중환자 가족원의 부담감, 스트레스 및 사회적 지지 (A Study on Burden, Stress and Social Support of Family Caregivers in Intensive Care Unit Patient)

  • This study was to identify the correlation between the degree of burden, stress and social support of family caregivers in ICU patient. The subjects were 146 family care givers observed at a general hospital at D city. The level of stress that family caregivers experience the average points of 2.18, which is considered less than average. The level of burden that average point of 2.51. Points for level of subjective feeling ranged from 1.74 to 3.90. The average point of 3.03 is higher than that for objectively recognized feeling. The points for social support that average point of 3.03 for social support proves that families feel positive about the social support they are receiving. The level of stress which shows that the lower the income, the higher the stress. The effect on stress shows significance in subjective feelings of burden, social support, and employment, indicating that they have correlations with stress. Both the feeling of burden and social support have an impact upon the stress that patient families experience.

노인 당뇨병 환자의 자가간호, 가족지지, 우울 (Self-care, Family Support and Depression in Elderly Patients with Diabetes Mellitus)

  • Purpose: This study was done to investigate the degree of self-care, family support and depression, and relationship among these variables for elder with diabetes mellitus. Method: Participants were 202 diabetic patients, 65 years or over, living in Seoul, Korea. Data were collected using the self-care tool for diabetic patients by Kim (1996), the family support tool for diabetic patients by Park (1984), and Korea's BDI scale by Lee (1995). Results: Of the patients, 43.1% showed HbAlc levels than higher 7%. The highest mean score was for self-care for medication compliance, and the lowest for blood glucose testing compliance. Factors affecting self-care were employment, education, HbAlc level, diabetic self-care education and complications. Factors affecting family support were living with family, diabetic self-care education, hospitalization and complications. Factors affecting depression were gender, living with family and complications. All of these factors were significant. Patients experiencing depression were 16.8% of patients. There was a significant positive correlation between self-care and family support, and significant negative correlations between self-care and depression, and family support and depression. Conclusion: For more effective management of diabetes mellitus in elders, improvement in self-care compliance, and family support are needed.

미국 편모가계의 자녀보육비 지출에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors that Influence on Child Care Expenses of Single Mother Families in the U. S.)

  • Using the 1999 National Survey of America's Families(NSAF), this study investigated the factors that affect child care expenses and examined financial and social support of single mother families in the U. S. In this study, 4,676 single mother families with children aged twelve and under are included for the analytical sample. About half of all single mother families with children under age 12 had some amount of child care expenses in 1999. Monthly child care expenses for those who had child care expenses was an average of $255 and it accounted for about 15 percent of their family earnings. The profile of financial and social support showed that about one-quarter of single mothers received financial support for child care, one-fifth received free child care by relatives and about 40 percent received child support payments from nonresident fathers. Tobit analysis results showed that the significant factors that affected child care expenses were mother's age, marital status, educational level, employment status, the numbers of children aged 0-5, family income, the receipt of public assistance and financial support for child care.

DID와 PSM 분석을 통한 건설업 클린사업장 대상 재정지원사업 평가 (Evaluation of Accident Prevention Financial Support Projects in the Construction Industry Using DID and PSM)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to understand the impact on accident reduction by analyzing the policy effectiveness of an industrial accident prevention clean workplace support project targeting the construction industry. Methods: In this study, DID and PSM models were used to analyze workplaces receiving and not receiving financial support based on the status of industrial accidents in recent years and the status of the workplaces by year. Results: The research results show that meaningful effects continued to occur in terms of reducing accidents and increasing employment. Conclusions: In this study, we show the effectiveness of the clean workplace support project, one of the South Korean government's financial support projects in the field of occupational safety and health focusing on the construction industry. Financial support projects such as clean projects should be further expanded based on the results of this study.

외국인 유학생의 개인 특성이 한국 취업 동기에 미치는 영향 분석: TOPIK과 유학동기, 전공만족도 중심으로 (The Study on the Relationship between Personal Characteristics of Foreign Students and Motivation of Korea Employment: Focus on TOPIK, Motivation to Study in Korea, and Major Satisfaction)

