1kW급 가정용 연료전지 시스템 실증 연구 (Development of 1kW Class PEFC System for Residential Applications)

  • HYOSUNG manufactured and tested 1kw class PEFC systems to generate electrical and thermal energy for each residential usage. In particular, HYOSUNG developed Power conditioning system that performs about 91% electrical conversion ratio specified in 1kW class PEFC systems. Prior to system integration, we tested each performances of components to derive control issues from it. In addition, we have been developing the adequate simulator to describe and predict system performance. In this paper, we verified HYOSUNG's 1kW class PEFC systems are valid for residential energy sureces by testing the characteristics of systems and performances of main component.

  • Korea Water Resource Corporation is planning the active application on the New-Renewable energy enterprise at Si-Wha region which is located in Kyonggi-Do, builded up as the national policy enterprise and also currently carrying out a tidal electric power station construction. This research is considered of geography circumstance of the region. We are to analyze a wind power resources application feasibility in the side of economical efficiency and see simultaneously application of the wind power system also.

  • Many domestic organizations are pushing ahead with small hydropower business to develop a renewable energy. In addition each organization gradually spreads small hydropower business with searching the best site for it. And KOWACO(Korea Waters Resources Corporation) answers a purpose of the government policy to spread the wide use of a renewable energy. This study explains the researching programs for the best development sites for small hydropower generation with using water pipes managed and controled by KOWACO.

  • The transition to renewable energy, especially the expansion of photovoltaic (PV) generation, has become a global megatrend that can no longer be reserved. However, since the site for PV is limited, it is necessary to use the land efficiently. As an alternative, the concept of utility scale agricultural PV(UAPV) is a technology that continues farming in the lower part and installs PV in the upper part of farmland to efficiently use the land. Therefore, for UAPV, the growth of crops in the lower part and the optimal operation of PV in the upper part are important. In this, we analyze the characteristics of the upper PV generation system in the UAPV based on the empirical results under various conditions, and propose future research directions of the UAPV.

  • Power generated from renewable energy has continuously increased recently. As the distributed generation begins to interconnect in the distribution system, an accurate generation forecasting has become important in efficient distribution planning. This paper explained method and current state of distributed power generation forecasting models. This paper presented selecting input and output variables for the forecasting model. In addition, this paper analyzed input variables and forecasting models that can use as mid-to long-term distributed power generation forecasting.

  • Effects of operating variables on temperature profile and performance of 3 MWth chemical looping combustion system were estimated by mass and energy balance analysis based on configuration and dimension of the system determined by design tool. Air reactor gas velocity, fuel reactor gas velocity, solid circulation rate, and solid input percentage to fluidized bed heat exchanger were considered as representative operating variables. Overall heat output and oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas from the air reactor increased but temperature difference decreased as air reactor gas velocity increased. Overall heat output, required solid circulation rate, and temperature difference increased as fuel reactor gas velocity increased. However, overall heat output and temperature difference decreased as solid circulation rate increased. Temperature difference decreased as solid circulation rate through the fluidized bed heat exchanger increased. Effect of each variables on temperature profile and performance can be determined and these results will be helpful to determine operating range of each variable.

  • The increase of exhaust gas which is caused by with the industry activity which follows in the Industrial Revolution of the human being has had an influence on the globe climate system so that causes the problem of the greenhouse effect. As a comprehensive countermeasures, it has been prompted to save energy, build a structure environmentally friendly and use renewable energy sources that are continually replenished by nature-the sun, the wind, the Earth's heat, and plants. In addition, new technologies that turn these fuels into usable forms of energy-most often electricity, but also heat, chemicals or mechanical power have been applied actively to the social infrastructure. Therefore, there should be methods to manage forms of renewable energy effectively and securely. This paper proposes the web-based monitoring system for the wind power system of these methods and introduces the real web-based monitoring system installed in Daegwallyeong.

  • 자동차 촉매인 Pd/cordierite 촉매상에서 메탄의 연소시험을 통하여 천연가스 이용기술 활용가능성에 대해서 고찰하였다. 중고온 연소에서 알맞은 비표면적 18.7$m^2$/g 을 갖으며 안정한 구조를 확인하였다. 메탄 연소 반응시 활성화에너지는 19.2 kcal/mol로써 비교적 우수한 활성을 보여주었으며, 메탄 연소 반응의 승온과 온도를 내리면서 촉매의 비활성 특성을 보여주는 활성 히스테리시스 현상을 관찰하였다. Pd/cordierite 촉매상에서 반응온도 $700^{\circ}C$이하에서 공간속도와 공연비를 변화시키면서 메탄 연소특성을 수행하였다.

  • Hydrogen will be a future eco-friendly energy source that can replace current fossil fuels However when hydrogen gas leaks and people inhale a lot of hydrogen gases, they can have fatal effects fell into comas. Therefore, we need to develop a safety technology and related guidelines for reducing risks of hydrogen leakage. In this regard, we carried out demonstration tests assuming a situation of hydrogen leakage. Before the experiments, we analyze the standards for governor facilities to check vent positions and sensor positions. Then, we select four types of ventilation structures and proceeds with the experiments of hydrogen leakage at 1 LPM and 1.5 LPM. Based on the experimental results, we propose the direction on optimization of vent positions and sensor positions in the hydrogen leakage situation.

  • According to the "hydrogen economy roadmap" announced recently by the government, fuel cell electric vehicle diffusion and hydrogen refueling station construction are actively being carried out to prepare for the hydrogen economy era. The station will be expanded by introducing various charging station models such as hydrogen complex charging station, package, and mobile. Accordingly, the study on the safety demonstration of the charging station and related regulations should be compromised. The purpose of this study is to collect monitoring data during charging according to the distinct four seasons in Korea, and to use it as safety demonstration data by analyzing the charging status, charging rate and charging time during charging.
