This study intends to analyze the general printed encyclopedia published and circulated in Korea. The main purpose it is to offer extensive information helping users or librarians to select superior encyclopedia. 4 printed encyclopedia published and circulated in Korea since 1993 are selected for this purpose And they are analyzed on the basis of 6 evaluation standards (purpose & scope, authority, accessibility, clarity & readability, format and special features & cost). Especially, 4 printed encyclopedia among the best American encyclopedia having long history were also co-analyzed to certificate the validity of the evaluative standards.

급변하는 정보 환경에서 검색 포탈들의 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해서는 우수한 백과사전 서비스를 확보하여 이용자에게 제공하는 것이 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 주요 검색 포탈들인 네이버, 다음, 야후, 엠파스의 백과사전 서비스를 결과의 적합성, 최신성, 멀티미디어 제공 측면에서 분석, 평가하였다. 평가 기준별로 세부적인 평가 항목과 평가방법론을 제시하였다. 백과사전 서비스 평가 시 본 연구에서는 실제 이용자들이 입력한 실제 질의들을 활용하였다. 또한 본 연구에서는 포탈별 백과사전 기능의 특징을 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 웹 기반 백과사전 서비스의 개선에 활용되고 이용자가 우수한 웹 기반 백과사전을 선택하는데 참고자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

"한국향토문화전자대전(www.grandculture.net)"은 전국 234개 시군구의 향토문화 자료를 집대성하고 이를 디지털화하여 서비스하는 웹기반의 지식정보시스템이다. 백과사전적 성격과 향토지, 시군지의 성격을 지향하고 있는 향문전은 자신이 사는 지역의 향토문화지식정보와 인간이 어떻게 상호작용할 수 있는가를 보여주는 하나의 사례이다. 디지털전자백과사전인 향문전은 지역의 역사와 문화를 어떻게 담아내고 서비스 하고 있는가? 본 글은 순환형 시스템에 기반한 향토지식 문화콘텐츠의 서비스 현황과 효과에 대한분석이 될 것이다.

'평가(appraisal)'는 기록관리의 핵심 영역이다. 이 연구는 기록학 분야의 대표적인 백과사전인 『Encyclopedia of Archival Science』을 중심으로 기록평가의 지식구조를 파악하고, 관련 대역어들의 적절성을 분석하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 먼저 이 사전에 146개 표제어 중 평가 관련 표제어 34개를 추출하고, 내용분석에 기초하여 용어를 범주화하였다. 둘째, 각 범주별 표제어들을 중심으로 주요 개념과 논의의 흐름을 살펴보았다. 셋째. 각 표제어들에 대한 대역어를 제시하였으며 대역어 선정 시 고려할 점을 제안하였다. 특히 '기록평가'(records appraisal)와 '보존기록평가(archival appraisal)'를 구분하여 사용하고, 등가의 원칙에 따라 대역어를 선정할 것을 제안하였다.

증강현실은 차세대에 각광받고 있는 기술로써 카메라로 보이는 현실 공간에 3D 가상 객체를 삽입하는 기술로써 사용자와 객체간의 상호작용을 이용하여 몰입감과 흥미를 유발하여 학습효과를 최대화 할 수 있다. 최근에는 이동성과 휴대성이 뛰어난 모바일이 보편화됨으로써 모바일을 이용한 다양한 증강현실을 선보이고 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자에게 몰입감과 흥미 위주의 학습내용을 제공하기 위하여 모바일 환경에서 증강되어진 3D 어류백과 시스템을 설계하였다. 본 시스템은 어류백과 사전의 어류그림을 마커로 인식하여 서버에 저장되어진 3D 모델을 불러와서 모바일 환경에서 디스플레이 함으로 어류학습에 도움을 주고자 한다.

