As the most widely used media of BtoB e-business, the e-Marketplace (EM) can play an important role in the age of c-commerce (collaborative commerce). In supply chain management (SCM) area, the relationship-based collaboration among partners has shown great efficiency. Although the collaboration is important in both areas of EM and SCM there has been a critical difference in the selection of trade partners between them. In this paper, the EM's collaborative stages for integration with its customer system are reviewed and a system architecture is proposed for EM's electronic functional role within the perspective of collaborative commerce and buyer-supplier relationship. The relationship-based BtoB commerce through EM is reviewed to explain that it can be more beneficial than the commerce based on the price competitive selection of trade partners. With the proposed system architecture, an EM can be the functional medium for the collaborative IOIS system architecture.

E-Commerce system now is advancing toward providing integrated trade process supports. This paper proposes an approach to integrate various trade processes and discusses the validity of the approach. Process propagation issues, which is critical in process integration, has not been treated in this paper.

This thesis examines the problems faced in the clearance procedures of Korea's e-customs system for which improvements are necessary, and suggests various ways of overcoming those problems. Practical implications regarding the advancement of Korea's e-customs system are as follows. First, the substructure of the e-customs clearance system, which is the basis for the establishment of a global single window, should be developed into a more modern and advanced system. Second, additional improvements in the law are required to render the broad array of Internet-based export and import documents legally binding. Third, customized services should be provided in order to improve the operating efficiency of the e-customs clearance system. Fourth, the reputation of Korea's e-customs clearance system should be raised via the strengthening of a cooperative system between concerned parties, including exporters and importers. This innovative approach to systematic improvements will come about when we can simplify current customs clearance procedures and establish a fairer customs inspection administration regime. Additionally, when we review the methods intrinsic to our customs system, we must emphasize the urgency of proper completion of related systems and arrangements in the trade business and similar fields.

Bolero Project initially had the support of TEDIS, and now is a joint-venture between SWIFT and IT Club. After the successful testing of an original pilot project, The Bolero Association was formed in 1995 by a group of interested cross industry companies. A Bolero Bill of Lading replicates the basic functions of a paper-based bill of lading via title registry service and core messaging platform. A Bolero Bill of Lading consists of BBL Text and Title Registry Record. A Tittle Registry Record carries out the function of a document of title and a BBL may be transferred by changing the roles of users in this Title Registry Record. TEDI Project had been conducted from the April 1999 to the September 2000 on the basis of the EDEN Project(Dec.97- Mar. 1999) and International Trade Guidances Project (Nov. 1998-Mar. 1999). Through TEDI Project, the RSP Model was introduced as e-trade solution like Bolero's Solution. The RSP Model Solution will be furnished through TC (Trade Chain) Server and RSP(Repository Service Provider) Server. The purpose of this paper is to study the problems and solutions in the pilot test of electronic Bill of Lading using TEDI's RSP and to promote the introduction of electronic Bill of Lading.

미국과 싱가포르는 모두 세계에서 가장 우수한 기업 경영환경을 제공하는 국가이다. 그러나 미국이 자유방임형이라고 한다면 싱가포르는 철저하게 계획형이라는 점에서 다르다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 미국과 싱가포르의 전자무역 지원정책의 사례를 분석하고, 상호비교를 통해 우리 나라 전자무역 지원정책에 대한 시사점을 파악하였다. 본 연구의 가장 큰 시사점은 전자무역의 활성화가 기본적으로 민간의 적극적인 참여로 이루어져야 한다는 것이다. 정부의 역할은 주도적인 입장이 아닌 철저한 지원자의 입장에서 수행되어야 한다. 정부가 거래알선 및 e마켓플레이스 등 전자무역의 핵심적인 활동에 직접적으로 관여하기보다는 관련된 민간기업을 육성하고, 기업들의 전자무역 수행능력을 제고시키며, 기업의 전자무역 활동이 원활하게 이루어질 수 있도록 전자무역 인프라의 확충에 정책의 초점을 맞추어야 한다는 점이다. 향후 전자무역 촉진을 위한 주요 정책의 방향으로 전자무역에 대한 기본적인 인식을 제고 할 수 있는 홍보활동 강화, 전자상거래 지원기관과 전통적인 무역지원기관들의 연계 및 산학연계 활동의 촉진을 통해서 중소 기업에 대한 실질적인 전자무역의 지원, 전자무역 관련 전문인력의 체계적인 양성, 무역 관련 공공정보시스템의 개선 등이 제시될 수 있다.

