With the development of broadcasting technology from analogue to interactive digital, the number of TV channels and contents provided to audience is increasing in a rapid speed. In this multi-media and multi-channel world, it is difficult to adapt to the increase of TV channel numbers and their contents merely using remote controller to search channels. Due to this reason, EPG (Electronic Program Guide) has been one of the essential services providing convenience to audience. So EPG complying with European DVB-MHP specifications, which will be also our domestic standard, is proposed in this paper. In order to provide audiences with DiTV contents they preferred, we apply collaborative filtering algorithm to recommend contents according to preference value of audience group with similar preference. And we use JavaXlet application which is based on MHP to implement this EPG, while the result can be verified by OpenMHP emulator.

DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) is a new media service that can provide CD quality audio, various data service, interactive and high quality mobile communications through popular media such as terrestrial broadcasting, satellite, cable TV, and internet. In this paper, a new EPG(Electronic Program Guide) application model is proposed. The model is based on DAB and combines a DAB receiver and PCs so that it can take advantages of using various multimedia services and plenty of internet contents. The developed EPSD(EPG Provider System on DAB) has Web-based Server/Client structure and povides EPG functionalities to client PCs over internet. Therefore, the DAB receiver can be smaller and cheaper, and can develop abundant data services on internet. It can also provide high quality video services and be expected to become an important component in future home network systems.

As accelerates the technical evolution of high-speed network and progresses the digitalization of broadcasting network, TV channel service through satellite/cable/terrestrial networks becomes more stable and mature. However, TV channel service using IP network such as IPTV is recently emerging. Especially, when it comes to current mosaic EPG(Electronic Program Guide) as a channel guide, the implementation of EPG via IP network is under developing. Furthermore, the personal target mosaic EPG is not provided at all in the IPTV. This paper proposes a construction method of mosaic system which can support fixed and personalized mosaic EPG using IP network for viewers. The fixed mosaic EPG is made several steps as follows ; First, H/E generates several mosaic A/V streams. Then, which are transmitted to the STB in terms of multicasting via IP network. Finally, mosaic EPG is displayed on TV through STB. In addition, this paper describes a construction model of the personalized A/V mosaic EPG that represents each person's favorite channels according to their tastes and interests. As for the contributions. The TV channel guide using IP network enable viewer to select channel more easily with practical adaptation of multi-channel expansibility and sufficient usability. In addition, through personal mosaic EPG, a number of viewers can compose their own mosaic EPG and enjoy a variety of channel easily in accordance with their preferences. Finally, the personal mosaic EPG can prohibit non-adult users from connecting adult-only contents more efficiently.

Pump-storage power plants, which pumps water from the lower reservoir to the upper reservoir using the extra electronic power at night and generates the electronic power in the daytime, are more increasing. Currently it has a tendency to be high-head large-capacity machines. So in the processing of design, we need to know the vibration characteristics of pump-turbine shaft system sufficiently. In this paper, we developed the computer programs for analyzing pump-turbine shaft system considering magnetic force of generator, hydraulic force at runner, dynamic characteristics of guide bearings and the effect of add mass of water. And the superiority of this program was verified by applying it to the real model and calculating high quality critical speed, natural mode and unbalance response.

With the start of digital broadcasting, TV screen, there is provided a new broadcast service is called EPG (Electronic Program Guide) that can be retrieved directly to a channel or program. However, a study considering the EPG of the user interface on the viewer position is so far insufficient. TV is because everyone watching the media, rather than a specific layer is necessary in order to find easy, intuitive user interface for the program to the viewer. That is, it is possible to quickly find the program to select the attributes that the TV viewer can be easily understood by using the EPG. To this end, this paper first genres which are representative of the properties that distinguish a TV program, time, rating, etc. were systematically classified. So viewers the values of the properties but to specify organized by the EPG, the order of attributes that specify the value we design a user interface that can be selected as having easy. And compare the superiority of the function evaluation of the two through the EPG in the EPG Usability Test proposed by the EPG with the existing commercial paper.

