어드미턴스를 이용한 지능패널의 투과손실에 대한 연구 (Study on Transmission Loss in Smart Panel Using Admittance)

  • 이 논문에서는 압전션트를 이용한 지능패널의 투과 손실에 대해 연구하였다. 지능패널의 전기-기계 연성계수인 어드미턴스를 도입하여 션트 댐핑의 성능을 예측하였다. 유한요소를 사용하여 수치적인 어드미턴스를 계산하였고 실험결과와 비교하였다. 압전션트 시스템에서 소음 저감의 효과를 보여주기 위해 지능패널의 투과 손실을 연구하였다. 두 개의 모델을 사용하여 어드미턴스와 투과 손실과의 관계를 규명하였고 이 관계에서 어드미턴스를 지능패널의 설계 지수로 사용가능함을 발견하였다.

  • The maximum speed is one of the most important performance in high speed railway vehicle. The higher the train speed is, the worse the ride comfort is, In order to solve this problem, a semi-active or active suspension can be applied to high speed railway vehicle. The variable damper with hydraulic solenoid valve is used in the semi-active suspension. But the variable damper with hydraulic solenoid valve requires tank for supplying fluid. The MR(Magneto Rheological) damper can be considered instead of hydraulic variable damper which needs additional device, i.e. reserver tank for fluid. In the case of active suspension, hydraulic actuator or electro-mechanical one is used to suppress the carbody vibration in railway vehicle. In this study the MR damper and electro-mechanical actuator was considered in secondary suspension system of high speed railway vehicle. The dynamic analysis was performed by using 10-DOF dynamic equations of railway vehicle. The performance of the semi-active suspension and active suspension system were reviewed by using MATLAB/Simulink S/W. The vibration suppression effect of semi-active and active suspension system were investigated experimentally by using 1/5-scaled railway vehicle model.

Experiments of Force Control Algorithms for Compliant Robot Motion

  • The main objective of this paper is to analyze the performance of various force control algorithms in improving and adjusting the compliance of industrial robots in contact with their environment. Some of fundamental force control algorithms such as sensorless control, impedance control and hybrid position/force control are theoretically analyzed and simulated for various situations of an environment, and then a series of experiments using them were performed. In this paper, a control scheme to use position control in implementing the impedance control was investigated in order to nullify the effect of joint friction. The new reference trajectory is generated using contact force feedback and original desired trajectory. And an inner position control loop is designed to provide accurate position tracking for the new reference trajectory and good disturbance rejection. Experiments to insert a peg in a hole (so-called the peg-in-a-hole task) were performed with HILS (hardware-in-theloop simulation) system based on the results of the analyses and simulations on the characteristics of each control algorithm. The experiments showed that various force control methods improved the performance of robots in close contact with the environment by adjusting their compliance with respect to an arbitrary set of coordinates.

레이저빔을 이용한 티타늄 표면에서의 선택적 구리 전해도금 (Selective Electrodeposition on Titanium Surface Using Laser Beam)

  • Titanium has been used in various fields due to its good corrosion and erosion resistance, and superior mechanical properties. The process for selective electro-deposition on a titanium surface using laser beam is proposed in this paper. The process consists of laser irradiation, electro-deposition, and ultrasonic cleaning. Laser irradiation can change the surface morphology of titanium. Through laser irradiation, the surface cleaning effect and a rough surface can be achieved. The surface roughness of titanium was measured according to the laser beam conditions. The characteristics of selective electro-deposition on titanium surface according to surface roughness are investigated by various analytical methods such as SEM, and EDS.

  • This paper presents a proof-of-concept investigation on an active tension control using an ER (electro-rheological) brake actuator. Firstly, an ERF (electro-rheological fluid) which has an inherent reversible feature from Newtonian fluid to Bingham fluid upon applying an electric field is composed, and its property is tested to obtain intrinsic parameters of the Bingham model. An appropriate size of the ER brake is manufactured on the basis of the Bingham model, and dynamic characteristics of the brake are experimentally identified. After formulating a governing equation of motion of the tension control system, a sliding mode controller is designed to achieve a certain desired level of tension. Both simulation and experimental works are undertaken in order to demonstrate the efficiency and feasibility of the proposed active tension control method.

