실제 교실 환경과 반복 훈련을 제공하는 가상 환경 기반 시뮬레이션을 교사교육에 활용하는 데 상당한 관심이 집중되고 있다. 시뮬레이션 학습환경이 더욱 정교하게 학습에 적용되기 위해서는 감정적 상호작용을 고려할 필요가 있다. 감성은 창의적 사고, 영감, 집중력, 학습동기에 중요한 요소이기 학습자와의 정서적 상호작용을 파악하고 이를 교수 시뮬레이션에 적용하는 것은 필요한 활동이다. 본 연구는 학습자의 EEG(Electroencephalogram)와 시선추적을 통해 공감적 반응을 위한 객관적인 데이터를 확인하고, 감성교수 시뮬레이션 설계를 위한 단서를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구의 결과는 의도된 공감적 반응이 제공되었고, 상황적 감성이 학습자의 정서 반응을 결정하는 데 중요한 역할을 하고 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 정교한 감정을 표현할 수 있는 아바타의 개발 및 감정적 반응을 일으키는 상황에 적합한 시나리오의 개발이라는 측면에서 교사교육 시뮬레이션의 설계에 시사점을 갖는다.

The purpose of this study is to establish how main characters' mental states are expressed through costumes and makeup by understanding and analyzing the relationship between the costumes and the makeup in the movie "Anna Karenina" and to compare the 19th century Russian costumes. The study methods are a literature review and an empirical case study. The results are as follows. First, the costumes in "Anna Karenina" are a mixture of late crinoline and early bustle style in general. However, the costumes were altered after the actress's movements and acting were considered. Regarding colors, Anna wears a lavender robe as the virtuous wife, a wine-colored robe for love and death, and a white robe for innocence, thus reflecting her mental states; through the colors, her changes of mental state are expressed. Second, the costumes of Alexei Vronsky, are similar in style and colors to those of mid-late 19th century Russian military uniforms. White, blue and black costume colors are used to describe his situations and emotional changes. Third, Alexei Karenin wears 19th century costumes of dark and achromatic colors without decorations, representing his conservative, authoritative character. However, he showshis rage with a wine and red-colored costume at the end of the movie. Fourth, regarding the makeup in the movie, Anna wears makeup of a soft pink-gold color influenced by 19th century naturalism. Male characters express their characteristics with their beards and hair styles. Vronsky's Hollywood mustaches and wavy blonde hair show his charm, and Karenin's chin curtain beard and bald head reveal his conservative character. The costumes of the three main characters in the movie are not very different from 19th century style in general, but mental states and situations are expressed through accessories, and colors maximize all of the effects. Through this research, it is illustrated that the costumes and makeup in a movie can not only express characters' emotional changes but also show the relationships between the characters in different scenes.

미래에는 로봇이 사람의 감정 상태를 이해하거나 적절하게 자신의 행동을 표현하는 기능은 중요해 질 것이다. 사람간의 교류에서 메세지의 93%가 행동 표현에 있으며, 바디 랭귀지는 감정의 양을 표현하므로 행동 표현은 중요한 감정 표현 수단이다. 최근의 로봇들은 얼굴, 제스처, LED, 소리 등의 복합적 방법을 이용하여 사람과 교류하고 있지만 포즈는 위치와 방위, 얼굴이나 제스처는 속도, 말이나 색 풍은 시간에 대한 정보가 필요하기 때문에 하나의 모델로 통합하거나 동기화 시키기 어렵다. 한편 작은 세기의 감정에서, 얼굴은 쉽게 표현이 가능하지만 제스처는 표현이 힘들다. 또한 기존의 감정 경계는 같은 형태와 크기를 가지거나, HHI 분야에 국한되어 연구되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 정서 공간에서 감정의 경계를 어떻게 정의할 것이며, 복합적 표현 방법을 시스템적으로 어떻게 동기화할 수 있을지를 제안한다.

본 연구에서는 동영상 자극과 정지 영상 자극을 사용하여 얼굴 표정의 영역(얼굴 전체/눈 영역/입 영역)에 따른 정서 상태 전달 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 동영상 자극은 7초 동안 제시되었으며, 실험 1에서는 12개의 기본 정서에 대한 얼굴 표정 제시 유형과 제시 영역에 따른 정서 인식 효과를, 실험 2에서는 12개의 복합 정서에 대한 얼굴 표정 제시 유형과 제시 영역에 따른 정서 인식 효과를 살펴보았다. 실험 결과, 동영상 조건이 정지 영상 조건보다 더 높은 정서 인식 효과를 보였으며, 입 영역과 비교하였을 때 동영상에서의 눈 영역이 정지 영상 보다 더 큰 효과를 보여 눈의 움직임이 정서 인식에 중요할 것임을 시사하였다. 이는 기본 정서 뿐 아니라 복합 정서에서도 어느 정도 관찰될 수 있는 결과였다. 그럼에도 불구하고 정서의 종류에 따라 동영상의 효과가 달라질 수 있기 때문에 개별 정서별 분석이 필요하며, 또한, 얼굴의 특정 영역에 따라서도 상대적으로 잘 나타나는 정서 특성이 다를 수 있음을 사사해 준다.

