Physical Properties of Green Sheets According to Glass Transition Temperature of Binder (바인더 유리전이온도에 따른 그린시트의 물리적 특성)

  • The properties of LTCC green sheets formed by the MLS-22 powder of NEG Inc. were investigated for acrylic binders with different PVB and Tg in the variation of temperature. The elongation of the green sheets showed large variation depending on the temperature, and was rapidly decreased near the Tg of the sheets. With the increase of the ratio of plasticizer/binder (P/B), large elongation of the sheets was observed due to the decrease of the Tg. In the stacking process of the multilayer ceramic, the optimal control of the temperature is highly required depending on the Tg of the binder and the ratio of P/Buniform coating.

  • Epoxy/Organically Modified Layered Silicate Nanocomposites were prepared by dispersing synthetic layered silicate modified with alkyl ammonium ions. In the dispersing process, the organically modified layered silicate were mixed in epoxy resin with shearing, and aggregation of the silicate were removed by centrifugal separation after mixing epoxy resin and silicates. Micrographs taken by transmission electron microscopy(TEM) indicate that the nanocomposites have a mixed morphology including both parallel silicate layers and exfoliated silicate layers area, As the thermal properties, the glass transition temperature of the nanocomposites was shifted to a higher temperature($+6^{\circ}C$)than pure epoxy. Furthermore, dispersion of OMLS will prevented relative permittivity from increasing at a high temperature above the glass transition temperature.

  • The high Tc phase disappeared and low Tc phase increased in the substitution of transition elements for Bi ions. The high Tc phase decreased in the substitution of Si and Sn for Bi ions. The high Tc phase increased in the substitution of Sb, As and P which were the same group of Bi for Bi ions. The substitution of P ions was the most effective and then the high Tc phase was formed in large quantity by replacing Bi ions with 30% of P ions.

  • Perdeuterated hexafluoroacetylacetonato -ytterbium [$Yb (HFA -D)$_3$_3$] complexes were synthesized by the koto-enol tautomerism reaction of $Yb(HFA-H)_3$ in methanol-$d_4$, in order to reduce the radiationless transition to the ligands. The luminescence properties of $Yb(HFA-D)_3$ complex were measured in the following anhydrous deuterated organic solvents : Acetone-$d_6$, Methanol-$d_4$, THF-$d_8$, $PO(OC$H_3$)_3$ and DMSO-$d_6$. The intensity, lifetime and quantum efficiency of the luminescence in DMSO-$d_6$ were superior to those in other deuterated solvents. It was suggested that the anhydrous DMSO-d$_{6}$ might be the most appropriate solvent for the liquid laser material of $Yb(HFA-D)_3$ complex.x.

  • The fabrication of high quality superconducting thin films using pulsed laser deposition (PLD) has been reported to find optimized processing conditions and to make the millimeter-wave devices. High temperature superconducting (HTS) YBCO films were prepared on MgO (10${\times}$10${\times}$0.5mm) substrates by the PLD. The 3 pole bandpass filter with the center frequency of 22 GHz for satellite communication was designed consisting of hairpin coupled-lines to reduce the configuration in size. YBCO films are c-axis oriented and show superconductive transition temperatures of 88∼89 K with the transition widths < 0.5 K. The insertion loss of passband at 70 K was about 5 dB. The measured frequency response of superconducting filter will be compared with the simulation result.

  • Oxygen evolution reaction is a critical bottleneck for the development of efficient electrochemical hydrogen production because of its sluggish reaction. Among various catalysts, transition metal-based layered double hydroxide has drawn significant attention due to their excellent catalytic properties and cost-effectiveness. This paper begins with basic crystal structures, and then conventional adsorbate evolution mechanism of layered double hydroxide. Strategies for enhancing catalytic properties based on adsorbate evolution mechanism and lattice oxygen mechanism that could surpass theoretical limit of adsorbate evolution mechanism are discussed. This paper ends with a brief discussion on the challenges and future directions of layered double hydroxide-based oxygen evolution reaction catalysts.

Adaptive Formulation of the Transition Matrix of Markovian Mobile Communication Channels

  • This study models mobile communication channels as a discrete finite Markovian process, and Markovian jump linear system having parallel Kalman filter type is applied. What is newly proposed in this paper is an equation for obtaining the transition matrix according to sampling time by using a weighted Gaussian sum approximation and its simple calculation process. Experiments show that the proposed method has superior performance and reuires computation compared to the existing MJLS using the ransition matrix given by a statistical method or from priori information.

Analysis of Fourier Transform Jet Emission Spectra of CN $(B^{2}{\Sigma}^+{\rightarrow}X^{2}{\Sigma}^+)$

  • The CN radical was generated in a jet with an inert buffer gas, helium from high voltage dc discharge of the precursor $CH_3CN$. The Fourier transform emission spectra of the O-O band of the $(B^2{\Sigma}^+{\to}X^2{\Sigma}^+)$ transition of CN have been obtained with a Bruker IFS-120HR spectrometer. The spectra show an anomalous distribution of rotational intensity which cannot be explained by a simple Boltzmann distribution. The analysis of the transition frequencies provides molecular constants with high accuracy for both the ground and the excited electronic states of the CN radical.
