Noble LCD with a Single Supporting Substrate

  • A recently developed phase separated composite film method has been employed to fabricate a liquid crystal (LC) based electro-optical device using a single glass substrate. The resulting device is made of adjacent parallel layers of LC and polymer maded by phase separation. The LC layer is confined between the solidified polymer layer on one side and the glass substrate on the other. The electro-optical properties of these devices demonstrate their technological potential in light weight and hand-held electronic products.

  • 1970년대 초 플라즈마 에칭 기술이 microelectronic devices 제작에 널리 이용 되면서부터 이 기술은 매우 빠르게 발전하고 있다. 최근의 고밀도 집적회로의 제작에는 다양한 종류의 물질에 엄격히 제어된 sub-micron의 미세한 패턴을 대량 제작하여야 한다는 것이 요구되고 있다. 플라즈마 에칭기술은 이와같은 요구에 부응할 수 있는 기술일 뿐만 아니라 비등방성 에칭 특성이 뛰어나 micro electronic-mechanical system(MEMS)을 위한 가공기술로 응용될 전망도 높다. 이에 본고에서는 플라즈마 에칭 기술의 변천을 간략히 살펴보고 최근에 관심을 끌고 있는 helicon wave 플라즈마원과 그에 의한 식각성능을 소개하고자 한다.

  • This research is about the remote control of the infra-ray signal producer and the received signal memory-type control unit. Also by using the infra-ray signal from the remote control, reduction of malfunctions due to infra-ray signal from other devices are presented. Applications on various electric and electronic items to improve the convenience are also shown.

  • This paper describes an implementation of Chua's oscillator circuits with five - segment piecewise -linear function. Some bifurcation phenomena and chaotic attractors observed experimentally from the laboratory model and simulated by computer for the model are also presented. The Chua's oscillator circuit is implemented with analog electronic devices. Com¬paring both the observations and simulations, the spectrums are satisfactory.

  • In this talk, the general concept of roll-to-roll printing technologies will be introduced with basic fundamentals of ink formulations for printing electronic devices as the first part of the talk. As the second part, based on the R2R printing process, key factors for printing TFTs, IC, PV and display would be presented using the information from the case study of R2R gravure and offset.
