Non-constraining Online Signature Reconstruction System for Persons with Handwriting Problems

  • This paper presents a new non-constraining online optical handwritten signature reconstruction system that, in the main, makes use of a transparent glass pad placed in front of a color camera. The reconstruction approach allows efficient exploitation of hand activity during a signing process; thus, the system as a whole can be seen as a viable alternative to other similar acquisition tools. This proposed system allows people with physical or emotional problems to carry out their own signatures without having to use a pen or sophisticated acquisition system. Moreover, the developed reconstruction signature algorithms have low computational complexity and are therefore well suited for a hardware implementation on a dedicated smart system.

  • In the face of this bewildering array of approaches to the problem, in 1997, the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (NCCUSL) undertook to produce a new uniform law that would bring some order and consistency to state legislation in this area. The NCCUSL drafting committee worked on a highly expedited drafting schedule, and a completed draft of UETA was finalized and approved ill July 1999.15.

  • 2008년 국제표준 ISO 32000-1로 지정된 PDF 표준은 전자서명에 대한 표준을 함께 제공함으로써 PDF 문서의 신뢰성을 확보하고자 하였다. 하지만 ISO 32000-1에 포함된 전자서명 관련 표준은 서명에 사용된 인증서의 유효기간이 만료되면 전자서명의 유효성을 검증할 수 없기 때문에 장기적으로 보존되는 문서의 신뢰성을 보장하는데 적절하지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 PDF 국제 표준인 ISO 32000-1의 전자서명 관련 표준을 분석하고 전자서명 장기검증 기능을 적용할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 내용을 활용한다면 다양한 PDF 소프트웨어에서 호환 가능한 전자서명 장기검증 기능을 제공할 수 있을 것이며, 이를 통해 PDF 문서의 신뢰성을 향상시킬 수 있을 것이다.

Online Signature Verification Method using General Handwriting Data (일반 필기 데이터를 이용한 온라인 서명 검증 기법)

  • Online signature verification is one of the simple and efficient method of identity verification and has less resistance than other biometric technologies. In training to build a verification model, negative samples are required to build the model, but in most practical applications it is not easy to get negative samples - forgery signatures. In this paper, proposed is a method using someone else's signatures as negative samples. In verification, shape-based features extracted from the time-sequenced signature data are extracted and a support vector machine is used to verify. SVM tries to map a feature vector to a high dimensional space and to draw a linear boundary in the high dimensional space. SVM is one of the best classifiers and has been applied to various applications. Using general handwriting data, i.e., someone else's signatures which have little in common with positive samples improved the verification rate experimentally, which means that signature verification without negative samples is possible.

  • The optogalvanic effect is proposed and demonstrated as a technique for Penning ionization in a discharge of mixtures of metal vapors and rare gases. The gadolinium and argon mixture is used as a prototype. The lowest metastable of argon, 3P$_2$ (ls$\_$5/ in Paschen notation) at 93144 cm$\^$-1/, is within kT from the excited states of Gd ion. Thus Penning ionization occurs to an excited states of the ion. This process strongly alters the optogalvanic signal and has its own signatures.

Flexible Video Authentication based on Aggregate Signature

  • In this paper we propose a flexible video authentication scheme based on aggregate signature, which provides authenticity of a digital video by means of cryptographic signature to guarantee right of users. In contrast to previous works, the proposed scheme provides flexible usages on content distribution system, and it allows addition of new contents to the signed contents and deletion of some parts of the signed contents. A modification can be done by content owner or others. Although contents are modified by one or more users, our scheme can guarantee each user's right by aggregation of the each user's signatures. Moreover, proposed scheme has half size of Digital Signature Algorithm (DSA) with comparable security.

  • As the blind signature(10) does not reveal any information about the message or its signature it has been used for preventing the information leakage and for providing the anonymity in secure electronic payment systems. Unfortunately this perfect anonymity could be misused by criminals as blind signatures prevent linking the withdrawal of money nd the payment made 표 the same customer. Therefore we should provide publicly verifiable mechanism if it is required for the judge to trace the blackmailed messages. In this paper we propose a modified blind signature scheme which additionally provides the role of message recovery after analyzing the existing meta-ELGamal scheme(12) suggested by Horster. And we suggest a new fair blind multi-signature scheme based on the oblivious transfer protocol with which a judge can publicly verify its fairness and correctness if needed. Proposed scheme can also applicable to the diverse electronic payment applications.

  • Image identification is the process of checking whether the query image is the transformed version of the specific original image or not. In this paper, image identification method based on feature composition is proposed. Used features include color distance, texture information and average pixel intensity. We extract color characteristics using color distance and texture information by Modified Generalized Symmetry Transform as well as average intensity of each pixel as features. Individual feature is quantized adaptively to be used as bins of histogram. The histogram is normalized according to data type and it is used as the signature in comparing the query image with database images. In matching part, Manhattan distance is used for measuring distance between two signatures. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, independent test and accuracy test are achieved. In independent test, 60,433 images are used to evaluate the ability of discrimination between different images. And 4,002 original images and its 29 transformed versions are used in accuracy test, which evaluate the ability that the proposed algorithm can find the original image correctly when some transforms was applied in original image. Experiment results show that the proposed identification method has good performance in accuracy test. And the proposed method is very useful in real environment because of its high accuracy and fast matching capacity.

  • This study introduced the new technologies that are expanding the realm of electronic commerce to the Internet and small business. Each of the key components of electronic commerce(contracts, signatures, notaries, payment systems and adult trails)are supported in the new electronic commerce. Electronic commerce is more than just handling purchase transactions and funds transfers over the internet. Despite Electronic commerce's past roots in transactions between large corporations, banks, and other financial institutions, the use of the internet as a way to bring Electronic commerce to the individual consumer has led to shift in viewpoint. Over the past few years, both the press and the business community have increased their focus on Electronic commerce involving the consumer Effective payment system should be established for the internet commerce. In this study, we examined the current development and application of Electronic payment system. Two different payment systems are used and under application. One is IC-card type of payment system which has gained popularity in England, Hong-Kong, and many other countries as a substitution of cash. The other type of payment system is e-cash, which is used more conveniently for the payment through internet. The question of which method is better fitted for the internet commerce should be evaluated in the view of cost and benefit since the associated technology is still under evolution.   • Stereo vision approach to solve the problem using a single camera three dimension precise distance measurement and object recognition method is proposed. Precise three dimensional information of objects can be obtained using single camera, a laser light and a rotating flat mirror. With a simple thresholding operation on the depth information, the segmentations of objects can be obtained. Comparing the signatures of object boundaries with database, objects can be recognized. Improving the simulation results for the object recognition by precise distance measurement are presented.
