Though the concept emotional labor in hotel employees is very important in the theoretical and practical perspective, the extant study has not yet studied. Based on the existing literature on the effects of emotional labor, including job stress and burnout, the hypotheses were suggested and date analyses were performed to verify these hypotheses. Data gathering were performed by self-administered questionaries on the samples of 330 hotel employees in Seoul. Finding were as Following. Firstly, attentiveness to required display rules, variety of emotional display rule, emotional dissonance was positively relatively to job stress. Secondly, variety of emotional display rule, emotional dissonance was positively relatively to burnout. Thirdly, job stress was positively relatively to burnout. The result of this study will be helpful for the hotel industry which gave needs to establish the marketing strategies.

'Regardless of our consciousness, Color is the energy that we are affected by positively or negatively.' said Johannes Itten. When we see the color in nature, the color acts to our emotion most preferentially and most strongly. These experiences of color become symbol or icon to us and express states of his mind as allegory. The color of animation is the visual element of image media, the image which act as important meaning, the attribute of light, and visual-perceptional factor. With molding factor form, light and shade, the color function importantly as media which express a person and a person's circumstance. In animation, the color is used symbolically to suggest not only mental change of character but also the condition. The transmission of mental meaning express symbolism of the color iconically. Accordingly, the color for image express of animation take on universality. This study focus on how the symbolical meaning of the color is reflected in a work.

This paper presents the development of certain efficient method for expressing the emotion of an avatar based on the facial expression recognition. This new method is not changing a facial expression of the avatar manually. It can be changing a real time facial expression of the avatar based on recognition of a facial pattern which can be captured by a web cam. It provides a tool for recognizing some part of images captured by the web cam. Because of using the model-based approach, this tool recognizes the images faster than other approaches such as the template-based or the network-based. It is extracting the shape of user's lip after detecting the information of eyes by using the model-based approach. By using changes of lip's patterns, we define 6 patterns of avatar's facial expression by using 13 standard lip's patterns. Avatar changes a facial expression fast by using the pre-defined avatar with corresponding expression.

In line with the development of Media, the use of character has been developed in various ways. Specially, it has been emerged the functions of written language of visualization and delivery of emotion in the digitalized environment due to speedy growth of internet and Mobile. The emoticons emerged as a tool for the convenience of communication proved to have taken effective role in the part of communication culture. Particularly, Hangul emoticons which contains the meaning of communication and sharing in tandem with the principle of Hangul invention, provides convenience in combination & use due to its structural and design characteristic for which it plays a significant role of visual element. Hangul emoticon is definitely a part of Hangul culture and in view of globalization of visual language in connection with media development, there is a huge potential being to be used as a international communication tool. In this study, it will be reviewed on the increased utilization of Hangul emoticons and related public issues as being a part of typography media, in view of the generalization of private media as well as change of subjective user.

Nowadays, many research have been conducted on robots or interactive characters that properly respond to the users affection. In this paper, we develop an intelligent messenger that provides appropriate responses to text inputs according to user's intention and affection. In order to properly respond, the intelligent messenger adapts methods to recognize user's speech act and affection. And it uses an AIML-based interactive script to which tags are additionally attached to express affection and speech act. If the intelligent messenger finds a proper reply in the interactive scripts, it displays the reply in a dialog window, and an animation character expresses emotion assimilated with a user's affection. If the animation character is synchronized with a content robot through a wireless link, the robot in the same space with the user can provide emotional response.

The purpose of this paper is to suggest one of effective online questionnaire methods by using web based games. The research examines the interrelation between space design element and emotion language in the background actually used in the web games, and suggests new questionnaire methods to overcome the problems of the insincere answers which is the limitation of online questionnaire methods. The paper is to examine the related references, and compare the merits and demerits between printed and online text based questionnaires. Then it suggests the on-line questionnaire methods based web games which can improve errors of the demerits. The emotional words and phrases database is embodied by the interrelation between the emotional words and four spaces such as a dwelling, a tradition, a commerce and a fantasy based on the position decision value of Gaussian distribution. The paper suggests to be utilized for a population calculability system such as a consumers preference test.

This study is to reveal the significant value of astrology as a counseling tool beyond its unscientific means in prophecy and counseling effects on changes in adolescents' self-awareness with astrology. In astrology, personal self-awareness is related to the nature of the sun and the public self-awareness is associated with ascendants, or the persona. In addition, the location of the moon that governs emotion and basic and peripheral aspects of polarity, quality, and elements are analyzed to be applied to the scene of consultation in relation of social unrest. For this study, 24 subjects were selected randomly at the Youth Support Center in Gyeongsangnam-do city C who referred to be showing social maladjustment, problematic behaviors and so under probation. The subjects were divided into the experimental group (12) and control group (12). To measure the affects of astrology-utilized consultation and to assess changes of self-awareness and its sub-factors, analysis of variance was conducted repeatedly and statistically validated with the difference between the group (experimental, control) and test(pre, post). As the results, it was proven that the consultation using astrology is affective on increasing adolescents' self-awareness and it can be understood that astrology has a meaningful value as a consultation tool in the aspects of social science.

The purpose of this study is to find the correlation between elements of resilience and small group activities in the university, and to explore small group activities as a protective and a positive factor in controlling the stress of college students. As the first part of the study, positive roles of resilience to the stress of college students and the elements that promote the efficiency of resilience are analyzed. The study precedent in detail and four elements of resilience are presented as following; optimistic realism, vitality, ability to control emotion, and interpersonal ability, addressing the faith in God is one of the strong positive factors for developing resilience. Then, this study deals with how the four elements of resilience relates to the characteristics of small group activities. In conclusion, this study suggests Christian universities to develop small group activities because they can develop each of the four elements of resilience of college students. Christian universities have a missional duty and the responsibility to help college students experience real happiness in their lives. Therefore, if Christian universities understand the effectiveness of resilience of college students and find out the correlation between resilience and faith, they can help students not only to live a positive life in their generation, but also to experience the authentic happiness.

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the emotional intelligence of day-care teachers on their career commitment and organizational commitment in an attempt to provide some information on the development of the emotional intelligence of day-care teachers. Two hundred and three teachers in day-care centers in Gyeonggi-do Suwon-si participated in the study and descriptive, correlation, multiple regression analysis were conducted. The results are as follows: First, the emotional intelligence of day-care teachers had a statistically significant positive correlation to career commitment. In addition, among the sub-factors of emotional intelligence, motivating oneself and knowing one's emotion exerted a statistically significant positive influence on career commitment. Second, the emotional intelligence of day-care teachers had a statistically significant positive correlation to organizational commitment. In addition, among the sub-factors of emotional intelligence, motivating oneself exerted a statistically significant positive influence on career commitment.

Film sound should be analyzed based upon the profound understanding of sound design process and the principle behind it. Lack of this knowledge prevents the research from having the comprehensiveness and concreteness. This study aims to reaffirm the important role of sound design in filmmaking while also investigating the narrative functions of sound design. The role of sound design as a cinematic technique was defined as creating audio-visual experience with a collection of information, emotion, and ideas organized and presented in the sound narrative of films. Each process of sound design, dialog, ambience, Foley, and sound effects, was proved to be performing this role as a result of a case study of various narrative films. The narrative functions of sound design was able to be defined as well.
