인터넷 서비스가 안정화 위주로 옮겨가면서 웹서비스의 품질 향상을 위해 보다 많은 투자가 이루어지고 있다. 대규모의 다양한 정보를 제공하고있는 전자도서관 웹 사이트가 객관적인 평가 시스템을 개발하여 적용하므로써 이용자들에게 서비스의 만족도를 높일 수 있는 기준을 마련할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 검색성, 개인화로 기준을 도출하였다. 구축된 사용성 평가 모델을 계층적 분석방법(Analytic Hierarchy Process AHP)을 이용하여 평가하고 검증하였다. 평가지침으로 설정된 항목을 설문조사를 하여 계층적 분석방법에 기초한 디지털 도서관 웹 사이트 평가 모델을 개발하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the document delivery service(DDS) of the academic libraries and suggest its improvement model in Korea. DDS means providing copies of information requests in any format and from any source. And DDS is gaining in importance as libraries turn to 'just-in-time' access rather than 'just-in-case' collection to meet user information needs. By good fortune, rising journal subscription prices, declining financial resources, canceling some of journal subscriptions, electronic transmission technologies, and the rise of commercial document delivery services have allowed libraries to begin to deliver articles to users in a much more rapid and acceptable time frame. Therefore, the library paradigm for the 2000s must be the creation of new document delivery structures which capitalize on the access tolls and structures created by librarians during the past generations. First of all, library-based document service requires a close review of existing library-to-library delivery mechanisms, application of technology to transfer of facsimiles of materials and facilitated use of existing fee-based document sources. The ideal document delivery system would feature a transparent, seamless electronic service incorporating searching and browsing identification and marking of desired items, and transmission and fulfillment of requests. And requested items would be supplied from library collection, commercial suppliers, or other sources. But the future of DDS will succeed when physical resources, policies, personnel, and practices are organized to provide timely information delivery to users.

학술정보의 핵심인 학술지에 대한 정보 요구가 점차 전자저널로 변화함에 따라 도서관은 컨소시엄을 구성하여 효율적으로 전자저널을 구축하고 활용하기 위해 노력하고 있다. 그러나 우리나라의 전자저널 컨소시엄은 참여 도서관이 활발한 역할을 하기보다 운영기관과 콘텐트 제공자가 주도하는 경향이 있다. 이에 따라 우리나라에서 가장 많은 도서관이 참여하고 있는 KESLI 컨소시엄을 대상으로, 참여도서관, 콘텐트 제공자, 그리고 컨소시엄 운영자와 같은 다양한 이해관계자 집단을 통해 그 쟁점사항을 파악해 보고자 한다.이 연구의 목적은 KESLI 이해관계자 집단의 기대와 요구를 표적집단면담을 통해 조사한 결과를 분석하여 KESLI 컨소시엄의 발전적인 운영 방안을 마련하는데 있다.

We have heard about several keywords of the fourth industrial revolution such as automation, artificial intelligence and connectivity. And electronic publishing systems and ebooks will enable us to experience a new industrial revolution without discrimination. On that level, it is necessary to study a method of automatic accessibility tool for electronic publishing. There are some studies on accessibility standard specifications, accessibility guidelines, and accessibility certificate criteria. but there is little research about automatic inspection tools in electronic publishing area. This paper proposed a library for accessibility inspector of EPUB and its components based on IDPF EPUB accessiblity guidelines and TTA accessibility certificate criteria for reading disabled people. After implementing the library that can be connected to SIGIL, which is the most widely used in Korea, we verified its functionality and its coverage with Korean commercial EPUB files.

Recently, the volume of knowledge information in the form of electronic media is quickly increasing in the library field along with the advancement of electronic communication technology. Libraries have both printed data and electronic data and are faced with the issue of corresponding with the access and use of knowledge information in terms of the space. This study is for building the layout of a sustainable knowledge information space based on the view that the library is the official infrastructure of the knowledge information based society. It is intended to analyze the meaning of knowledge information in the modern society, characteristics in the spatial organization and the transmission of knowledge information. The goal of this study is to understand and forecast the spatial structure where users access knowledge information and exchange with one another and developing the direction and guidelines for the spatial plan that today's libraries prefer through this analysis. For this, this study firstly prepared the base for the research on library space which can be considered as the physical realization of such concepts, through the theoretical review about the knowledge information and social concepts as well as characteristics of modern society. Also, it seized the characteristics in the transmission of knowledge information by conducting a structural analysis of the information service such as knowledge information and space, space and information media, space and space through the cases of 10 public libraries. The analysis resulted in basic data including the system of organizing knowledge information, system of knowledge information transferring elements and structure, and layout pattern of each library. These results are deemed meaningful for the promotion of communication with the user through the exchange, creation, and experience of knowledge information, the social role of today's public library.

