터널식 소수력 발전소의 최적 설계유량에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimum Design Flowrate for Tunnel-Type Small Hydro-Power Plants)

  • 본 연구는 터널식 소수력 발전소의 타당성 검토 기법에 관한 것으로 개발 후보지의 유량지속곡선을 작성하기 위해서 Weibull분포의 누적밀도함수와 Thiessen법을 채택하였고, 터널식 소수력 발전소의 성능예측 모델과 건설비 산정 모델이 개발되었다. 또한 한강 수계에 산재한 8개소의 개발후보지를 선정, 실측하여 이들을 대상으로 성능 특성 및 경제적 타당성을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 터널식 소수력 발전소의 경우 발전단가를 가장 낮게 하여 주는 최적 설계유량은 유량지속곡선상의 시간비가 20%에서 30%사이에 해당하는 유량이라는 것이 밝혀졌다. 또한 개발 후보지의 설계유량, 유효낙차, 설비용량, 년평균 가동율, 년간 전기 생산량 등과 같은 초기설계제원이 산정되었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 물 재이용 펌프 시스템의 에너지 효율적 운전 방법을 제안한다. 1시간 단위의 시간대에서 최적운전제어를 위해 예측구간 스위칭방법과 선형계획법을 적용하고 에너지 비용은 경부하, 중부하, 그리고 최대부하를 포함한 TOU 요금과 피크요금을 통해 산정하도록 한다. 물 재이용 펌프시스템에서의 최적운전은 TOU 요금과 피크요금을 포함한 에너지 비용을 최대로 줄일 수 있도록 수행한다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안한 최적운전방법을 적용하면 많은 전력 에너지 비용의 절감과 전력계통의 안정성 향상을 확인할 수 있다.

  • This paper discusses the optimal sizes of BESS. The goal must be optimized electricity charge of the customers-side with choosing the time-of-use rates. Therefore the cost is minimized by BESS installed the customers-side. Feasible ROR that means the ratio of capital costs to economic effect owned the optimal BESS sizes is determined the suitable domestic condition based on the battery cost and power converter system cost. Payback period times can be presented by BESS through the ROR. Multi-Pass Dynamic Programming(MPDP) algorithm is applied to the customer for the optimal sizes determination in this paper. It is to solve the optimal solution under the constraints. To investigate the efficiencies of the constraints, it is applied the typical load curve to the high-voltage customer owned Time-Of-Use(TOU) whether BESS is installed or not. Well, The result is obtained that feasible BESS sizes can be achieved the suitable customers-side of meter through the ROR.

  • This paper studies for the optimal operation of BESS. The goal must be optimized electricity charge of the customer sides owned time-of-use rates in this paper. Therefore, the least of cost is caused by BESS installation, Multi-Pass Dynamic Programming (MPDP) algorithm is applied to the customer for the optimal operation determination in this paper. It is to solve the optimal solution under the constraints. No matter how become one stage in general, problem is divided into several stage in series in this algorithm. Regardless of the decision step, MPDP is only accomplished based on the state of stage in the present. To investigate the efficiencies of the algorithm, it is applied the typical load curve to the cutomer owned Time-Of-Use(TOU). Result shows that the maximun economic benefits of the battery energy storage system can be achieved by the purposed algorithm.

신재생에너지 단독주택 모델 냉방운전의 선형계획법 기반 운전 최적화 연구 (Optimal Cooling Operation of a Single Family House Model Equipped with Renewable Energy Facility by Linear Programming)

  • Optimal cooling operation algorithm was developed based on a simulation case of a single family house model equipped with renewable energy facility. EnergyPlus simulation results were used as virtual test data. The model contained three energy storage elements: thermal heat capacity of the living room, chilled water storage tank, and battery. Their charging and discharging schedules were optimized so that daily electricity bill became minimal. As an optimization tool, linear programming was considered because it was possible to obtain results in real time. For its adoption, EnergyPlus-based house model had to be linearly approximated. Results of this study revealed that dynamic cooling load of the living room could be approximated by a linear RC model. Scheduling based on the linear programming was then compared to that by a nonlinear optimization algorithm which was made using GenOpt developed by a national lab in USA. They showed quite similar performances. Therefore, linear programming can be a practical solution to optimal operation scheduling if linear dynamic models are tuned to simulate their real equivalents with reasonable accuracy.

