Cognitive Map based Tacit Knowledge Management Approach to Intelligent Sales Strategy Sharing of Enterprise S/W (기업용 S/W 판매전략 공유를 위한 인지지도 기반의 암묵지 관리 접근법)

  • Dramatic development of information technology requires new type of sales strategy to enterprise S/W dealers. That is, one should thoroughly consider diversified types of enterprise S/W and more elaborated consumer needs to establish successful sales strategy. However, various factors that should be considered in establishing enterprise S/W sales strategy are different according to types of enterprise S/W and hard to be managed systematically which led to the current situation where they have not been discussed enough. Therefore, this study introduced the relationship between the factors that affect selection of enterprise S/W using the concept of cognitive map on various enterprise S/W sales cases. Through this process, this study grouped the cognitive maps of similar cases to introduce their characteristics and made this result to be practically useful to enterprise S/W sales strategy.

  • Many IT specialists say that ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is the best way to manage resources in enterprise effectively. Actually lots of companies are using ERP solutions in the hope of getting competitiveness and employing global standard business practice. Wishing to take advantage of ERP S/W, companies have a preference for purchasing it and outsourcing ERP project. This paper is focusing on purchasing ERP S/W in business firms. This paper finds out what differences there are in purchasing ERP S/W for organization characteristics and building characteristics, and suggests some guidelines of S/W development to venders. The results would be strong implications for ERP vendors. Especially this paper identify what the reasons and the checkpoints are when firms introduce ERP S/W. To do this, this paper used empirical data obtained from companies in South Korea and analyzed it using statistical software.

  • We could confirm through this study that in the company which has secured its agility in an information technology dimension, a process dimension and an organization behavior dimension as a real time enterprise, various agility competences of that company are used more effectively for productivity Improvement, development on new products and customer satisfaction. Therefore, based on these determinant factors, it has been proved that an individually differentiated investment of technical and organizational resources for development and innovation of new products has contributed affirmatively to get a more efficient enterprise performance : and, in this point, it is verified again that the agility secured through a conversion toward the real time enterprise (RTE) is a more effective plan to increase the enterprise performance.

  • 현재 IT서비스업체에서 주요사업으로 수행중인 S/W의 개발분야에서 S/W공학은 마치 현실과 동떨어진 이론, 지식으로만 인식되고 실제 S/W공학의 효과를 인식하고 활용하는 사례가 극히 드문 것이 현실이다. LG CNS에서는 이러한 현실에서 실용적인 S/W공학을 재정의하고 이를 현장에 적용시키기 위하여 사업수행을 통해 얻은 S/W공학 측면의 사례를 발굴하여 이를 전사적으로 확산시키는 활동을 진행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 IT서비스의 전사적 측면에서 실용적인 S/W공학의 효과성을 재인식시키기 위한 방법론 측면의 접근사례를 소개한다.

  • Recently, as User Experience (UX) is considered as an important concept in the service design process of various fields, securing usability of Enterprise UX, UX developed for professional users, is acknowledged as an essential factor to increase work efficiency. The interface of Enterprise UX is complex and technically difficult for it is targeted for professional users. Thus, creating problems with complicated planning and relatively insufficient concerns regarding usability due to emphasis on development efficiency. It is necessary to consider various methods of usability, regarding further improvement is arduous in aspects of development and the cost. Therefore, this study aims to define the concept and specificity of Enterprise UX to improve usability and system effectively, and verify the main factors that reduce the usability of Enterprise UX. The evaluation of the research enterprise service, RDP (Research Data Platform), was conducted to establish and verify hypothesis. Furthermore, an independent evaluation standard for Enterprise UX is proposed after testing speculating factors that lower the usability of Enterprise UX. It is expected to utilize the Enterprise UX usability criteria defined through this study as a base data in enhancing usability and in designing Enterprise S/W.

End to End Business Process Management System using ebXML and Web service

  • With the introduction to ebXML and web service related standards, enterprises struggle to adapt to the rapidly evolving technology to meet the complex needs of the enterprise customer. The ability to integrate and interoperate individual services within enterprise and with other enterprise's information technology infrastructure using standard-based business processes is an important element of business process management system. For over 25 years EDI has established VAN based solution of exchanging business information in electronic form. However EDI solutions are only accessible to large organizations due to the cost factor. Moreover lack of well accepted B2B business process standards is hindering the success of promoting interoperability between organizations of any size. ebXML work is focused on defining the standard B2B business process context and its runtime semantics in order to remove these hindrances. However ebXML framework does not recommend any particular implementation model to interact with enterprise internal system. This paper propose a end to end business process management architecture by applying ebXML in the front end of the enterprise system and using BPEL to integrate front end services into related services within enterprise.

The Impact of Implementation of ISO9000: 2000 on Technology Improvement: A Case study

  • ISO9000 set of standards has been widely applied in Iranian Automotive manufacturing industry. Regarding the effects of TQM and ISO9000 set of standards various studies have been conducted and different quantitative conclusions have been made. Due to lack of quantitative information, in many of the cases, using qualitative information becomes the best option. The qualitative nature of data in such cases, requires qualitative analysis methods that might lead to some challenging computational issues. This paper examines the impact of ISO9000: 2000 certification and its perceived benefits for an automotive manufacturing company. Using an empirical approach, the paper seeks to ascertain if certification has indeed improved the performance of the company. Our null hypothesis rotates around the effect of ISO9000: 2000 on the 4W's of an enterprise. To carry out the research, first we developed a couple of questionnaires including all criteria of ISO9000 and 4W's. Second, the questionnaires were discussed with two researchers knowledgeable in the field, and then submitted to the quality practitioners and executives of Iran Khodro Enterprise-a leading company in Iranian automotive manufacturing industry. Finally the null hypothesis was tested and the technology improvement dimensions were ranked through nonparametric tests. The results illustrated a reasonable cause and effect relationship, suggesting that ISO9000: 2000 has positive effect on the 4W's of company result. In this work we investigate the effect as technology improvement viz., the improvement of techno-ware, human-ware, info-ware, and organ-ware.

  • To increase the productivity and efficiency of an enterprise, all relevant product information should be provided to shop floor workers timely and in a unified form because shop floor workers are final consumers of most accumulated information generated from various departments of an enterprise. But, most existing enterprise information systems have an emphasis upon providing design/manufacturing information to office workers. Proposed in this study is the development of integrated design/manufacturing information system focused on providing cohesive information required to shop floor activities. For developing integrated information system, the functional requirements at the shop floor are identified and analyzed. Based on the extracted functional requirements, object-oriented system design and implementation is conducted. By using this system, shop floor workers can use all relevant information required to their daily operation in a integrated and unified form.
