  • Information on isotopic composition and geometric structure is necessary for identifying a true warhead. Nevertheless, such classified information should be protected physically or electronically. With a novel Hash encryption algorithm, this paper presents a Monte Carlo-based design of a neutron activation analysis verification module. The verification module employs a thermal neutron source, a non-uniform mask (physically encrypting information about isotopic composition and geometric structure), a gamma detector array, and a Hash encryption algorithm (for electronic encryption). In the physical field, a non-uniform mask is designed to distort the characteristic gamma rays emitted by the inspected item. Furthermore, as part of the Hash algorithm, a key is introduced to encrypt the data and improve the system resolution through electronic design. In order to quantify the difference between items, Hamming distance is used, which allows data encryption and analysis simultaneously. Simulated inspections of simple objects are used to quantify system performance. It is demonstrated that the method retains superior resolution even with 1% noise level. And the performances of anti-statistical attack and anti-brute force cracking are evaluated and found to be very excellent. The verification method lays a solid foundation for nuclear disarmament verification in the upcoming era.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient encryption algorithm, without exchanging session keys of a symmetric cryptosystem. The proposed scheme, called as the FAKE(Fast Asymmetric Key Encryption), first scrambles an entire input message and then encrypts small parts of the scrambled message using an asymmetric key encryption scheme. We use the all-or-nothing transform based on the hash function as a scrambling function, which was proposed by Shin, et al. Furthermore, the proposed scheme can additionally provide a digital signature service with only small overhead.

  • MD-5 has been the hash algorithm to encrypt the user's password on Linux from the beginning. Recently the more reliable password management was demanded and SHA-512 algorithm became the hash algorithm on the recent Enterprise Linux which is more reliable than MD-5. This paper researching the characteristics of the hashing and encryption algorithms and find out about Linux User information management. Based on this analysis, and analysis of the security of the hashing algorithm is applied to the user password. In addition, analyzes the cases used hash algorithm applied to the validation of Open Source Software file, such as Apache, PHP, MySQL. Finally, by analyzing the security tool John The Ripper this paper suggests the enhanced security with the administrative management of passwords.

  • The importance of information security is increasing by the rapid development of the communication network. So, cryptosystems are used to solve these problems and securities of cryptosystems are dependent on keys. In this paper, we propose a key generation method which is based on cryptographically secure MD5 hash function. The basic structure of the MD5 hash function features is a repetitive structure which is processed in a block unit of 512 bits from inputs of limited length and generates a fixed output of 128 bits. The security of proposed method is based on the hash function and the proposed method can be also utilized for authentication algorithm or data encryption algorithm.

  • In this paper, we have developed Crypft+ as an enhanced file encryption/decryption system to improve the security of IoT system or individual document file management process. The Crypft+ system was developed as a core security module using Python, and designed and implemented a user interface using PyQt. We also implemented encryption and decryption function of important files stored in the computer system using AES based symmetric key encryption algorithm and SHA-512 based hash algorithm. In addition, Cx-Freezes module is used to convert the program as an exe-based executable code. Additionally, the manual for understanding the Cryptft+ SW is included in the internal program so that it can be downloaded directly.

  • Classes.dex, which is the executable file for android operation system, has Java bite code format, so that anyone can analyze and modify its source codes by using reverse engineering. Due to this characteristic, many android applications using classes.dex as executable file have been illegally copied and distributed, causing damage to the developers and software industry. To tackle such ill-intended behavior, this paper proposes a technique to encrypt classes.dex file using an AES(Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption algorithm and decrypts the applications encrypted in such a manner in order to prevent reverse engineering of the applications. To reinforce the file against reverse engineering attack, hash values that are obtained from substituting a hash equation through the combination of salt values, are used for the keys for encrypting and decrypting classes.dex. The experiments demonstrated that the proposed technique is effective in preventing the illegal duplication of classes.dex-based android applications and reverse engineering attack. As a result, the proposed technique can protect the source of an application and also prevent the spreading of malicious codes due to repackaging attack.

  • This is devoted to first, to propose a hash chain algorithm that generates more secure key than conventional encryption method. Secondly, we proposes encryption method that is more secure than conventional system using a encryption method that encrypts each block with each key generated by a hash chain algorithm. Thirdly, After identifying the user via wired and wireless network using a user authentication method. We propose a divided session key method so that Although a client key is disclosed, Attackers cannot catch a complete key and method to safely transfer the key using a divided key method. We make an experiment using various size of digital contents files for performance analysis after performing the design and implementation of system. Proposed system can distribute key securely than conventional system and encrypt data to prevent attacker from decrypting complete data although key may be disclosed. The encryption and decryption time that client system takes to replay video data fie is analogous to the conventional method.

  • As the IoT market continues to grow, security threats to IoT devices with limited resources are also increasing. However, the application of security technology to the existing system to IoT devices with limited resources is impossible due to the inherent characteristics of IoT devices. Various methods for solving related problems have been studied in existing studies to solve this problem. Therefore, this study analyzes the characteristics of domestic IoT authentication standards and existing research to propose an algorithm that applies blockchain-based authentication and lightweight encryption algorithms to IoT equipment with limited resources. In this study, a key generation method was applied using a Lamport hash-chain and data integrity between IoT devices were provided using a Merkle Tree, and an LEA encryption algorithm was applied using confidentiality in data communication. In the experiment, it was verified that the efficiency is high when the LEA encryption algorithm, which is a lightweight encryption algorithm, is applied to IoT devices with limited resources.

  • The whirlpool hash function adopted as an ISO / IEC standard 10118-3 by the international standardization organization is an algorithm that provides message integrity based on an SPN (Substitution Permutation Network) structure similar to AES block cipher. In this paper, we describe the hardware implementation of the Whirlpool hash function. The round block is designed with a 64-bit data path and encryption is performed over 10 rounds. To minimize area, key expansion and encryption algorithms use the same hardware. The Whirlpool hash function was modeled using Verilog HDL, and simulation was performed with ModelSim to verify normal operation.

  • There are many security problems in the electronic payment system because it is built into the open network. Security problems include both system penetrations from outside and unauthorized access by the inside. Nevertheless, the integrity of messages can be guaranteed through a transfer message with the SEED and HASH encryption algorithm. This paper demonstrates how electronic payment system messages and the information they contain can be made safeguarded using the SEED and HASH encryption algorithm, even when there may be some information loss.