지상파 디지털방송에서는 기존 아날로그 방송에 비해 뛰어난 품질의 영상/음성 서비스가 제공될 뿐만 아니라 신문이나 잡지에서 볼 수 있었던 프로그램 정보를 TV 화면상에서 바로 받아 볼 수 있는 EPG(Electronic Program Guide) 서비스와 각종 데이터 서비스도 함께 제공된다. 이러한 EPG 정보와 함께 수신기에 필요한 각종 시스템 정보를 수신측에 전달하려면 ATSC(Advanced Television Systems Committee)의 PSIP(Program and System Information Protocol)에 따라 정보를 가공하는 장비가 필요하며 데이터 서비스를 위해서는 ATSC A/90의 송출 규격에 따라 데이터를 가공하는 장비가 필요하게 된다. 데이터서버 시스템은 PSIP의 생성과 데이터의 스케줄링을 담당하는 Data/PSIP 제어기와 데이터를 ATSC 송출 규격에 맞추어 가공하는 데이터 인젝터로 구성된다. 데이터서버 시스템은 방송 편성 정보를 담고 있는 KBS 편성 DB, 각종 콘텐츠를 관리하는 콘텐츠 DB, 그리고 실시간 독립정보 서비스를 제공하기 위한 실시간 어플리케이션 에이전트와의 인터페이스를 갖추고 있다. Data/PSIP 제어기와 데이터 인젝터에서는 편성된 PSIP 정보와 콘텐츠 데이터를 ASI(Asynchronous Serial Interface) 인터페이스를 통해서 다중화기로 전송한다. 다중화기는 PSIP 정보와 인코딩된 데이터 정보를 A/V TS(Transport Stream)와 함께 다중화하여 최종적으로 디지털 데이터 방송용 TS를 출력시킨다.

디지털 방송의 시작과 함께, TV화면에서 채널이나 프로그램을 직접 검색학 수 있는 EPG(Electronic Program Guide)라는 새로운 방송 서비스가 제공되고 있다. 그러나 아직까지는 시청자 입장을 고려한 EPG의 사용자 인터페이스에 대한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. TV는 특정 계층이 아닌 모든 사람이 시청하는 매체이의로 시청자에게 프로그램을 쉽게 찾게 하기 위해서는 직관적인 사용자 인터페이스가 필요하다. 즉 EPG를 이용해 TV 시청자가 쉽게 이해할 수 있는 속성들을 선택해 프로그램을 빨리 찾을 수 있게 하는 것이다. 이를 위해본 논문에서는 먼저 TV 프로그램을 구분하는 대표적인 속성들인 장르, 시간, 등급 등을 체계적으로 분류하였다. 이렇게 체계화된 속성득의 값들을 시청자들이 EPG를 통해 지정하게 하되, 값을 지정하는 속성들의 순서를 편한 데로 선택할 수 있게 하는 사용자 인터페이스를 설계하였다. 그리고 기존의 상용 EPG와 본 논문에서 제안하는 EPG의 Usability Test를 통해 두 가지 EPG의 기능의 우수성을 비교평가 하였다.

This study is about the TV Electronic Program Guide (EPG) design to which Perceived Information Architecture (PIA) based on user-experience is applied. The function-oriented information architecture is not friendly for user to search channels, while Multi-channels of EPG system provides users with opportunities to select a variety of channels. Because the menu structure of EPG user interface system is not compatible with the user experience. Therefore, this study presented a user-experience-based methodology and proposed a new solution for the information architecture of user-centered EPG system design.

최근 사용자에 대한 많은 정보를 얻는 것이 가능해지면서, 데이터마이닝 기법이나 Contents 추천 기법을 이용한 맞춤형 서비스가 가능하게 되었다. 특히, 대부분의 사람들에게 TV 프로그램 시청은 여가생활시간에서 가장 높은 비중을 차지 하고 있다. 따라서, 보다 지능적인 TV 프로그램 서비스를 제공하는 기술에 대하여 관심이 고조되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 TV-Anytime을 이용하여 개인화된 Electronic Program Guide (EPG)를 생성하고, 개인화된 EPG 정보를 활용하여 시청자에게 맞춤형 TV 프로그램 서비스를 제공하는 시스템에 대한 연구 결과를 제시한다. 또한 시청자의 시청패턴과 TV 프로그램 선호도를 바탕으로 시청자가 원하는 프로그램을 추천하는 TV Program Recommender Agent와 방송 및 TV 프로그램에 대한 대화를 담당하는 TV Program Helper Agent, 시스템 조정 및 메시지 전달을 담당하는 Coordinator Agent로 이루어진 멀티에이전트 기반 시스템 구조를 제시한다.

The roll forming process is commonly used for the conventional 'Fe' metal products such as a furniture drawer guide or an up-down slide guide. Recently its applications are variously expanded to the sanitary facilities or electronic devices. It is essentially required the cleanness for the high technology application and any corrosion or rust are not allowed. Therefore, in those applications the stainless steel materials are strongly demanded as the substitution of 'Fe' steel. However the mechanical properties of stainless steel are not suitable for forming process compared with those of 'Fe' steel. Up to now, the conventional F.E.M.(Finite Element Method) has been used to analyze and design the roll forming process. The purpose of this research is to obtain the proper production process and the shape of rolls to manufacture the high precision slide rails made of stainless steel material. The commercial program, SHARPE-RF, is used to analyze the entire roll forming process. The results show that the rolling process and the roll design by F.E.M. are useful from the good agreement between the shapes of products estimated by F.E.M. and those of the actual products.