  • This paper reports the performance of a 150W PV-wave hybrid system with battery storage in buoy. This system was originally designed to meet a new hybrid ower system for buoy in Korea. In the case or lighted buoys and lighthouses, a light failure alarm system of wireless radio is attached so that light failures are immediately notified to the office. At lighthouse offshore fixed lights and light buoys where commercial electricity is not available, the power source depends on solar system and batteries. This power system has a various problems. Therefore energy derived from the sunshine, wind and waves has been used as the energy source lot aids to navigation. Recently a hybrid system of combining the solar, wind and the wave generator is a favorable system lot the ocean facilities like lighthouse and buoy. The hybrid system in this paper is intended for variable DC load like light, communication system in the buoy and includes a PV-wane generation system and battery. This is composed a high efficiency charging algorithm, switching converter and controller. This paper includes discussion on system reliability, power quality, and effects of hybrid system in the buoy. Simulation and experimental results show excellent performance.

제로에너지타운 내 주택 에너지 성능 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Energy Performance Evaluation of Zero Energy House in Zero Energy Town)

  • In this study, energy performance analysis of houses in zero energy demonstration town(ZeT) was carried out using the monitoring results. This ZeT was composed 29 zero energy individual houses(ZeH) which were applied passive as well as active technologies. The results are as follows. (1) Residents are generally considered to have been lacking basic mind to save energy, (2) In particular, average yearly total energy consumption per house is 12,834 kWh and specific heating energy is $53.2kWh/m^2{\cdot}yr$ which is higher than that of passive house. This is because of one of the reason just pointed out in subsection (1). (3) Most part of the residual energy load are supplied with only renewable energy, but not operating energy for geothermal heat pump which is use of cheap electricity.

지붕일체형 PV모듈의 건축특성 및 적용사례 분석연구 (A study on the Architectural Condition and Cases of BIPV-module for Roof)

  • The roof among the outer surfaces of buildings is an optimum place to install PV since it is the best favorable part in the building to be exposed to day light. Especially, in case of module of BIPV for Roof, it should have essentially the functions of both electricity generation and roof-finish as a construction material. The followings are the results of the study which has analyzed the architectural conditions and applications thereof at the job site. -The aesthetic function of BIPV module is very important because the roof, mostly located at the top of the buildings, is easily recognized and affects outer interior design of the building a lot. -The heat proof of BIPV for Roof could affect the energy consumption through the roof having a wide area. -For architectural condition to the weather, the roof has to ensure the stability of the weather, humidity proof, and airtightness to the wind respectively. -For architectural condition of the structure, endurance by physical power such as stability of both combining and fixing and transfer of load should be ensured. -For residents protection, it has also architectural functions to secure for the space and shield ozone, UV and noxious substances. -Through its practical applications, It is already confirmed that there are various types of BIPV modules overseas and its application has been proved successfully.

장기 회피 발전비용 계산에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of the Long-Term Avoided Generation Cost)

  • This paper discusses the definition and concepts, approach methodologies, capable application areas in electricity business, and tentative calculation of avoided generation costs based on the Korea's official long-term generation expansion plan. The objective to evaluate avoided costs of a resource is to supply decision makers with the breakeven cost of a targeting avoided resource. For the evaluation of avoided costs of the Korea's generation system, we consider the pseudo-DSM option which has 1,000MW peak savings, load factor with 70 percent, and life-time With 25 years as the avoided resource. The DSM resource can save the fuel and capacity additions of a electric utility during its life time. The capacity and fuel savings are evaluated from the two different cashflows with and Without the DSM option, which are generated on the basis of the generation system optimization model(WASP-II), independently. The breakeven kWh costs of the DSM option over this 25-year period is projected to be 34.1[won/kWh], which is composed of generation-capacity and fuel avoided costs with 101.139[won/kW] and 17.6[won/kWh], respectively.

  • This paper proposes a method for choosing the best transmission system expansion plan using nodal/bus delivery marginal rate criterion ($BMR_k$) defined newly in this paper. The objective method minimizes a total cost which is an investment budget for constructing new transmission lines subject to the $BMR_k$ which means a nodal deterministic reliability level requirement at specified load point. The proposed method models the transmission system expansion problem as an integer programming problem. It solves for the optimal strategy using a branch and bound method that utilizes a network flow approach and the maximum flow-minimum cut set theorem. Test results on an existing 21-bus system are included in the paper. It demonstrated the suitability of the proposed method for solving the transmission system expansion planning problem in competitive electricity market environment.