${\ulcorner}Gogeumdoseojipseong{\lrcorner}$, it has been compiled by Chenmenglei(1651-1723). This large encyclopedia was published in 1125 during Ohing dynasty of China in the reign of the Kangxi emperor. The medical parts of this encyclopedia was titled the name of Yibuquanlu, but it is not correct. KIOM(Korea Institute of oriental Medicine) researched the compilation and publication of the original book of this and the process of introduction to Chosun with its woodblock-printed book for making database of this book. Even more, we analyzed the structure of this book and apprehended the historical significance about medical interchange between Korea and China by this book. As the result, we found that the most part of this large encyclopedia quotedfrom ${\ulcorner}Donguibogam{\lrcorner}$ of Chosun, then it was back to Chosun and taken a part to medical books such as ${\ulcorner}Imwonkyungjaejis{\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}Uijongsonikr{\lrcorner}$.

As clearly suggested in the case of Wikipedia, collective intelligence is predicted to develop into the most important platform of knowledge and information in the future society. But it just remains at the level of activities for group projects in the present frame of education and so it doesn't lead to creating collective intelligence. This study looks into an 'information repository model of collective intelligence' that makes it possible to deliver an education process a priori of Shared Knowledge Reservoir to "Junior Digital Nomad", who is definitely and will be in existence, and that further enables them to be active there in reality. Based on this storage model, it suggests a practicable web system model; Junior Maphistory e-encyclopedia, which is appropriately consistent with the features of Web 2.0 and can grow into a general historical and geographical information service.

최근 일과 삶의 균형을 찾는 '워라밸'에 사람들의 관심을 커지면서 일에만 몰두하는 것보다 개인의 삶의 질을 더 중요하게 생각하게 되었다. 이에 따라 퇴근 후나 주말의 여가 시간에 다양한 취미 활동을 하는 사람들이 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 여가를 즐기고자 하는 사람들에게 다양한 카테고리의 취미 활동을 소개해주는 취미 백과 애플리케이션을 설계 및 개발하였다. 취미 백과 애플리케이션을 이용하면 사람들이 보다 쉽게 새롭고 다양한 취미를 접할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Authors describe here five new species and three new subspecies of Korean Iand snail fauna. They are collected from the southern part of Korea including Ullungdo and Chejudo. The generic names of these new species and subspecies were discribed in the [ Il-lustrated Encyclopedia of fauna & flora of Korea V ol.32 Mollusca(I)]. 디지털 대전환 시대를 맞이했지만 문화유적 조사 결과 생산되는 수많은 고고 디지털 원천 자료를 효율적으로 수집·관리·통합·서비스할 수 있는 활용체계, 즉 고고학술정보의 지능형 통합관리·서비스 플랫폼은 부재한 상황이다. 이와 관련하여, 현재 웹에서 PDF형태로 서비스되고 있는 한국고고학사전의 단순 전산화(Digitization) 문제와 한국고고학사전 발간 및 활용 현황 등을 통해 '한국고고학 디지털 사전 구축' 필요성을 확인하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 자료 접근의 한계와 어려움에 따른 고고학술 데이터 접근성 제고와 고품질의 지식정보 제공을 중심으로 한 '한국고고학 디지털 사전 구축'의 전반적인 방향을 제안하였다. 2001년부터 발간하고 있는 한국고고학사전의 활용 현황을 분석하여 디지털 전환의 필요성을 확인하였고, 유럽, 미국, 일본 등 국외 고고학 데이터 아카이빙 플랫폼과 국내 전문사전과 관련한 플랫폼 구축 사례를 검토하여 데이터의 체계적인 관리와 보존, 활용에 대해 살펴보았다. 이를 통해 '한국고고학 디지털 사전 구축'을 위한 실행 과제로서 전산화된 기록물에 대한 메타데이터 설계와 생산된 메타데이터 간의 관계 정보를 부여하고 보여주는 시맨틱(semantic, 의미 기반) 데이터로의 확장 등을 제안하였다. 이러한 연구를 바탕으로 향후 고고학술정보의 지능형 통합관리·서비스 플랫폼 구축과 이에 따른 한국고고학에 대한 대중의 관심과 이해를 한 단계 높일 수 있는 발판을 마련하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다.
