초등학생들의 사회·정서적 능력 함양을 위한 이론적 토대 연구 (A theoretical foundation study for the promotion of a social and emotional competencies of children)

  • 이 논문의 목적은 "초등학생들의 사회 정서적 능력 함양을 위한 인성교육의 통합적 방안 연구"의 이론적 토대를 세우는 것에 있다. 본 연구는 초등교육의 핵심 목표 중의 하나인 초등학생들의 "바르고 선한 인성(character)"을 어떻게 하면 보다 효과적으로 함양할 것인가?의 물음에 답하기 위해, 사회 정서적 학습(the social and emotional learning, 이하 SEL로 약칭) 이론에 근거하여 그 해답의 실마리를 찾고, 인성교육의 통합적 접근을 통해 궁극적으로 초등학생들의 사회 정서적 능력 함양을 위한 프로그램을 구안하여 초등현장에 적용하고자 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 본 논문에서는 정서 지능이 무엇이며, 정서 지능과 관련된 여러 이론들의 공통점과 차이점을 비교해 보았다. 왜냐하면 본 연구가 기반으로 삼고 있는 사회 정서적 학습은 바로 정서 지능에 대한 핵심 아이디어에서 출발하기 때문이다. 이어 개인의 일상생활에서 비롯되는 사회적이고 정서적인 현상을 이해하고 조직하며 표현하는 능력으로서 사회 정서적 능력의 주요 구성 요소인 자기인식, 자기관리, 사회적 인식, 대인관계 기술, 책임있는 의사결정에 대해 살펴보았고, 미국에서 SEL 프로그램이 구체적으로 어떤 효과를 가져왔는지를 분석해 보았다. 다음으로 사회 정서적 학습과 정서 능력 혹은 정서 지능은 어떤 관계에 있는지, SEL과 인성교육은 어떤 관계있는지를 살펴보았으며, 특히 SEL 프로그램의 활용에 있어 인성교육이 주는 시사점도 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 SEL 프로그램을 우리의 초등학생을 위한 통합적 인성교육의 프로그램에 적용할 때 유의해야 할 일반적 원리에 대해 살펴보았다.

요양보호사의 폭력 경험, 감정노동이 우울에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Workplace Violence Experience and Emotional Labor on Depression among Caregivers)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the influence of workplace violence experience and emotional labor on depression among caregivers. Methods: Data were collected from 227 caregivers working in long-term care institutions from August 20 to October 31, 2021. Workplace violence experience, emotional labor, and depression were measured using developed structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Results: Among the participants, 14.5% complained of minor or severe depression. There was a significant difference in the degree of depression depending on whether caregivers experienced unfair situations from the organizations they belonged to. Emotional labor was identified as a major factor influencing depression by regression analysis. Conclusion: A campaign to improve social awareness to prevent caregivers' emotional labor experience leading to depression should be strengthened. Furthermore, it is necessary to develop an emotional capacity building intervention program to effectively cope with caregivers' emotional labor and depression.

교사의 감성적 리더십의 실제와 정책적 시사점 (Teacher's Emotional Leadership Practices and Policy Implication)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 담임교사의 감성적 리더십이 학생의 자기주도적 학습과 학교생활만족도에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 교육정책적 시사점을 도출하는데 있었다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 연변지역 3개 고등학교 605명의 학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 주요한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 담임교사의 감성적 리더십은 학생의 자기주도적 학습에 영향을 주는 중요한 변수가 된다. 둘째, 담임교사의 감성적 리더십 가운데 사회적 요인보다 개인요인인 자기인식능력과 자기관리능력이 학생의 학교생활만족도에 더 많은 영향을 미치고 있다. 셋째, 담임교사는 먼저 학생들의 학교생활만족도에 초점을 두어야 하고 학교생활만족도를 향상시킴으로써 학생의 자기주도적 학습을 제고시켜야 한다. 향후연구에서는 교사의 감성적 리더십이 영향을 주는 다양한 변인들을 포함하여 정책적 시사점을 모색할 필요가 있다.

일부 치과위생사의 생활만족도, 노후에 대한 인식 및 노후준비와의 관련성 (Relationship between life satisfaction, awareness of old age and preparation for old age of dental hygienists)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between life satisfaction, awareness of their old age, and preparation for their old age among dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 258 dental hygienists in Seoul, Gyeonggido, Incheon and Gangwondo from September 30 to October 30, 2016. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics (10 items), life satisfaction (10 items), awareness of old age (13 items) and preparation for old age (23 items). Respondents were asked to choose on the Likert 5-point scale. Results:Significant relationships were found between life satisfaction, awareness about old age and preparation for old age among dental hygienists (p<0.01): physical preparation for old age was related to life satisfaction; economic preparation for old age was related to life satisfaction, awareness for old age, 10 or more years of experience as dental hygienist and having offspring (two or more children). Psycho-emotional preparation for old age was related to life satisfaction and awareness for old age. Conclusions:It is necessary to find ways to increase life satisfaction and awareness of old age for their old age among dental hygienists.

