Data Transmission System from Distant Area Using SD-Card and Ethernet (SD 카드와 이더넷을 이용한 원격지 데이터 전송시스템)

  • An aging Society solitary life old mans are increasing. The nurses have to visit old mans and must confirm their disease, because they do not act well. It is very difficult to take care old man, because the number of Nurses are small. This problem is solved by collection of data about condition of old mans from long distance. Data communication with Ethernet have benefit to collection of measurement of old man's condition. The Data storage system an long distance place are storaged data and after several day data was transmitted to the DB over the Ethernet. For Miniaturization of such system the system must be OS-less Embedded Ethernet Server system. Such system manages the file management system only with H/W. The Storage device is used SD-card. SD Card is small size and operates with small power. By using 512MB sd memory card, it is possible to storage during 5~6 years, 10 byte of temperature value per second. In this paper, we make a Embedded Ethernet Server using W3100A, Atmega128 MCU and data stroage device using SD-Card. This system operates with O/S-less Embedded Ethernet Server. We talk about file System, Storage and Ethernet. We explained about MCU Atmega128, Interface between LAN LSIand W3100A, Interface between W3100A and Phyceiver RTL8201, data I/O between MCU and SD-Card and File System. We shows the experiment device and result of monitoring.

  • The necessity of the home network have been enlarged gradually according to the distribution of ultra-high speed internet, the expansion of a digital information equipment and the change of a life pattern. In this paper, we proposed the embedded ethernet module that could be operate on eight bit system, but it could control home appliance with full ethernet speed. The embedded ethernet module consists of 8051 MCU and Hardware TCP/IP. In this module, we construct simple web server and port remote control program for I/O device control. We verified through internet that the developed embedded ethernet module could control and check home appliances anywhere and anytime. We expect the developed ethernet module can build up niche market at home network. And it will be helpful to activate home network market.

  • In this paper, we present the wet-based monitoring system for industrial controller such as inverter controller for hydraulic elevators. The monitoring system is using an embedded web server on embedded Linux platform. The control board of system-On-Chip (SoC) is based on ARM7TDMI with Ethernet controller. Wet-based monitoring system using embedded Linux platform can reduce the cost, and have flexibility both of technical issues and locations If the system to be monitored. The system shows the feasibility of remote monitoring system based on embedded Linux platform.

  • This paper proposes a new Web based-control concept & design method and implementation of LonWorks network system for a large scale renewable energy energy control and monitoring system in building. The Experimental LonWorks network system using LonWorks/Ethernet(Web) server is designed and fabricated. This article addresses issues in architecture of LonWorks/Ethernet sever, embedded processors architecture for converting LonTalks protocol to Modbus protocol and software, and Internet technologies. It is also verified that the multi-induction motor control and monitoring system using LonWorks/Ethernet server have available, interoperable, reliable performance characteristics from the experimental results, Especially, The seamless integration of TCP/IP networks with control networks allows access to any control point from anywhere. Thus, the results provide a available technical data for remote distributed control system of industrial and buildings field.

  • 대부분의 기존 임베디드 웹 서버 시스템은 어떤 특정 기기를 제어하기 위하여 고안되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 StrongArm 계열의 SA1110 chip을 채택하여 H/W 보드를 설계하고 최적의 웹 서버를 만들었다. 최근 널리 사용되고 있는 SA1110 H/W 보드 설계 중 Ethernet Controller인 CS8900A 설계에 관한 세부 사항들과 Ethernet 관련 Kernel patch에 대한 내용을 다루었다. 그리고 CS8900A에 대한 Network device driver 모듈에 대하여 자세히 언급하며, 제작된 보드를 사용하여 웹 서버 프로그램을 작성하여 MS 익스플로러 6.0환경에서 실험하였다.

  • This paper proposes a new design and implementation of multi-protocol IED for networked control system of multi-induction motor in industrial fields. The experimental multi-induction motor based multi-protocol IED of Modbus/LonTalks/TCP/IP module is designed and fabricated. This article addresses issues in architecture of LonWorks/Ethernet sever, embedded processors architecture for converting Modbus protocol to LonTalks protocol, integrating preconfigured software, and Internet technologies. It is also verified that the multi-induction motor control and monitoring system using LonWorks/Ethernet server have available, interoperable, reliable performance characteristics from the experimental results, especially, the seamless integration of TCP/IP networks with control networks allows access to any control point from anywhere. Thus, the results provide available technical data for remote distributed motor control system of industrial field or building microgrid with LonWorks BAS.

  • The purpose of this study is to realize DHCP server based on embedded system. To achieve this, embedded Linux was ported in ez Bord-M01 mounted with Intel Strong ARM SA1110 processor, and ethernet-based network was constructed for network function. In this way, this study suggests embedded DHCP server where Window and Linux client hosts are dynamically configurated as network information by dynamically assigning network information in embedded board.

  • The present study purposes to develop HMI software that runs on Windows CE .NET platform without being bound to specific HMI equipment and accesses data in PLC equipment through interoperation with an OPC-DA server. As the OPC-DA server reads data in PLC equipment, HMI system does not need to be configured differently for different equipments. In addition, when the interface environment of specific equipment changes, it does not require the application of new equipment or the change of communication protocol. As HMI system runs on Windows CE .NET platform, it can be configured using common embedded devices based on Windows CE .NET platform. HMI software reads data in PLC equipment through RS-232C communication interface. In addition, because it connects to an OPC-DA server through Ethernet communication interface, it can access data in PLC equipment as long as Ethernet is usable.

Two-Stage Multichannel Architecture for Oyster Product Management System

  • In this paper, we propose two-stage multichannel architecture for oyster product management system, called cloud stage and agent stage. There are two communication channels at each stage. In cloud stage, the embedded system in the smart scale communicates with the server through two channels, Ethernet or 3G/LTE mobile communication. In agent stage, PCs and smart phones called agents communicate with the server also through Internet and 3G/LTE mobile communication. Compared with previous system in which the amount of the oyster produced in oyster workplaces could be monitored only at the console of only one oyster main server, developed system makes it possible to monitor the amount of produced oyster at several PCs (or smart phones). In addition to the amount of oysters produced at all oyster workplaces the environment of oyster workplaces such as temperature and humidity can be monitored on agents to judge the freshness. Two-stage architecture with multiple channels makes it possible to monitor the amount of oyster product and environment of the oyster workplace at any place in real time.

  • Most network equipment is an embedded system designed to execute specific function. An embedded system is an electronic control system mixing hardware and software to execute only fixed function for the purpose of system, not confuter, performing diverse function for a wide use. Early embedded system executed only simple function, combining specific function with optimization, a micro size, and low power, but it has developed to meet complex and diverse system. The purpose of this study is to realize DHCP server based on embedded system.
