  • Railway signal interlocking device with the reverse unit control device which is most important from country season, the subway and the high-speed railroad back, electric relay boarding and lodging accomplishes the master and servant and it comes and before from the Japanese back and an electronic interlocking device, a zone one interest in updated technology introduction Great Britain, Germany, Sweden and the United States, it quarrels about under developing it puts to practical use even from our country it shows. Consequently is enormous a system well expense at the foreign corporation about under paying Oh!, it understands, with difficult always it is exposed to it is an actuality in the accident which is dangerous. In like this point of view first piece which is important securing safety of system from electronic anger of electronic interlocking device.

  • This paper describes the structure modeling and operation characteristics of MFMIS(metal-ferroelectric-metal-insulator-semiconductor) device using the Tsuprem4 which is a semiconductor device tool by Avanti. MFMIS device is being studied for nonvolatile memory application at various semiconductor laboratory but it is difficult to fabricate and analyze MFMIS devices using the semiconductor simulation tool: Tsuprem4, medici and etc. So the new library and new materials parameters for adjusting ferroelectric material and platinum electrodes in the tools are studied. In this paper structural model and operation characteristics of MFMIS devices are measured, which can be easily adopted to analysis of MFMIS device for nonvolatile memory device application.

  • Along with response of the Climactic Change Convention, the government is demanding a measuring and reporting system for green-house gas emission and energy consumption on the railroad sector in order to make a transition to a low carbon green railroad system. According to the plans to electric railway line and increase the number of electric rolling stock, the electric consumption is increasing more than the consumption of diesel. Therefore, the development of monitoring device for green-house gases became important issue. In this study we developed a prototype of the monitoring system for estimating electric consumption. This study is expected to make accurate GHG emission inventory and be used to have confidence of emission factor.

  • 전력IT 성과물인 지능형송전, 능동형텔레메트리스, 디지털 변전, 배전지능화 시스템의 데이터를 CIM 기반의 국제 표준 프로토콜을 사용하여 취득할 SPG 주장치인 PGOMS를 구축하였다. 또한 전력계통의 안정도를 평가하는 위기관리시스템, 계통전압이 정격 범위내에서 유지되도록 발전기 출력 등을 자동제어하는 VMS(Voltage Management System)시스템. 송전선로용 볼센서, 변전소 주변압기 열화감시용 센서, GIS(Gas Insulation Switchgear) 감시용 센서 등을 사용하여 전력기기의 열화감시를 온라인 감시하는 능동형텔레메트릭스 시스템. 변전소내의 보호계전기와 제어부, 통신부가 통합된 (IED: Intelligent Electronic Device)기반의 디지털 변전시스템. 변전소 SCADA와 배전자동화를 하나의 시스템에서 처리하고, 분산전원을 통합 운영할 수 있는 배전지능화 시스템을 구축하였다.

  • A lot of conventional automotive components driven by mechanical power source are being replaced with electrical ones to comply with the demands of market and customer, therefore the amount of electric energy used in a vehicle will be increased continuously. The increment of electric power demand causes interest on new higher power system such as 42V Power Net, and furthermore necessity for development of energy storage device is highlighted recently. This paper present the design of the BLDC motor for electric air-conditioner in 42V system and compare with the characteristics of several type BLDC motor.

  • 원자력 발전소는 증기발생기에서 생산된 고온, 고압의 증기를 사용하여 발전기와 직결된 터빈을 돌려 전기를 생산한다. 대용량 회전체인 터빈은 터빈제어 시스템에 의해 적절한 회전수로 제어되고, 보호 장치에 의해 예기치 못한 위험한 상태로부터 보호되고 있다. 이 보호 장치는 어떠한 상황에서도 터빈을 안전하게 보호할 수 있도록 정확하게 동작하여야 한다. 발전소에서는 이러한 장치의 중요성 때문에 운전 중에도 이 장치의 정확한 동작과 기능을 확인하기 위한 주기적인 시험을 하고 있다. 이 논문에서는 장기간 사용으로 전자 제어카드가 노후 되고 고장 시 대체할 수 있는 예비품의 확보가 어려워 신뢰성이 저하된 원자력 발전소의 기존 아날로그형식의 터빈제어시스템과 보호 장치를 내고장성 디지털형식으로 개발하여 현장에 적용하기 전에 실시한 제어시스템 및 보호 장치 시험과 그 결과를 소개하고자 한다.

  • The most important thing to secure safety and reliability of railway vehicles is to verify performance characteristics of equipments, and related companies or research institutes had many efforts to verify performances and functions of equipments synthetically and efficiently. KHST(Korean High Speed Train) has been developed by KRRI (Korea Railroad Research Institute). An electric railway system is composed of high-tech subsystems, among which main electric equipment such as transformers and converter are critical components determining the performance of rolling stock. We developed a measurement system for on-line test and evaluation of performances of KHST. The measurement system is composed of software part and hardware part. Perfect interface between multi-users is possible. A new method to measure temperature was applied to the ]measurement system. By using the system, fault diagnosis and performance evaluation of electric equipment in Korean High Speed Train was conducted during test running.

  • Electrical energy is playing an increasingly vital role as the primary energy source in everyday life. With the increase in electric power consumption, power facilities are under an increasing stress and must operate at a high capacity. Consequently, the demand for electric power cables in power transmission and distribution lines is rapidly increasing. Underground distribution lines have been steadily replacing the aboveground lines owing to the increase in electric power demand and the need to increase the supply voltage. In addition to line damage, worker safety is of primary concern in this type of underground infrastructure. In this study, to improve the safety of workers dealing with underground transmission lines, we analyzed the electromagnetic field generated around the distribution line and determined the basic criteria for developing a device that can detect a live underground line.

  • In this work, an ER clutch has been constructed and its characteristics have been evaluated by adapting an electro-rheological fluid(ERF) as an operating medium. ER fluids are suspensions which show an abrupt increase in rheological properties under electric fields. An ER clutch system using ER fluid is a new conception device because an apparent viscosity of ER fluid can be changed by apply an electric field. As a first, Bingham properties of ER fluids are experimentally distilled as a function of electric field. We use the disk type ER clutch in which the ER fluid fills the annular space between a pair of coaxial disk electrodes and experiment results show that the measured revolution per minute was increased with the increase of the electric field. The ER fluid used in the present study consists of weight fraction 35% in zeolite suspended silicone oil.

A study of nano-scale electrical discharge characteristics for automotive sensor applications

  • To study the relationship between spark ignition and the gap in the nano-scale region, the electric potential was applied to between a Pt-Ir tip and a gold substrate. The tip was sharpened by electro-chemical etching process in the solution of $CaCl_2;H_2O$ and acetone. The radius of tip was measured to be around 200nm and attached to the scanning probe microscope to control the gap between the tip and the substrate. The electric potential of 10V to 80V was applied to initialize the spark. The gaps and the current profile were measured to analyze the characteristics of spark ignition. A spark sustaining time was measured to be between 50ns and 200ns depending on the applied electric potential and the gap between the electrodes. The continuous electric discharge was successfully sustained up to 1 second of spark or arc time. The developed process can be applicable to the micro-scale fabrication of automotive sensors as a similar concept of GTAW.