  • This paper presents development of a user-friendly automatic control system for ESR(Electro-Slag Remelting or Refining) process. It is a second-phase refining one, commonly applied to production of high-purity specialty steel. A primarily refined castingot acts as a consumable electrode and melts by the electric resistance heat generated when high current is induced through a slag bath.   • In this study, a new PWM method considering the actuation delay of high speed solenoid valves is proposed to improve the response characteristics of electro hydraulic servo systems controlled by high speed solenoid valves. In addition, the decision method for the system gain, the basic period of PWM, and the sampling time is proposed, Since the conventional system controlled by high speed solenoid valves is too slow to apply this method, a high speed driving circuit(Quick-Drive) which enables rapid switching of the high speed solenoid valve at a high speed sampling mode is applied to realize this method. The experimental result shows that it is possible to achieve precision and quiet control without occurrence of limit cycle and wide range dead band.

  • Although smoke emitted from ships is not included in IMO(International Maritime Organiztion) regulation yet, it is one of the substance what is polluting mainly the air. Especially, its concentration is very high when an engine is started and a load is rapidly changed. This is caused by unburned fuel what is injected more than necessary quantity after combustion period. It is possible to decrease smoke concentration emitted at starting engine by controlling fuel injection quantity, but it is concerned that time to rated speed must be spent. Then a governor what can reduce the smoke concentration without a loss of time to rated speed is needed. We adopted a electro-hydraulic governor what can control dual fuel start limit function and achieved very low level of smoke concentration without greater the loss of time to rated speed.

  • 전기-기계식 구동기(EMA)는 전기 모터와 기계적 동력전달 요소를 결합한 것으로 설계 자유도와 유지보수 측면에서 도심 항공 모빌리티(UAM)에 적합하다. 본 논문에서는 UAM의 로터 블레이드 피치각을 조종하는 EMA에 대한 연구 결과를 제시한다. 구동기는 역구동형 롤러 스크류를 기반하며, 2절 링크를 통하여 블레이드 피치각을 조종한다. 구동기만의 동역학과 이것을 포함한 블레이드 피치운동의 동역학 방정식을 유도하였다. 블레이드 피치 동역학 방정식의 경우 링크의 영향으로 등가 관성모멘트는 링크 각도에 따라 변한다. 넛트 운동의 관점과 블레이드 피치 운동의 관점에서 등가 관성모멘트의 변동을 분석·비교하는 과정을 제시하였다. 사례로 선정한 모델의 경우에 전자의 등가 관성모멘트 변동이 후자에 비하여 작았으며, 그래서 넛트 운동의 관점에서 유도한 모델이 제어기 설계에 적합하다고 판단한다.

자동변속기용 펄스폭변조 솔레노이드 밸브의 동특성 식별 (Dynamic characteristic identification of PWM solenoid valve for automatic transmission)

  • As most of today's automatic transmissions in passenger car adopt a electro-hydraulic control system, the role of electronically controlled solenoid valves occupies an important position and it is essential to predict solenoid transient characteristics in order to design and evaluate the performance of the hydraulic control system. However, in general, both the magnetic and electrical parameters f the solenoid system are hardly known and it is not easy to model this section with moderate complexity although mechanical system could be developed using the classical second order system. This paper presents a dynamic modelling technique of a solenoid valve, that is controlled by pulse width modulation for an automatic transmission, in terms of system identification theory. In nonlinear computer simulation, it is shown that the identified systems which produce magnetic force to input duty cycle for various excitation signals predict the static and dynamic performance very well near the operating point and in experiment conducted to confirm the validity of identification theory for PWM solenoid valve, we find that there is a good agreement between the experimental data and simulation result. Hence, this model can be utilized in the development of pressure control system with PWM solenoid valve.
