between people and the environment. One of the mutual relationships between people and the environment is the traffic system, especially the traffic signals which give priority to pedestrian and traffic flow. Traffic signals for the pedestrian on the crosswalk contribute to a safe road environment for the pedestrian, while the traffic signals for the pedestrian running for the flickering of the green signal causes psychological stress. Therefore, this study investigated whether the walking velocity was influenced by the flickering of the green signal or not. Also, this study investigated whether the walking distance had an effect on the walking velocity of the elderly pedestrian or not. It was proved that the flickering of the green signal and the walking distance influenced the walking velocity and subjective sensitiveness according to the result of this study.

The intelligent monitoring system has been successfully applied in many fields such as: monitoring of production lines, transportation, etc. Smart surveillance systems have been developed and proven effective in some specific areas such as monitoring of human activity, traffic, etc. Most of critical application monitoring systems involve object tracking as one of the key steps. However, task of tracking of moving object is not easy. In this paper, the authors propose a method to implement human object tracking in outdoor environment based on human features in shearlet domain. The proposed method uses shearlet transform which combines the human features with context-sensitiveness in order to improve the accuracy of human tracking. The proposed algorithm not only improves the edge accuracy, but also reduces wrong positions of the object between the frames. The authors validated the proposed method by calculating Euclidean distance and Mahalanobis distance values between centre of actual object and centre of tracked object, and it has been found that the proposed method gives better result than the other recent available methods.

In this study the sensitivity subjected to housing environmental as well as actual life and subjected to dietary living using experimental mice were investigated. In order to invest sensitivity for dietary life of the mice, using the dropwort(MINAISU) juice and the fermented with the extracted dropwort for change of weight on the mice, this was examined. The result of thus, group of infection through the mouth on dietary treatment for the high-fat foods and the dropwort more than compared with group of dietary treatment for the high-fat foods tended to be decreased. On fermented secretion group of the dietary treatment total cholesterol number also was decreased, the concentration of HDL cholesterol was shown a slight increased. The result of studying for the sensitivity controlled architectural structural material for the mice, coming under wooden living environment, making appearance with increasing weight as well as taking food and drink for psychological rest was considered. To examine changing weight through the mice in regard to the sensitivity for dietary life and living environment, in connection with promotion of health as well as diseases control the caused by those, would be achieve new balanced growth on basic study. Also that would be anticipated to making good use of thus results.

OFDM system has a disadvantage of sensitiveness about the effect of the frequency offset caused by the discord of oscillators in transmitter and receiver. The frequency offset can be divided into integral part and decimal part. Although the frequency offset of integral part do not effect orthogonality between subcarriers, it makes the bit error probability become to 0.5 because of circular transient among transmitted data symbols. This paper proposes a new estimation scheme of the frequency offset of integral part by Maximum Likelihood (ML) demanding only one training symbol in multipath fading channel environment. This proposed scheme not only can reduce the number of training symbol but do not increase the complexity and it shows the better performance by simulation.
This study explored mothers' and grandmothers' perception regarding child rearing practices as overprotective behaviors for first to third grade levels of elementary school. The study was conducted on 202 mothers and grandmothers of first to third grade elementary school students. Questionnaires were made with 40 questions on overprotection behaviors selected from the existing questions for preschooler, high grade elementary students, and youth. The questionnaires were distributed to target subjects to answer how they would perceive when each of question is applied to their lower grade elementary students. Based on the collected responses and the factor analysis, it was found out that the overprotective behaviors were classified into four factors such as "reduction in independence," "over-sensitiveness to safety," "interference in daily life," and "health anxiety." There were significant differences in the perception of the overprotective behavior by the subjects depending on the generations, features of children and mothers. This study focused on the lower grade elementary school students who have been removed from studies due to the lack of intervention measures. It has the implication in that the findings of the study can give the basic data for the development of the scale on overprotective behaviors in lower grade elementary school students.

