기기별 전력 모니터링 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Electric Power Monitoring System per Appliance)

  • 본 연구에서는 일반 가정에서 Smart Grid를 통하여 누릴 수 있는 서비스를 발굴하고, 이러한 서비스를 구현할 수 있는 기기별 전력 모니터링 시스템을 구현하였으며, 모니터링한 데이터를 분석하였다. 기기별 전력 사용현황을 수집하고 이를 분석함으로써, 모니터링 시스템에 표시되고 있는 전력사용현황이 어떤 기기의 전력사용현황인지 사전에 정의된 프로토콜 없이 알 수 있다. 나아가서 전력 절감 방법 제시, 지능적인 대기전력 차단 및 복구, 기기의 이상여부 감시와 같은 서비스를 구현할 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 시나리오의 실현 가능성을 점검하기 위해 기기별 전력 모니터링 시스템을 개발하여 가정 내 전력소비의 대부분을 차지하는 냉장고, 전기밥솥, TV, 세탁기 샘플에 대하여 전력소비패턴을 수집하여 database화 하였다. 또한 이 database를 분석하여 제시한 서비스들을 구현하는데 필요한 기본 기능인 기기식별이 전력사용 패턴분석을 통하여 가능함을 보였다.

Analysis on the Operation of a Charging Station with Battery Energy Storage System

  • Fossil oil, as the main energy of transportation, is destined to be exhausted. The electrification of transportation is a sustainable solution to the energy crisis, since electric power could be acquired from the inexhaustible sun, wind and water. Among all the problems that hinder the development of Electric Vehicle (EV) industry, charging issue might be the most prominent one. In this paper, the service process of a charging station with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is analyzed by means of $Cram{\acute{e}}r$ - Lundberg model which has been intensively utilized in ruin theory. The service quality is proposed in two dimensions: the service efficiency and the service reliability. The arrival rate and State of Charge (SOC) upon arrival are derived from 2009 National Household Travel Survey (NHTS). The simulations are performed to show how the service quality is determined by the system parameters such as the number of servers, the service rate, the initial capacity, the charge rate and the maximum waiting time. At last, the economic analysis of the system is conducted and the best combination of the system parameters are given.

A DQN-based Two-Stage Scheduling Method for Real-Time Large-Scale EVs Charging Service

  • With the rapid development of electric vehicles (EVs) industry, EV charging service becomes more and more important. Especially, in the case of suddenly drop of air temperature or open holidays that large-scale EVs seeking for charging devices (CDs) in a short time. In such scenario, inefficient EV charging scheduling algorithm might lead to a bad service quality, for example, long queueing times for EVs and unreasonable idling time for charging devices. To deal with this issue, this paper propose a Deep-Q-Network (DQN) based two-stage scheduling method for the large-scale EVs charging service. Fine-grained states with two delicate neural networks are proposed to optimize the sequencing of EVs and charging station (CS) arrangement. Two efficient algorithms are presented to obtain the optimal EVs charging scheduling scheme for large-scale EVs charging demand. Three case studies show the superiority of our proposal, in terms of a high service quality (minimized average queuing time of EVs and maximized charging performance at both EV and CS sides) and achieve greater scheduling efficiency. 대수용가 공급 신뢰도 조사 (The Electric Service Reliability Investigation of the large Customers)

  • An important aspects of power system design involves consideration of service reliability requirements of load to be supplied and service reliability provided by any proposed system. This paper shows the investigation of the 1984 KEPCO service reliability to the large electric consumer whose contracted maximum demand is over 500 kw. 68 customers of the total 111 investigated are located in Myungdong area and Yuido in Seoul. Of the customers are included hotel Lotte, Giobo and Seoul national University Hospital. The average service reliability of Myungdong area customers is 316min/yr/customer and about 7 times/yr/customer, and 160 min, 6 times for Yuido. Which the service reliability the interruption and the interruption frequency which caused by the customers receiving facilities were showed. The investigation is telling that the service reliability of the underground distribution area are very superior to the other area reliability. The investigated reliability seem not appropriate to be improved by change of distribution System as well as equipments and facilities improvement in the near future.

  • 배터리 교체형 전기버스는 친환경 공공교통 수단이다. 그러나 기술적 한계로 인하여, 이 버스는 소모된 배터리를 충전된 배터리로 반복해서 교체해야 한다. 현재 국내에서 연구 중인 배터리 자동 교체형 전기버스는 배터리 무인 자동교체소에서 자동으로 배터리를 교체할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 배터리 자동 교체형 전기버스 운영 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 두 가지 서비스를 제공한다. 첫째, 이 시스템은 버스 도착 알림 서비스를 제공한다. 이 서비스는 기존 대도시에서 서비스 중인 버스정보시스템의 기능으로, 버스 승객들에게 버스를 얼마나 기다려야 하는지를 알려준다. 둘째, 배터리 교체 스케줄링 서비스를 제공한다. 이 서비스는 배터리 잔량이 얼마 남아있지 않거나 배터리 교체를 원하는 버스를 완충된 배터리를 저장하고 있는 배터리 무인 자동교체소로 할당하는 역할을 한다. 제안된 시스템을 검증하기 위해서 시스템을 DEVS형식론으로 모델링하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 제안된 시스템은 위의 서비스들을 충실히 수행함을 알 수 있었다.

  • This paper discusses solutions for forward link power allocation based on 3GPP(FDD) standardization reports and which meet the required Eb/No of forward link channels. In addition, the forward link user capacity in a mixed service environment. Cell coverage is induced from the user capacity solutions using the urban propagation model. In an urban macrocell environment, the forward link user capacity turns out to be roughly 29 and 3, respectively, for voice and data service (144 kbps) at a distance of 1 km, and in an urban microcell environment, the user capacity turns out to be Toughly 14, 4, and 2, respectively, for voice and two data services (144 kbps, 384 kbps) when the cell radius is 0.2 km.

  • In recent years, it has been a worldwide trend that many power utilities gave their attention to develop and operate their power plants, substation and distribution systems. Following this trend, KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation) has developed many electric automation systems with various communication networks. It has been natural that the automation systems are just focused on to remote devices when they come to be designed. But, we have to shift the focus to the automation system itself. We have developed the Multi-service Optical Transmission System (M-OTS) for electrical power systems. It can be adopt to not only distribution power field but also the transmission power field. The result strongly shows that the system is potentially beneficial in reliability, speed, and expandability. This paper presents some of initial design efforts and results toward a KEPCO's communication system in distribution areas.
