  • Recently, the number of Internet shopping malls increases dramatically Internet shopping malls offer direct sales by electronic catalogs. As compared with to physical stores and paper catalogs, electronic catalogs differ in terms of the varieties and types of products offered, promotional efforts, service, interface, ordering and delivering, and so on. This paper analysed the features of electronic catalogs for fisheries by 45 variables. By descriptive statistics of electronic catalogs for fisheries, most electron)c catalogs had sufficient product related information. But promotion and transaction security related features were scarce. And some development technologies of electronic catalogs for fisheries were obsolete. By factor analysis, there were 9 factors of electronic catalogs for fisheries, that was, design of product pages, transaction information, playfulness, convenience of product selection, interface design, design of homepages, product information, learning capability, other electronic catalog related factor. Thus in standardizing electronic catalog for fisheries products, the above 9 factors should be reflected significantly.

  • In this paper, as there are many cases of fires occurring due to the failure or inoperability of the thermostat of electronic products, the purpose is to test and analyze the risks and probabilities through fire cases and reproduction experiments, and suggest countermeasures. Among electronic products, water purifiers are composed of a refrigerant system with a compressor to make cold water, a heating device to make hot water, and an electric device used as an energy source. Due to the nature of the water purifier manufacturing, these devices are subject to a lot of moisture and dust. etc. exist in large quantities and use electrical energy, so there is a possibility of fire due to short circuit in the wire, electrical abnormal overheating (tracking phenomenon) in the thermostat, electronic board, starting relay, etc., and overheating of the heating device (Band Heater). there is. Therefore, in order to prevent fires from these devices, a system to remove foreign substances inside the water purifier is necessary, the use of heat-resistant (fire-resistant) wires for electrical devices is essential, and the use of non-combustible materials (semi-combustible materials) for each part is necessary to prevent fire. The risk must be eliminated through prevention and combustion expansion prevention devices.

  • The new paradigm, which is called Electronic Commerce (EC), has greatly influenced not only enterprises but also other part of our society. Many goods have been actively transacted through EC all over the world. But there is a great difference between agricultural products and industrial products in terms of selling and buying behavior. Industrial products are well standardized and time-invariant in quality but agricultural products are not. Even the domestic distribution channels of agricultural products are much complex and are not modernized with internet technology. In this study, we first identify the behaviors of electronically transacting agricultural products and then develop and EC architecture far agricultural products in Korea. We suggest that EC for agricultural products focuses on B2B (Business to Business) model and various agricultural information should be distributed from B2B market over all supply chain and demand chain channels.

  • It is urgently-needed to construct a green supply chain (GSC) from collection of used products through recycling of them to sales of products using the recycled parts. Besides, it is necessary to consider the uncertainty in product demand as a risk in a GSC. This study proposes the optimal operations for a GSC with a retailer and a manufacturer. A retailer pays an incentive for collection of used products from customers and sells a single type of products in a market. A manufacturer produces the products ordered by the retailer, using recyclable parts with acceptable quality and compensates the collection cost of used products as to the recycled parts. This paper discusses the following risk attitudes: risk-neutral attitude, risk-averse attitude, and risk-prone attitude. Using mean-variance analysis, the optimal decisions for product order quantity, collection incentive, and lower limit of quality level, in the decentralized GSC (DGSC) and the integrated GSC (IGSC) are made. DGSC optimizes the utility function of each member. IGSC does that of the whole system. The analysis numerically investigates how (i) risk attitude and (ii) quality of recyclable parts affect the optimal operations. Supply chain coordination between GSC members to shift IGSC from DGSC is discussed.

  • As social media are increasingly being used as a marketing platform, electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) has also become popular in both research and business areas. However, although many studies have examined the effect of eWOM, the products investigated in most of these studies, such as films or books, are not likely to be consumed daily. Therefore, in this study, we analyze the effect of eWOM on low involvement products, which are inexpensive and enough for everyday spending. Given that low involvement products have unique characteristics such as low price, we conduct an experiment using a real sales dataset related to soft drinks. We also analyze the effect of eWOM in two social media platforms. We find that eWOM influences the sales of low involvement products, but such influence is dependent on the characteristic of the social media platform. Based on these results, we suggest that marketers and retailers selling low involvement products must consider eWOM, such as reviews, and differentiate their strategies based on their focused social media platform.

  • With the signing of the China-Korea FTA agreement, it is of great practical significance to study the potential of electronic product trade between China and South Korea under the new situation to promote the development of electronic product trade between the two countries. Based on this, this paper selects the data related to the trade of electronic products between China and South Korea from 2005 to 2019. First, it analyzes the factors of the trade potential of electronic products between the two countries by building a trade gravity expansion model, and then calculates and compares the electronic products between China and South Korea. trade potential. The research results show that: (1) The economic scale, population scale and APEC member countries have a promoting effect on the trade volume between China and South Korea. The geographical distance has an inhibitory effect on the trade volume between China and South Korea. Trade freedom has a significant misuse of promotion for China's electronics trade, while it has no significant effect on South Korea's electronics trade. (2) After 2015, China's electronic product export trade potential to South Korea is huge. There is also a certain potential in South Korea's trade in electronic products with China, which needs to be explored with active policies.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the determinants of new product diffusion. We seek to document and explain systematic features of product diffusion. In this essay, we examine the well-documented empirical regularity that the speed of diffusion has accelerated during the twentieth century. The empirical results show that the main source of acceleration are faster declines in prices. Faster price declines make the product affordable to more consumers within a given period of time. Based on theories of intertemporal price discrimination and learning-by-doing, the association between the speed of adoption and the speed of price decline was explained. Faster price declines are attributed to several product characteristics as well as changes in income distribution. Above all, the introduction of consumer electronic products in more recent years can be regarded as the most important factor in accelerating price declines. Consumer electronic products are technologically different from non-electronic goods, in that semiconductors are important components. As the price of semiconductors has dropped rapidly, the falling production costs can be rapidly incorporated to the price of consumer electronic goods. Furthermore, most of the recently introduced consumer electronic products have network externalities, and many products with network externalities require complementary products. A complementary product becomes more readily or cheaply available as more people have the main product. One major difference between previous studies and this study is that the former focuses only on the factors that operate directly on the speed of adoption, while this study incorporated factors that work through price changes as well as the factors that work directly on the speed of adoption.

  • This paper discusses a reverse supply chain (RSC) which consists of the process flows from procurement of used products collected from a market, through remanufacturing products from the used products, to sales of the products in a market. In general, it is conceivable for the RSC to face the uncertainty in quality of used products collected from a market. Inspection is one of efficient methods to deal with the problem regarding quality of used products. However, there is a trade-off between inspection cost and inspection accuracy. This paper focuses on the following five types of inspection: (1) 100% inspection, (2) sampling inspection, (3) sampling inspection with screening of rejected lots, (4) sampling inspection with screening of acceptable lots, and (5) no inspection, and determines the optimal operation consisting of the optimal number of procured used products and the optimal inspection policy. Numerical analysis clarifies not only how changes of conditions of the RSC affect the manufacturer's optimal operation but also features of each inspection type. In addition, from the results of numerical analysis, this paper shows the usability to add the proposed inspection in this paper, the sampling inspection with screening of acceptable lots, to choices of inspection type.