Dried oak mushroom have complex and various visual features. Grading and sorting of dried oak mushrooms has been done by the human expert. Though actions involved in human grading looked simple, a decision making underneath the simple action comes from the result of the complex neural processing of the visual image. Through processing details involved in human visual recognition has not been fully investigated yet, it might say human can recognize objects via one of three ways such as extracting specific features or just image itself without extracting those features or in a combined manner. In most cases, extracting some special quantitative features from the camera image requires complex algorithms and processing of the gray level image requires the heavy computing load. This fact can be worse especially in dealing with nonuniform, irregular and fuzzy shaped agricultural products, resulting in poor performance because of the sensitiveness to the crisp criteria or specific ules set up by algorithms. Also restriction of the real time processing often forces to use binary segmentation but in that case some important information of the object can be lost. In this paper, the neuro net based real time recognition algorithm was proposed without extracting any visual feature but using only the directly captured raw gray images. Specially formated adaptable size of grids was proposed for the network input. The compensation of illumination was also done to accomodate the variable lighting environment. The proposed grading scheme showed very successful results.
This study aimed to develop strategies to re-establish the Park Nature Conservation Area in Bukhansan National Park, reflecting landscape ecological value by using the zonation program Marxan with Zones. Planning unit was set by watershed, and the basic data were mapped, considering topographical and ecological values. Mapped indicators were analyzed with the application framework of Marxan with Zones by indexing some indicators. The zones divided into Park Nature Conservation Area (Zone A), Park Nature Environment Area I(Zone B) which is reflected on the concept of Potential Park Nature Conservation Area and Park Nature Environment Area II(Zone C). The best solution for each of the scenarios was fixed through the sensitiveness analysis. From these, the final solution was selected considering five criteria including area ratio of conservation area and grouping. Lastly, the final solution was verified in the overlapped analysis with recent zonation. According to the results, the number of watersheds was 77, with an average area of $1,007,481m^2$. In terms of basic mapping and indexation, the slope index and number of landscape resources for topographical property were average 0.22 and 38 places, respectively. Biotope index was average 0.69 and legally protected species was 14 species, reflecting ecological values. As the social and economic indicators, trail index was average 0.04, and the number of tour and management facilities was 43 places. Through the framework of Marxan with Zones, the best solution for scenario 1 which was set by the highest conservation criteria was selected as the final solution, and the area ratio of Park Nature Conservation Area and grouping was excellent. As the result of overlapped analysis, suggested zonation of the Park Nature Conservation was better than the recent zonation in the area raito (28.3%), biotope grade I(15.4%) and the distribution points (10 places) of legally protected species with verification of proper distribution of conservation features according to the zone.
Policies regarding to soil quality of the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, and Demark were analyzed to suggest Korean policy for improving soil quality concept and it's implementation. All countries met four criteria: I) Soil quality levels of contaminants are indebt to concept of contaminant risk to recipients (human and ecosystem); ii) Any soil quality value can't be a magic number to determine whether a site is contaminated or not. To determine risk of sites, risk assessment of the sites should be followed; iii) Concentrations of contaminants of sites are not always significantly certain to risk of human and ecosystem of the sites; and iv) Soil quality levels are adopted based on land uses and plans. Considering our rooms to improve policies and analysis of the other country reports on their legislations about soil quality levels, our policy implementation could be approached from these directions: i) Our concept for soil quality levels needs to develop in scientific and rational. ii) Soil quality levels and risk assessment should be implemented as determining tools of site contamination in parallel, and iii) Soil quality levels depending on land uses and plans should be developed in debt with rational and scientific concept of risk. Increasing efficacy of Korea policy regarding the soil quality levels would be in dept to applying concepts of SCL (Soil Contamination Level) and SRL (Soil Regulatory Level) developed, implementing soil quality levels and risk assessment of contaminated sites in conjunction, and classifying three distinctions of land uses based on sensitiveness of recipients (human and ecosystem) to contaminants in soil in this research.