This paper is to review the Uniform Rules for Bank Payment Obligations(URBPO 750E) which were developed by the Banking Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce and to present the implications. The rules were unanimously adopted during Lisbon meeting of the ICC Banking Commission on April 17th, 2013 and taken effect as of July 1, 2013. A BPO is an irrevocable undertaking given by an Obligor bank to a Recipient bank to pay a specified amount under the condition of a successful electronic matching of data or acceptance of mismatches. It is an alternative instrument for trade settlement, designed to complement existing solution and not to replace them(ICC,750E). The BPO enables banks to provide sellers and buyers with advanced risk mitigations and enhanced financing services. The BPO will improve trade processing efficiency such as increased transaction times, reduced handling cost, and others. It is believed that the BPO will have an important role to play in supporting the development of Supply Chain Finance in international Trade. So, This study will review the provisions and application of the URBPO 750E based on documentary materials including swift com and icc.org and so on.

Since 1970s, there are many tries to realize electronic bills of lading(e-B/L) in the world and great attention has been shown to the question of law, international trade customs and realizing strategy concerned that instrument. However that tries, include Bolero which is most famous company serving e-B/L, don't succeed yet. Meanwhile, Korean government amended commercial code in order to realize e-B/L on August 3, 2007. Also The Korea Paperless Trade Center set to develop the e-B/L system by spring of 2008. So far, however, no definitive answer has been given to the way of realization of e-B/L in Korea. Getting bigger the importance of analysis to the ways of realization of e-B/L in Korea, in this paper the author attempt to examine the requirements after briefly outlining and analysing the results and problems of the tries and suggest thereby policy and strategy about the realization classified three categories.

This thesis examines the performance and improvement strategy of SWIFTNet TSU's BPO for computerization and suggests the following results: First, the URBPO should be legally complemented, and the SWIFT and banks need to keep improving the systems to meet trade parties' diverse needs. Second, the SWIFTNet TSU's BPO should have an institutionally unified sharing platform with security, stability and convenience. In other words, it is needed to develop services which meet e-payment paradigm and international and regional environments through continued analysis on market changes and flow. Third, in order for the SWIFTNet TSU BPO to evolve into a perfect global system, there should be an innovative payment solution which can meet all trade parties all over the world. For this, technology standardization for a worldwide e-trade payment system is essential. Lastly, based on the results derived from this study, an analysis framework with which more diverse and practical environmental variables can be analyzed should be developed.

Trans-Pacific Partnership started as a small scale 4 countries regional trade agreement. It became a grand free trade agreement when the United States announced its participation and Japn considers to join. Korea still hasn't decided the stance however, considering the economic and political relationship with the United States and the impact of TPP, it looks like that Korea is going to join TPP. US led the TPP agreement is expected to be made based on the previous FTA agreements of the US. In the promising E-Commerce part, it is likely that the e-commerce leading US would suggest favorable agreement. If Korea joins the TPP, it's necessary to suggest what Korea wants and needs based on the previous KORUS FTA to promote Korean e-commerce for the future.

Agent technology has been widely applied in today's electronic business, such as mobile agents, multi-agent information systems, etc. In particular, multi-agent systems have been applied as powerful simulation tools to study complex business networks composed of various self-interested trading firms and/or human beings. In this paper, we build an integrated model that consists of a multi-agent B2C market model and a B2B trade network model, and incorporate more reality than much of prior work. Then with this model, we carry out experimental studies on two different strategies that are common in electronic business - 'loyal' strategy (retailers try to build stable cooperation with suppiers to ensure material supply) and 'cost-saving' strategy (retailers try to reduce cost by choosing suppliers with lower wholesale price).