예비 치과위생사의 아동학대 인식 및 신고 의무태도에 관한 연구 (A study on prospective dental hygiene students awareness of child abuse and attitudes towards mandatory reporting)

  • Objectives: To confirm the awareness of child abuse and attitudes toward mandatory reporting among dental hygiene students in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions. Methods: The level of awareness of child abuse according to general characteristics, attitudes toward reporting obligation, and awareness of the mandatory reporting system were analyzed using t-test or one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) analysis, and correlation was analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: Awareness of child abuse was 3.76, 3.68, 3.67, and 3.18 points for neglect, sexual abuse, physical, and emotional abuse, respectively. The attitude toward reporting obligation were 3.60 and 2.62 points for positive and negative reporting attitudes, respectively. Regarding awareness of child abuse, a significant positive correlation was observed between positive reporting attitude (r=0.326, p<0.01) and awareness of mandatory reporting system (r=0.272, p<0.01). Conclusions: To increase the reporting rate among dental hygienists, awareness should be improved starting from the undergraduate level, perceptions of prospective dental hygienists should be reflected in the development and direction of educational programs, and it is necessary to increase accessibility to educational opportunities and continuously seek institutional and policy measures.

부모와 교사의 평정에 기반한 학생정서·행동특성검사에 대한 인식 조사 (Awareness of Students' Emotional and Behavioral Screening Test based on Parental and Teacher Ratings)

  • Objectives: Since 2013, the Students' Emotional and Behavioral Screening Test (SEBT) has been conducted annually for 1st grade and 4th grade elementary school students, 1st year middle school students, and 1st year high school students. The SEBT has been considered to have effectiveness and strength for screening high risk students who have a strong possibility of harboring emotional or behavioral problems in school. Therefore, in this study, we conducted an investigation into the awareness of the SEBT based on the rating score of the parents and teachers to determine its future direction and management. Methods: A total of 731 parents and 149 teachers participated in this study. Each participant completed a self-administered questionnaire on their awareness of the SEBT. Results: 428 (58.5%) parents and 99 (66.4%) teachers rated their overall satisfaction at more than 4 points out of a total of 5 points. The test reliability was rated at more than 4 points out of a total of 5 points by 52.1% of the parents (n=381) and 47.7% of the teachers (n=71). Conclusion: Both parents and teachers consider the SEBT to be highly satisfactory and reliable.

임상간호사의 포커싱적 태도와 감정노동이 간호업무성과에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Focusing Manner and Emotional Labor on Nursing Performance of Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: Focusing manner is very powerful mind-body self-help and self-awareness competence. So focusing manner may affect nurses' emotional labor and nursing performance, but few are known about it to date. The purpose of this study was to identify the degree of focusing manner, emotional labor, nursing performance of clinical nurses, and the factors that affect nursing performance. Methods: In order to collect data, structured questionnaires were administered to 212 nurses who worked at 2 university hospitals located in D city. Data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, correlation and multiple regression using SPSS/WIN 20.0. Results: Nursing performance had positive relationship with focusing manner (r=.45, p<.001), and negative relationship with emotional labor (r=-.25, p<.001). And the most prediction factor influencing nursing performance was focusing manner (${\beta}=.41$, p<.001) and the other factors were age (${\beta}=.30$, p=.002), and emotional labor (${\beta}=.14$, p=.012). The total variance was 37.1% by those predictors (F=25.87, p<.001). Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop and educational program on focusing manner-oriented psychotherapy in order to improve the nursing performance. Also, the management system for controlling emotional labor needs to be set up for nurses in clinical settings.

한부모 가족 아동의 사회·정서적 유능성 발달 : 동거 부모와 주 양육자와의 영향 (Social-emotional Competence of Children in Single-parent Families : Effects of Primary Caregiving by Single Parents Alone Compared with Primary Caregiving by a Non-parent)

  • This research studied the social-emotional competence of children whose primary caregiver was a single-mother or single-father alone compared with children living with a single-parent but the primary caregiver was a non-parent (e.g. a grandparent). Subjects were 208 children (105 boys, 103 girls) from 10 elementary schools in 3 metropolitan cities. Instruments were the Adaptive Behavior Checklist constructed by the researcher, Self-esteem Inventory (Kim, 1987) and Emotional Competence Scale (Kim, 1998). Results showed that children in single-mother families were more social-emotionally competent than children in single-father families. Children whose primary caregivers were non-parents had higher self-esteem than children whose primary caregivers were single parents alone. There were interaction effects of caregiver variables on children's peer relationships and awareness/expression of their own emotion.

공과대학생의 대인관계문제, 정서인식명확성, 공감능력 탐색 (Exploration on Interpersonal Problems, Emotional Clarity, and Empathic Ability in Engineering Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore characteristics of engineering students' Interpersonal Problems, Emotional Clarity, and Empathic Ability compared with humanities and social sciences students. A total of 739 college students participated in the study (459 enginerring students and 280 humanities and social sciences students). We tested research question by employing the t-test. The result showed that engineering students have higher level of clarity of feelings, perspective taking, empathic concern and lower level of attention to feelings, personal distress than humanities and social sciences students. Moreover, engineering students showed lower level of cold, socially avoidant, exploitable problems than humanities and social sciences students. We dicussed that programs aiming at developing engineering students' emotional awareness and improving their interpersonal relationships should be provided.
