Recently, E-Commerce demands an integrated solution for online and off-line provided to customers on wired / wireless network and various mobile devices. Our E-commerce platform can use anytime, anywhere, for all consumers. And, it can take convenient and secure E-commerce service in mobile environment. So, we will implement a software platform base on the mobile environment that independent of the mobile OS. Particularly, our E-commerce platform is based on 3D GIS information for 3D electronic map. So, all users (customers) have got the more visible convenience. And, by using the e-catalog DB cloud server, off-line store operators can be built the online home-page easily. From now on our E-commerce platform based on 3D GIS can be usable at various E-commerce areas in the ubiquitous environment.

Plant, civil engineering and construction equipment data of overseas construction are obtained and then analyzed, classified and integrated by experts. With those refined data set, we built classification system and defined property information with reference to international standard (ISO 15926, IRDL). If class in ISO 15926 is predefined for equipment of interest, we used the class as is. If not, we created and defined new classes on the basis of ISO 15926 classes. If there is similar class for equipment of interest, extension or inheritance methods were used. As a result, classification system of five levels and 637 classes were built and construction equipment information were expressed in open structure of XML such as tree structure of classification system and detailed information with number equipments for each specific equipment. We also developed the electronic catalog system which is basically equipment information management system providing various product search functions.

Building a domain-suited ontology, as a means to implement the Semantic Web, is widely believed to offer users the benefit of exploiting the semantic knowledge constrained in the application. Electronic Catalog, shortly e-Catalog, manages the information about the goods or conditions play an important role in e-commerce domain. Consequently, semantically enriched yet precise information by the ontology may elaborate the business transactions. In this paper, we analyze the semantic relationships embodied within the catalog domain, as the first step towards the ontological modeling of e-catalog. Exploring ontology should leverage not only the representation of semantic knowledge but also provide the inferencing capability for the model. We employ the EER(extended Entity Relationships) for the basic model. Each modeling construct can be directly translated by DL(Description Logics). Semantic constraints that can be hardly represented in EER are directly modeled in DL.

This paper presents a KITSAT-3 image catalog browse and distribution system. The access time and easy-to-use concept of the system should be highlighted in order for satellite image users to browse and order the required images as quickly and easily as possible. In general, users want to enter their image search conditions in the simplest ways and to display the search results which can be interpreted intuitively. The KITSAT-3 image catalog browse and distribution system was developed to satisfy the users' requirements with the minimum system installation cost.

It is needed to search the electronic commerce standardization and to analysis its policies to meet the international situations strategically and forecast the technology surroundings for electronic commerce. This study aims at searching the current state of electronic commerce standardization and analyzing policies on electronic commerce by the driving subject, that is, government and private organization, major countries, and standard classifications of electronic commerce technologies such as e-documents, e-catalog, e-payment, and e-process. The government and private organizations get information for the current state and policies for standardization on electronic commerce and put them practical use to make policies and strategy applications.

With an advent of XML(extensible markup language), researches on electronic commerce based on XML have been conducted by many organizations and companies. Although these researches described electronic catalogs, they are not sufficient because in the catalogs, the product information are not classified properly, and are not organized hierarchically. In this paper, we analyse and classify information that can use to describe various products. And then, we suggest the modes that can describe the various products information through the complement of existing researches, and we apply it over several products on the Web. The uses of this model supports flexibility and facility to the product offers such as internet shopping malls.

Until recently, there have been fundamental changes in many fields of industries. Especially, the mass-production is being changed into mass-customization. In order to construct a 3D e-catalog system far the utilization of mass-customization, there are several matters to consider. Setting realistic 3D image should be effective fur providing the customers with the product information with reality and raising their interest. This study explains the whole process to convert CAD data formed from the production activities into VRML data used in virtual reality environment. Examples are given and discussed to validate the proposed activity.

The issue of the cataloging the electronic resources have been vigorously presented recently because of many problems involved in it. The study aims to examine the various formats of the electronic resources mainly centering around the internet as well as the need for cooperative cataloging of the resources. In addition, the study attempts to analyse the CORC of OCLC and the PCC of LC. Based on these, the cooperative cataloging system for online electronic resources in Korea is suggested.

E-Catalogs which describe products or services are one of the most important data for the electronic commerce. E-Catalogs are created, updated, and removed in order to keep up-to-date information in e-Catalog database. However, when the number of catalogs increases, information integrity is violated by the several reasons like catalog duplication and abnormal classification. Catalog search, duplication checking, and automatic classification are important functions to utilize e-Catalogs and keep the integrity of e-Catalog database. To implement these functions, probabilistic models that use statistics of index words extracted from e-Catalogs had been suggested and the feasibility of the methods had been shown in several papers. However, even though these functions are used together in the e-Catalog management system, there has not been enough consideration about how to share common data used for each function and how to effectively manage statistics of index words. In this paper, we suggest a method to implement these three functions by using simple SQL supported by relational database management system. In addition, we use materialized views to reduce the load for implementing an application that manages statistics of index words. This brings the efficiency of managing statistics of index words by putting database management systems optimize statistics updating. We showed that our method is feasible to implement three functions and effective to manage statistics of index words with empirical evaluation.
