상온 펄스 코로나 방전 공정에 의한 NO 제거 효율 (NO Removal Efficiency by Pulsed Corona Discharge Process at Room Temperature)

  • In this study, we analyzed the NO removal efficiency by the pulsed corona discharge process and investigated the effects of several process variables such as initial concentrations of NO, $H_2O$, and NH$_3$, applied voltage, pulse frequency, diameter of the discharge electrode, and residence time. The removal efficiency of NO increased by the addition of $H_2O$ or NH$_3$, but the changes of initial NH$_3$ and $H_2O$ concentrations did not affect the removal efficiency of NO significantly. With the increases of the applied voltage or the residence time, the removal efficiency of NO increased. In addition, with the increases of the pulse frequency of applied voltage, or the diameter of the discharge electrode, the removal efficiency of NO increased. The experimental results can be used as a basis to design the pulsed corona discharge process to remove NO$_{x}$, SO$_{x}$ and VOCs.OCs.

  • We study on the Electro Optical Properties of the EEFL (External Electrode Fluorescent Lamp) Backlight system is based on the lamp type characteristics and diameter of the lamp tube under the equal manufacturing of the lamps. In this contribution, through the analysis of the different lamp type and diameter of the lamp tube gain the effective luminance and reduce the lamp voltage from aspect in the electro optical properties with EEFL and LCD backlight system.

  • Electrochemical micromachining which is not normally considered as a precision process is presented in this paper. The application of voltage Pulses between a tool electrode and a workpiece in an electrochemical environment allows the three-dimensional machining of conducting materials with micrometer precision. In this paper tool-electrodes($5\mu\textrm{m}$ in diameter, 1mm in length) are developed by electrochemical micromaching and micro holes are manufactured using this tool-electrodes we developed already. Micro holes are achieved the accuracy below $50\mu\textrm{m}$ in diameter using ultrashort voltage pulses(0.1-5$\mu\textrm{s}$).

  • In this study the system of $Pb(Mn_{1/3} Nb_{2/3})O_3-PbTiO_3-PbZrO_3$ piexoelectric ceramics was made in the radial mode disk and attenuation characteristic of the desinged ladder type filter was investigated. What is more temperature dependance of resonant frequency and variation of resonant frequency was examined by chan-ging the electrode diameter of piezoelectric resonator. (A Group : De=11mm, B Group : De=7.5mm and C Gro-up : De=5.5mm) Upon investigation it was the following. The center frequency of A, B and c filter showed up in the 200KHz, 270KHz and 380KHz respectively. As the electrode diameter decreased center frequency in creased abruptly. As the Co_2/Co1 increased attenuation characteristics and selectivity was improved. As the x=50. resonant frequ-ency invaried with variation of temperature.

  • The characteristics of ozone generation were investigated in accordance with varying the diameter of internal electrode in an ozonizer using RF power source. The characteristics of ozone generation were improved with the diameter of internal electrode increased, but thermal loss was increased. Therefore, it was found that it is inevitable that the cooler has to be installed in an ozonizer which uses RF power source.

  • In this paper, reduction characteristics of NOx gas produced from diesel engine combustion is studied by using pulse corona discharge. Nox concentration of 1900ppm (NO 1870, NO$\sub$2/ 30 ppm, N$\sub$2/ balance gas) was controlled in a fixed quantity of 280ppm, using a flow meter. Reactors are composed of cylinder type. NOx reduction rate is investigated with discharge electrode diameter[0.5,1,3,4.phi.], reactor length [130,300mm], reactor materials[Copper, Poly Vinyl Chloride] and Input voltage[DC, AC, DC Pulse square voltage]. In the result, NOx reduction rate is the best of all in copper reactor, small electrode diameter[0.5.phi.], DC pulse voltage and long reactor[300mm]. Then Teduction rate of NOx is about 93%.

  • This paper deals with the arc discharge characteristics of kerosene oil as a basic study on electrical discharge machine. Using needle electrode the discharge voltage, discharge current, discharge energy and the shape of discharge crater are measured. In consequence, it becomes clear that the discharge crater(depth, height, diameter) is depending on the discharge energy. Rapid increase in depth, height and diameter of discharge crater was observed during initial discharge, where discharge energy is large. However, rather slow decrease of those values was found when discharge energy is low or N is more than 3. As the ratio of $I_p$$T_on$ increase, the shape of discharge crater gets near circle. The protuberances of the discharge crater were not formed by the melted needle electrode but by the that of work piece.

Template Synthesis of Nitrogen-Doped Short Tubular Carbons with Big Inner Diameter and their Application in Electrochemical Sensing

  • Nitrogen-doped short tubular carbons (N-STCs) with big inner diameter have been successfully synthesized via carbonization of polydopamine (PDA) wrapped halloysite nanotubes (HNTs). The obtained N-STCs have average length of $0.3{\mu}m$ with big inner diameter (50 nm), thin wall (2-3 nm) and large surface area ($776m^2g^{-1}$), and show excellent electrochemical properties. As an example in electrochemical applications, N-STCs were used to electrochemically detect hydrogen peroxide ($H_2O_2$) and glucose. The results showed that the N-STCs modified glassy carbon (N-STCs/GC) electrode had much better analytical performance (lower detection limit and wider linear range) compared to the acid-treated carbon nanotubes (AO-CNTs) based GC electrode. The unique structure endows N-STCs the enhanced electrochemical performance and promising applications in electrochemical sensing.

  • Axial magnetic field(AMF) type electrode can increase the interrupting capability of vacuum interrupters. But, this interrupting capability vary with design parameters such as shape of electrode, slits of contact, material of contact and so on. In this paper, shown arc characteristics of unipolar axial magnetic field type electrode for vacuum interrupter by design parameters such as shape of contact slits and diameter of contact. And, confirmed vacuum arc configuration by individual design parameter using high speed camera.

Study on the Electrical Stability of Al-doped ZnO Thin Films For OLED as an alternative electrode

  • We investigated the electrical and optical properties of ZnO:Al thin films as a function of the thermal process conditions. The film was prepared by RF magnetron sputtering followed by annealing in a box furnace in air. An ZnO:Al (98:2) alloy with the purity of 99.99% (3 inch diameter) was used as the target material. The electrical properties of the transparent electrode, exhibited surface oxidation as a result of rapid oxygen absorption with increasing annealing temperature. The processed ZnO:Al films and commercial ITO(indium-tin-oxide) were applied to an OLED stack to investigate the current density and luminescence efficiency. The efficiency of the device using the ZnO:Al electrode was higher than that from the device using the ITO electrode.
