  • Energy recovery in the regenerative region is very important when SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) is used in traction drive. This is because that to reduce energy loss during mechanical braking and/or to have a high efficiency drive during braking. To control excitation voltage in motor operation and regenerative voltage in the generator operation in the SRM, multi-level voltage control is effective. This paper suggests multi-level inverter which is useful for motoring and regenerative operation in SRM.

  • To achieve high efficiency in high power and high frequency applications, reduction of switching losses and noise is very important. In this paper, an improved zero voltage switching forward dc/dc converter is proposed. The proposed converter is constructed by using energy recovery snubbers in parallel with the main switches and output diodes of the conventional forward dc/dc converter. Due to the use of the energy recovery snubbers in the primary and secondary side, the proposed converter achieves zero-voltage-switching turn-off without switching losses for switching devices and output rectification diodes. The complete operating principles and experimental results will be presented.

  • The sustain driver for AC plasma display panel should provide alternating high voltage pulses to ignite plasma and recover the energy discharged from the intrinsic capacitance between the scanning and sustaining electrodes inside the panel. In this paper, an efficient sustain circuit employing boost-up function is proposed to achieve a faster rise-time in order to be suitable to widely used the address display period separated (ADS) driving method. The proposed circuit improves the recovery efficiency, regardless of the variation of the panel capacitance. The principle of operation, features, and simulated results are illustrated and verified on a 7.5-inch diagonal panel at 200 [kHz] operating frequency based on experimental prototype.

  • 본 연구는 TMED 방식 병렬형 하이브리드 차량을 이용하여 회생제동 회수율 및 연비 특성 실험에 대한 것이다. 회생제동 기술은 하이브리드 차량의 에너지 효율 향상을 위해 필수적인 기술로 판단되어 연구를 수행하였다. 따라서 병렬형 하이브리드 차량과 Eddy Current 방식의 차대동력계를 통해 IM240 모드 실험 시 초기 SOC 상태, 주행 모드 특성, 운전자의 운전특성에 따른 연비 특성을 회생 제동 측면에서 전류 특성 및 전류수지에 대한 비교 분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구결과, 초기 SOC 상태가 낮을수록 하이브리드 차량의 엔진 작동 시간이 증가 하고 에너지 효율이 낮아지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 주행 모드 특성, 운전자의 운전 특성에 따른 연비 특성 실험 결과 평균 연비 차이는 크게 나지 않았지만, 최종 SOC 상태에 따라서 모드 종료 후 엔진 작동 유무의 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, we proposed a fuzzy-neuro controller to control the speed of wound rotor induction motor with slip energy recovery. The speed is limited at some range of sub-synchronous speed of the rotating magnetic field. Control speed by adjusting resistance value in the rotor circuit that occurs the efficiency of power are reduced, because of the slip energy is lost when it passes through the rotor resistance. The control system is designed to maintain efficiency of motor. Recently, the emergence of artificial neural networks has made it conductive to integrate fuzzy controllers and neural models for the development of fuzzy control systems, Fuzzy-neuro controller has been designed by integrating two neural network models with a basic fuzzy logic controller. Using the back propagation algorithm, the first neural network is trained as a plant emulator and the second neural network is used as a compensator for the basic fuzzy controller to improve its performance on-line. The function of the neural network plant emulator is to provide the correct error signal at the output of the neural fuzzy compensator without the need for any mathematical modeling of the plant. The difficulty of fine-tuning the scale factors and formulating the correct control rules in a basic fuzzy controller may be reduced using the proposed scheme. The scheme is applied to the control speed of a wound rotor induction motor process. The control system is designed to maintain efficiency of motor and compensate power factor of system. That is: the proposed controller gives the controlled system by keeping the speed constant and the good transient response without overshoot can be obtained.