본 연구에서는 얼굴표정을 통하여 다른 사람의 정서 상태를 판단하는 능력이 연령(3세, 5세, 대학생), 성별(남, 여), 얼굴제시영역(얼굴전체, 눈), 정서의 종류(기본정서, 복합정서)에 따라 어떻게 다른지 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 얼굴표정과 정서어휘 간의 연결이 비교적 분명하게 나타나는 32개의 정서 상태를 자극으로 사용하였으며, 표정사진은 32개의 정서 상태에 해당하는 얼굴표정을 배우에게 연기하도록 하여 사용하였다. 과제는 각 실험참가자에게 정서유발 상황에 대한 이야기를 들려주고 이야기 속의 주인공이 어떤 얼굴표정을 할 것인지를 판단하게 한 후 네 개의 얼굴표정 중에 적절한 것을 선택하도록 한 것이었다. 그 결과 연령이 증가함에 따라 얼굴표정을 판단하는 능력이 증가하였으며, 눈만 제시한 경우보다는 얼굴전체를 제시하였을 때, 복합정서보다는 기본정서에서 더 좋은 수행을 보였다. 또한 여자는 제시영역에 따른 수행의 차이가 없는 것에 반해, 남자는 눈 조건에 비해 얼굴조건의 경우에 더 좋은 수행을 보였다. 본 연구의 결과는 연령, 얼굴제시영역, 정서의 종류가 얼굴표정을 통해 타인의 정서를 판단하는데 영향을 줌을 시사한다.

This paper examines three algorithms to recognize speaker's emotion using the speech signals. Target emotions are happiness, sadness, anger, fear, boredom and neutral state. MLB(Maximum-Likeligood Bayes), NN(Nearest Neighbor) and HMM (Hidden Markov Model) algorithms are used as the pattern matching techniques. In all cases, pitch and energy are used as the features. The feature vectors for MLB and NN are composed of pitch mean, pitch standard deviation, energy mean, energy standard deviation, etc. For HMM, vectors of delta pitch with delta-delta pitch and delta energy with delta-delta energy are used. We recorded a corpus of emotional speech data and performed the subjective evaluation for the data. The subjective recognition result was 56% and was compared with the classifiers' recognition rates. MLB, NN, and HMM classifiers achieved recognition rates of 68.9%, 69.3% and 89.1% respectively, for the speaker dependent, and context-independent classification.

Psychological support is crucial in navigating one's academic and professional lives, especially for students living abroad and pursuing higher education. This study aims to explore the narratives of social support seeking in a group of Korean international graduate students in an urban university setting in the United States. Qualitative research method of narrative approach was used to examine how three Korean graduate students exchanged psychological support. Analysis of interviews, observations, and documents found that four types of social support (informational, instrumental, appraisal, and emotional) were being exchanged and that emotional support was accessible predominantly in individual meetings than in group gatherings. Additionally, the reasons for abstaining from initiating group gatherings are discussed in relation to the Korean culture where participants were mindful of not infringing on each other's time. These findings inform theory on socio psychological support seeking and its relation to cultural values and offer practical insights into psychological support in international students in higher education settings.

본 논문은 분노, 행복, 평정, 슬픔, 놀람 등과 같은 인간의 감정상태를 인식하는 새로운 접근에 대해 설명한다. 이러한 시도는 이산길이를 포함하는 연속 은닉 마르코프 모델(HMM)을 사용함으로써 이루어진다. 이를 위해, 우선 입력음성신호로부터 감정의 특징 파라메타를 정의한다. 본 연구에서는 피치 신호, 에너지, 그리고 각각의 미분계수 등의 운율 파라메타를 사용하고, HMM으로 훈련과정을 거친다. 또한, 화자적응을 위해서 최대 사후확률(MAP) 추정에 기초한 감정 모델이 이용된다. 실험 결과로서, 음성에서의 감정 인식률은 적응 샘플수의 증가에 따라 점차적으로 증가함을 보여준다.

This study aimed to understand communicative and socialization practices of immigrant bilingual families in everyday learning situations by examining interactions between parents and children in the United States. Drawn on language socialization theory and socio-cultural factors influencing immigrants, this study explored how three Korean American mothers struggled as they helped their children with homework by interviewing the mothers and observing mother-child interaction during homework time. The study paid attention to the emotional values of immigrant parents that they tried to teach their children who are members in two distinctive communities, such as Korean American and mainstream American. The findings showed that parental socialization practices had effects on children's emotional and social competence and at the same time the socialization process was bidirectional. Mothers started with Korean values, but they faced challenges with the English language, different demands for American homework, and children's rejection of their attempts. Mothers needed to change their strategy and borrow American ways of keeping emotional distance from their children by acknowledging their independence. Their struggles are discussed with attention to their language choice and culture.

사람의 의도를 인지하기 위해 감정을 시각적으로 인식하는 연구는 전통적으로 감정을 드러내는 얼굴 표정을 인식하는 데 집중해 왔다. 최근에는 감정을 드러내는 신체 언어 즉 신체 행동과 자세를 통해 감정을 나타내는 방법에서 감정 인식의 새로운 가능성을 찾고 있다. 본 연구는 신경생리학의 시각계 처리 방법을 적용한 신경모델을 구축하여 행동에서 기본 감정 의도를 인식하는 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 시각 피질의 정보 처리 모델에 따라 생물학적 체계의 신경모델 검출기를 구축하여 신체 행동의 정적 자세에서 6가지 주요 기본 감정을 판별한다. 파라미터 변화에 강건한 제안 모델의 성능은 신체행동 자세 집합을 대상으로 사람 관측자와의 평가 결과를 비교 평가하여 가능성을 제시한다.