Originally the concept of the traditional resource sharing has been discussed in the context of bibliographic materials, and has been labor-intensive and high-cost activities. The technology has had a great impact on such pattern of the resource sharing, and has expanded the limited scope of the traditional concept into the sharing of library information in the levels of local, regional and national systems, and expertise, materials, facilities, equipments and personnels of the library system. While the traditional circulation service as a basic method to share library materials by users can provide the resource to a single person at a time, the electronic resource can be shared, by multi-users at a time anytime anywhere. The maximization of the electronic resource sharing requires that publishing process should be fundamentally changed and articles, books, chapters, speech manuscripts, music scores, maps, sound, and other formats of materials should be prepared in machine readable format. This study examined the positive effects of the technology on the resource sharing, but not investigate the concrete and complex problems as to the cost, guidelines, detailed procedures, design details, and intellectual properties and protection involved in the resource sharing. Some findings extracted from the study can be summarized as follows; (1) ILL will lose its meaning as a method to share the materials if they are all in the electronic format and the phrase 'networked information resource' becomes omnipresent. (2) The technology keeps on changing the concept of resource sharing. Today, the scope of resource sharing not only encompasses the sharing of the primary and secondary materials but also the sharing of the processings(eg. cataloging), expertise, user education, special facilities, and the integrated automated library systems. (3) The sharing of the networked resource will be a method to provide better services for library users in the low cost. (4) The a n.0, pplication of the technology to the resource sharing should be focus on the method which allows an end-users to do the direct access to the needed materials, and to be delivered the primary document as soon as possible.

최근 활발하게 제기되고 있는 전자자료의 목록작업은 전자자료의 여러 가지 특성으로 인해 많은 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이 연구에서는 특히 인터넷자료를 중심으로 여러 유형의 전자자료와 이들 전자자료에 대한 협동목록의 필요성을 살펴보고, 대표적인 전자자료 협동목록 시스템으로서 OCLC의 CORC과 LC의 POC에 대하여 전반적인 상황을 분석하였다. 또한 이를 바탕으로 국내 온라인 전자자료 협동목록 시스템을 제안하였다.

대부분의 선진국 및 여러 개발도상국에서 디지털도서관 연구에 많은 관심을 보이고 있다. 많은 디지털도서관 연구 프로젝트들이 정부 기관과 국가 및 국제 기관들에 의해 재정적인 지원을 받고있는 반면, 몇몇 프로젝트는 특정 대학과 연구기관 그리고 도서관들에 의해 단독 형태 혹은 협력 형태로 운영되고 있다. 영국의 ELINOR 프로젝트, 영국 eLib(Electronic Li-braries) 프로그램의 첫 번째 두 단계, 미국 DLI(Digital Library Initiative)의 첫 번째 단계 등과 같은 몇몇 디지털도서관 프로젝트는 현재 종료되었지만 몇몇 다른 프로젝트들은 전 세계의 다른 지역에서 현재 진행중이다. 본 고에서는 다양한 연구자들이 제시한 디지털도서관의정의 및 특징들에 대한 설명으로 시작하여 전 세계의 다른 지역에서 현재 진행중이거나 막 종료된 몇몇 주요 디지털도서관 프로젝트에 대해 간단히 언급하였다. 그 다음으로는 디지털도서관 연구를 16개의 주요 항목으로 구분하여 리뷰하였다. 본 리뷰를 위한 문헌은 LISA CD-ROM 데이터베이스의 탐색과 DIALOG의 문헌정보학 데이터베이스 탐색을 통해 확보하였으며 탐색 결과는 D-Lib Magazine과 Ariadne의 다양한 호들의 탐색과 디지털도서관 연구에 참여하는 다양한 기관들의 웹사이트의 탐색으로 보완되었다. 짧은 기간동안의 디지털도서관 연구를 통하여 많은 것을 배우게 되었다는 사실을 본 리뷰를 통해 알게되었다. 그러나 많은 이슈들이 해결되어야 한다. 본 고는 디지털도서관을 연구 단계로부터 실제 환경으로 발전시키기 위해 가까운 장래에 해결해야 할 연구 이슈들을 언급하는 것으로 끝을 맺는다.

도서관의 핵심역량은 서고에 축적된 방대한 아날로그 자료와 서버에 농축되는 고품질의 디지털 컨텐츠에서 발원하며, 양자의 상호작용이 강화할 때 지식정보의 타입캡슐과 게이트웨이로서의 정체성을 확보할 수 있다. 이러한 전제 하에 본 연구는 디지털 장서개발의 대상과 방법을 논급한 다음에 전자잡지의 라이선스 확보 인터넷 정보자원의 개발, 기관 레포지터리 구축 등의 전략을 다각도로 제시하였다. 어느 도서관이든 디지털 장서개발과 아카이빙에 소홀하면 정보공유지로서의 입지를 상실할 것이다.