  • 본 논문은 한국으로 유학 온 외국인 학생들의 성별, 국가별 및 전공 등 개인 특성과 유학동기, 전공 만족도, 한국어 능력 등급이 취업 동기에 미치는 영향을 분석한 연구이다. 이를 위해 먼저 유학생들의 취업동기와 진로선택에 관여되는 영향을 보다 체계적으로 이해하기 위해서 요인들의 현황을 분석하고, 유학생활 4년과 졸업 후 국내 인재 활용을 촉진하기 위해, 학교나 정부의 유학생 전공과 취업 및 창업을 위한 교육 관리, 정책 지원 사항을 위한 요인분석 기초 자료 활용이 논문의 목적이다. 자료 분석 방법을 위해 IBM SPSS Statistics 24 Version을 이용하였다. 분석 결과, 취업동기에서는 일본, 중국 보다 동남아시아, 중앙아시아, 남북미 아프리카의 학생들의 평균이 높았다. 변수들 간의 결과를 보면 첫째, 유학동기와 TOPIK 간의 영향 관계는 외적 유학동기가 한국어 습득의 정(+)의 영향을 주었다. 둘째, 유학동기와 전공만족도 관계에서는 유학의 내적동기가 높아질수록 전공만족도 등급이 높아지는 것으로 평가 되었다. 셋째, 유학동기와 취업동기의 관계에서는 내적 유학동기가 취업동기에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났는데 즉 내적동기가 높아질수록 취업동기 등급이 높아지는 것으로 평가 되었다. 넷째, 전공만족도와 취업동기간의 관계를 보면 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 관계 전공만족도가 높아질수록 취업 동기는 높아지는 것으로 평가 되었다. 다섯째, TOPIK은 취업동기에 유의한 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 여섯째, 유학 내적 동기가 취업 동기에 영향을 미칠 때 매개변수인 전공 만족도가 높아질수록 취업 동기도 높아지는 것으로 나왔다. 결국 외적 유학동기가 TOPIK에 내적 유학동기가 전공만족도와 취업 동기에 긍정적 영향을 주는 주된 요인임을 확인하였다. 따라서 유학생들의 유학 동기와 전공만족에 관한 관계를 정확히 파악하여, 유학 초기부터 유학생을 위한 진로와 취업을 지원하는 대학과 정부의 교육 정책 방안 및 유학생 인재 육성에 관한 변인 자료로 활용되는데 기여할 것이다.

ICT 활용과 서비스산업 일자리창출 관계 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between ICT Usage and Job Creation in Service Industries)

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between job creation and ICT usage in service industries. This research is particularly important because job creation is one of the most critical issues for the country. With technology innovation and system integration, manufacturing industries do not create enough employment, therefore, the society relies on service industries for creating job opportunities. Until now, due to limitations, analysis of job creation in service industries through ICT usage has not been investigated in depth. Thus, development of an effective ICT support policy was impossible. In this research, we used seven methods to investigate overall relationship between ICT usage level and job creation. A rule of large numbers has been applied to reach conclusion. Through this research, the government can focus its investment on service industries where job creation rate is the highest. We can expect both reinforcement in competitiveness of our service industry and continuous creation in employment, eventually leading to a virtuous cycle.

보건소 영유아 영양사업 실태와 보건소 종사자와 영유아모의 영양사업 요구도 (Status and Needs for Nutrition Services for Infants and Preschoolers among Public Health Center Workers and Infants Mothers)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the present status of nutrition services for infants in public health centers and the need for nutrition services of health workers and infants mothers. The study subjects were 146 health workers and 197 infants mothers. The results were as follows : At present, the only major nutrition services for infants were vaccination and dental care. Proper nutrition management services were available to infants. Nutrition knowledge scores were 16.8 for health workers and 15.3 for mothers out of 20 possible points. Health workers strongly demanded a well-organized nutrition education program, government support, audio-visual materials and the employment of a community nutritionist. The public health workers, in particular, demanded the development of education programs for breastfeeding and weaning. The infants mothers demanded services of nutrition information and teaching of cooking and menu planning. Based on this, the results suggest that the employment of a community nutritionist and the development of practical nutrition service programs for infants are needed very urgently for public health centers.

  • This study investigates whether the efforts of infusing managerial ideologies or organizational visions affect service quality and organizational effectiveness for emotional workers. Data for the empirical analysis were collected from employees (doctors, nurses, and so on) in 14 hospitals on a national scale. The results indicate that ideological infusion efforts have a significant and positive effect on service quality, job involvement, and organizational attachment. Interestingly, the effect of these efforts is greater than the effects of other employment conditions like wage, employment security, and social support.

  • As IT industries importance for economic growth, export and the promotion of employment increases, forecasting and analysing development direction in the IT industry & the meaning of the national economy is more important than ever. This study will contribute to policy making in IT industry through improving comprehension of IT and understanding development trend of the new fields of IT industry. Moreover, It will be helpful to formulating the various support programs for the IT industry. In this situation, this study has importance in the side of taking a triangular position in policy direction based on the future of IT industry.

일하는 어머니의 취업특성에 따른 부모역할만족 (Parental Satisfaction and Employment Characteristics of Working Mother)

  • The purpose of this study was (1) to explore the difference in parental satisfaction regarding personal/family, work, and psychological variables of employment characteristics, and (2) to investigate the most effecting variables on the parental satisfaction. For this study, the working mother with children aged under 10 year were surveyed. The results of this study were as follow; (1) There were significant differences in the parental satisfaction according to work time, job preference, income, the difficulty of work life. However, working mother's personal and family variable were not found as the related variable. Psychological variables were correlated with parental satisfaction. (2) Maternal role efficiency, dual role conflict, flexibility of work, marriage year, income, psychological stress, expanded family, durations of occupation, spouse support significantly predicted parental satisfaction. Psychological variables were important in parental satisfaction of working mothers.
