차세대 저궤도 소형위성 적용을 위한 전력시스템 설계 (Power System Design for Next Generation LEO Satellite Application)

  • In this paper, one general approach is proposed for the design of power system that can be applicable for next generation LEO satellite application. The power system consists of solar panels, battery, and power control and distribution unit(PCDU). The PCDU contains solar array modules, battery interface modules, low-voltage power distribution modules, high-voltage distribution modules, heater power distribution modules, on-board computer interface modules, and internal DC/DC converter modules. The PCDU plays roles of protection of battery against overcharge by active control of solar array generated power, distribution of unregulated electrical power via controlled outlets to bus and instrument units, distribution of regulated electrical power to selected bus and instrument units, and provision of status monitoring and telecommand interface allowing the system and ground operate the power system, evaluate its performance and initiate appropriate countermeasures in case of abnormal conditions. We review the functional schemes of the main constitutes of the PCDU such as the battery interface module, the auxiliary supply module, solar array regulators with maximum power point tracking(MPPT) technology, heater power distribution modules, spacecraft unit power distribution modules, and instrument power distribution module.

  • When using a secondary battery in energy storage units, if the grid is in light duty the active power is stored so it can be used when the grid is in heavy duty. This makes possible for the load equalize and make the grid optimized. Recently the government is trying to propagate this technology. Depending on its capacity this kind of electric energy storage unit is used in adjusting the frequency, break up the energy peak in summer and winter, stabilize the energy output of renewable energy which can change unstably because of the environment. Which makes it possible to stabilize the grid. It is anticipated that market of 120 trillion won will be developed worldwide in 2030. Currently in Korea a steady supply is in progress. However because of stray electromagnetic waves some other electronics are malfunctioning. This paper covers the research in the method to detect the emission noise in small electric energy storage units using lithium secondary batteries and battery management system, Power conditioning systems with CIPSR standards. And the research of a more efficient method to measure such stray electromagnetic waves.

선로용량한계를 고려한 단기 발전계획 (Short-Term Generation Scheduling Considering Transmission Line Capacity Limits)

  • This paper proposes an effective algorithm for short-term generation scheduling for the purpose of economic and secure operation of thermal power systems. Especially, in the procedure of solution by Dynamic Programming, Linear Programming is introduced to promote the possibility of optimal solution and the security of power systems, and evaluation of security function is improved by the application of seven step approximation of normal distribution. Several necessary considerations, that is, time dependent start-up and constant down cost of generating units, demand and spinning reserve constraints, minimum up and sown time constraints, the number of possible start-up of a generating unit in a d and the number of generating units which can be started up at the same time at the same bus, are also incoporated to elevate the usability and flexibility of the algorithm. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm has been demonstrated by applying to the 6-gen. 21-bus model power system.

  • This paper presents a dynamic programming sucdessive approximation algorithm for scheduling pumped storage hydro plants and shows how this method can be coordinated with the commitment of the thermal units of the system. The general object of operation of pumped hydrostorage plants is the minimization of the overall production cost and the maximization of generation reserves. The basic procedure used to obtain a combined pumped storage-unit commitment schedule is to execute the pumped storage scheduler and unit commitment scheduler iteratively. A combined DPSA algorithm has been presented to coordinate the scheduling of the pumped storage with the scheduling of the thermal units.

  • Purpose: Using international specifications, this study classified international standards and automobile manufacturers' test items based on the kind of test used and determined the test order for ISO 16750. Methods: The effects of international standards' environmental factors were examined, based on the major impacts of the product and the results of product failure. Automobile manufacturers' test items were compared with the test item in the ISO 16750. A generic algorithm was then used to determine the test sequence for ISO 16750. Results: International standards and automobile manufacturers' common test items were classified. The test sequence of ISO 16750 was determined for five cases. Conclusion: Although mechanical and environmental tests share many common features, there are differences in the details of the tests. There is a common sequence of tests, but weights are allocated tests differently.

병렬 타부 탐색법을 이용한 대규모의 발전기 기동정지계획 (Large Scale Unit Commitment Using Parallel Tabu Search)

  • This paper proposes a method of solving a unit commitment problem using parallel tabu search(PTS) approach. Tabu search is a heuristic optimization method that has the tabu list to control the search process. To improve the searching ability of a global solution, we used a method of exchanging solutions among connected processors as a diversification strategy, and to reduce the computation time, a new evaluating method was proposed which evaluates only a changed par. To show the usefulness of the proposed method, we simulated for 10 units system and 110 units system. Numerical results show improvements in the generation costs and the computation time compared with other conventional methods.

  • The 74181 is arithmetic logic units(ALU)/function generator. This circuit performs 16 binary arithmetic operations on two 4-bit words. And a full carry look-ahead scheme is made available in this device. The 74181 can also be utilized as a comparator. This circuit has been also designed to provide 16 possible functions of two Boolean variables without the use of external circuitry. This paper analyzes the function of the logic and the implementation adopted in the design of 74181. The understanding of the logic characteristics of this chip enables us to improve future applications.

  • A molecular photodiode was fabricated with hetero-Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) film consisting of an electron accepter(A) and sensitizer. N-Allyl-N-[3-propylamido-N\",N\"-야(n-octadecyl)]-4,4-bipyridum Dibromide and 7,8-dimethyl-10-dodecyl isoalloxan-zine were used as A and S units, respectively. By aligning hefter-LB film of A/S units on ITO glass with an aluminium thin film, a molecular photodiode with the structure of Metal/Insulator/Metal(MIM) was constructed. Due to excitation by irradiation with a 460nm monochromatic light source, the photo-induced unidirectional flow of electrons in the MIM device could be achieved and was detected as photocurrents. The direction of energy flow was in accordance with the energy level profile across the LB films. The photo switching function was achieved and the rectifying characteristics was obserbed in the molecular devise.

배전선로 회선별단선도 자동생성 알고리즘 (An Auto-drawing Algorithm for the Single Line Diagram of Distribution Systems)

  • Distribution Automation System(DAS) is designed to improve operational efficiency by acquisition and control of remote data using its components such as central computation units, communication network and feeder remote terminal units. A conventional human machine interface of the DAS adopts a schematic diagram which is made by drawing power equipments on the geographic information system map. The single line diagram is more useful than the schematic diagram for the main tasks of distribution system operation such as protective relay coordination, service restoration and loss minimization. Since the configuration of the distribution line is changed according to the relocation of the open tie switches, the auto-drawing algorithm based on the connection between the sections and the switches is an essential technique. This paper proposes a new auto-drawing algorithm for a single line diagram of distribution systems based on tertiary tree and collision avoidance method. The feasibility of the proposed algorithm has been testified for various cases using practical distribution system with 12 feeders.

  • The matrix-type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) using YBCO thin film consists of the trigger and current-limiting parts. We fabricated the matrix-type SFCL with the integrated current limiting modules. we carried out the experiment of matrix-type SFCL with the integrated current limiting modules connected in series or parallel. We saw current characteristics due to ratio of change the shunt resistance and turns. We confirmed that the difference of critical current between superconducting units was decreased by increment of current flowing into the reactor which applied the magnetic field into the superconducting units..