에너지 절감형 항온항습기 운전 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on the energy-saving constant temperature and humidity machine operating characteristics)

  • 본 연구에서 적용한 열회복 방식은 적은 동력사용으로 최대의 냉각능력을 낼 수 있는 에너지 절약형이다. 항온항습기의 온습도를 보다 정밀 한 제어 기능을 갖도록 하기 위해 제어 알고리즘은 퍼지 PID 제어기를 설계하여 적용하였고, 외기보상장치(공냉식)를 갖추어 동절기에 $-20^{\circ}C$에서도 우수한 제습능력을 발휘하게 하였다. 고효율, 저소음형 시로코 팬을 채용하여 정숙운전이 되며 장비특성에 따라 상향식과 하향식에 맞도록 설계하였다. 실험한 결과 변환 효율은 95%이상, 정전복귀는 5sec 이내, 정지지연은 30sec 이내, 펌프다운은 10sec, 펌프지연은 5sec, 히팅지연은 5sec, 온도편차는 ${\pm}2^{\circ}C$(냉방편차: $2^{\circ}C$, 난방 편차: $2^{\circ}C$), 습도편차는 ${\pm}5%$(가습편차 3.0%, 제습편차 3.0%)을 갖게 하였다. 최근 유비쿼터스 기술이 중요시 되고 있기에 핸드폰을 통해 항온항습기를 원격 제어 할 수 있도록 하였고, MMI 소프트웨어와 자동 인터페이스를 지원하여 확장성이 뛰어나게 하였다. 또한 지능형 컨트롤러 고장진단에 의한 부품 및 장비의 수명이 연장 되도록 하였다.

A7003 알루미늄 합금 압출공정의 MLCA 산정기술 (Material Life Cycle Assessment of Extrusion Process of A7003)

  • A7003 alloy has characteristics of their excellent weldability, high corrosion resistance and superior plastic working however the broadening of application for the alloy has been hampered by the lower extrudability associated by Mg content. For improvement of extrudability and enhanced recovery efficiency during Al scrap recyeling, it has been generally practiced to reduce Mg content in A7003 alloy. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the influence of Mg content on mechanical strength and extrudability of A7003 alloy. For efficient material processing which has small amounts, life cycle assessment in material processing(MLCA) is evaluated. The quantitative analysis of energy requirements and $CO_2$ emission for production of A7003 extruded bar are estimated with different Mg content and billet pre-heating process (heating source by light oil or LPG). In particular, the estimation of energy requirements was performed within shipping and gating range (except the mining and extraction stages)to investigate the influence of the variables on energy requirements and $CO_2$ emission in detail. As Mg content increased, the flow stress and the extrusion pressure for A7003 alloy increased. It has been thought that an increment in extrusion pressure with increasing Mg content is caused by the solid solution hardening of Mg atoms in the matrix and increment in volume fraction of intermetallic compound, $Mg_2Si$. The extrudability and the tensile strength are equal to, or above that of conventional A 7003 alloy even the content of Mg varied from $1.1wt.\%\;to\;0.5wt.\%$ alloy. This means that minimizing the content of Mg in A7003 alloy can enhance recovery efficiency during Al scrap recycling. It can be quoted that rather than Mg content energy source for billet heating is a prime factor to determine the atmospheric $CO_2$ emission.

재활용성 폐기물의 처리흐름 분석을 통한 자원순환성 평가 (Assessment of the Recycling of Resource Efficiency through investigating Treatment Flow of the Recyclables)

  • 본 연구는 생활계폐기물 중 별도로 분리 배출되어 재활용 선별장으로 반입된 재활용 폐기물에 대한 수집운반에서부터 최종처리까지의 흐름을 분석하였다. 연구는 실제 현장조사를 기본으로 실시하였으며, 조사 결과, 최종 재활용 측면에서는 대체적으로는 적정 처리가 이루어지는 것으로 파악 되었으나, 불필요한 이동 및 중간처리 경로를 통해 처리되는 품목이 상당수 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 지자체에서 선별된 폐자원을 처리 또는 수집운반 하는 업체들은 오로지 경제성 원리에 입각한 폐기물 처리비와 운반비 차익을 주요 수익원으로 하기 때문에 불필요한 중간단계 및 장거리 폐기물 이동현상이 나타나게 된다. 따라서 합리적인 자원순환망 구축을 위한 첫 번째 단계는 폐기물 발생원의 근거리에 있는 재활용업체에서의 우선처리원칙이 필요하며, 필요에 따라 인근 지역의 폐기물을 동시에 처리 할 수 있는 광역처리체계 도입이 타당하다.
