Equipment Qualification of a Safety-related Large Induction Motor for Nuclear Power Plants (원자력발전소 안전등급 대형유도전동기의 기기검증)

  • A safety-related equipment for use in Nuclear Power Plant should be needed an Equipment Qualification. This paper presents the approach, methods, philosophies, and procedures for qualifying the large squirrel-cage induction electric pump motors for use in ULCHIN 5&6 Nuclear Power Plants. In this paper, the method of qualification is a combination of type test and analysis method, which is composed of Radiation exposure test, Seismic simulation test, Thermal aging analysis for non-metallic materials and Seismic analysis. It is found that the motor performs its safety function with no failure mechanism under postulated service conditions.

  • This dissertation suggests and implements a middle level network which is called PICNET-NP (Plant Implementation and Control Network for Nuclear Power Plant). PICNET-NP is based partly on IEEE 802.4 token-passing bus access method and partly on IEEE 802.3 physical layer. For this purpose a new interface a physical layer service translator, is introduced. A control network using this method is implemented and applied to a distributed real-time system. To verify the performance of proposed protocol experimental were carried out, and the following results are obtained. 1) proper initialization of the protocol. 2) normal receiving and transmission of data. 3) proper switching of transmission media in case of a fault condition on the one of transmission media. The proposed protocol exhibits the excellent performance in the experimental system. From the test results in the experimental system, the proposed protocol, PICNET-NP, can be used for the upgrading of a nuclear power plant and the distributed control system in the next generation of nuclear power plant.

  • The Electromagnetic Interference could occur due to power line on the telecommunication service. The Countermeasure is practised by legal law. Various affecting factors are described in the law. In this paper, an effect by pipeline especially in the ground, power feeding plant, and curved railway sector is analyzed as environmental factors which are not included in the law. By the practical measurement, it appears that the measured voltages on the spots with underground pipeline are grouped into lower voltage level, induced voltage tends to be high near power feeding plant, and also in the curved railway line. These analytical results can be meaningly considered in the application of countermeasure.

Determining the Reference Voltage of 345 kV Transmission System Considering Economic Dispatch of Reactive Power (무효전력 경제급전을 고려한 345㎸ 송전계통의 기준 전압 설정 방법)

  • In the cost based pool market in Korea, there is no compensation of reactive power because the fuel cost for reactive power is relatively low compared to that of active power. However, the change of energy paradigm in the future, such as widespread integration of distributed renewable energy source, will prevent the system operator from mandating the reactive power supply without any compensation. Thus, in this study, we propose the reference voltage of the 345 kV transmission system that minimizes the reactive power supply. This is closely related to the economic dispatch of reactive power aiming at minimizing the compensation cost for the reactive power service. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed reference voltage, the simulations are performed using the IEEE 14 bus system and the KEPCO real networks. The simulation results show that a voltage lower than the current reference value is recommended to reduce the reactive power supply and also suggest that the current voltage specification for the 345 kV system needs to be reviewed.

  • 선진 전력시장의 경우, 전력산업의 환경변화에 따라 소비자의 역할이 증대되고 있으며 이와 더불어 IT 기반의 다양한 소비자 중심의 전력부가서비스의 개발이 시도되고 있거나 일부 제공되고 있다. 이러한 서비스의 발전은 시간이 흐르면서 단방향이 아닌 양방향 통신 기반의 소비자 중심 서비스에 대한 연구로 확대되고 있다. 특히, 미국 EPRI의 IntelliGrid 컨소시엄에서 제시한 수용가 포탈 시스템은 소비자 영역내의 장비와 에너지 서비스 기관 간의 양방향 통신을 전제함으로써 이루어지는 통합적인 개념의 서비스 기반으로써, 공급자를 포함한 ESP(Energy Service Provider)와 소비자는 수용가 포탈을 기반으로 원활한 커뮤니케이션을 수행하고 그 결과를 이용한 부가적 이익을 누릴 수 있게 된다. 이에 비해 국내의 전력부가서비스 제공 수준은 이제 겨우 시작 단계에 불과하지만, 서비스에 대한 인식 정도와 IT기술의 발전 속도를 생각해 본다면 머지않아 국내 전력산업에서도 현재의 서비스 제공 수준을 한 단계 넘어선 양방향 통신 기반의 수준 높은 전력부가서비스를 요구하게 될 것이다. 따라서, 국내 환경에 적합한 수용가 포탈 시스템 기반의 전력부가서비스 창출은 수용가에게는 비용 절감이 가능한 합리적인 소비를 제시하고, ESP(Energy Service Provider)에게는 부하·수요관리 및 투자비를 절감할 수 있는 기회를 제공해야 할 것이다. 본 논문에서는 새로운 전력부가서비스 기반인 수용가 포탈시스템을 분석하고, 현행 전력부가서비스의 현황과 동향 분석, 적용가능 기술 분석, 타 산업 벤치마킹을 통해 국내환경에 적합한 수용가 포탈 시스템 기반의 전력부가서비스 선정 및 구축 방안을 제시하고자 한다.원 사용이 가능하도록 설계하였다.서버로 분산처리하게 함으로써 성능에 대한 신뢰성을 향상 시킬 수 있는 Load Balancing System을 제안한다.할 때 가장 효과적인 라우팅 프로토콜이라고 할 수 있다.iRNA 상의 의존관계를 분석할 수 있었다.수안보 등 지역에서 나타난다 이러한 이상대 주변에는 대개 온천이 발달되어 있었거나 새로 개발되어 있는 곳이다. 온천에 이용하고 있는 시추공의 자료는 배제하였으나 온천이응으로 직접적으로 영향을 받지 않은 시추공의 자료는 사용하였다 이러한 온천 주변 지역이라 하더라도 실제는 온천의 pumping 으로 인한 대류현상으로 주변 일대의 온도를 올려놓았기 때문에 비교적 높은 지열류량 값을 보인다. 한편 한반도 남동부 일대는 이번 추가된 자료에 의해 새로운 지열류량 분포 변화가 나타났다 강원 북부 오색온천지역 부근에서 높은 지열류량 분포를 보이며 또한 우리나라 대단층 중의 하나인 양산단층과 같은 방향으로 발달한 밀양단층, 모량단층, 동래단층 등 주변부로 NNE-SSW 방향의 지열류량 이상대가 발달한다. 이것으로 볼 때 지열류량은 지질구조와 무관하지 않음을 파악할 수 있다. 특히 이러한 단층대 주변은 지열수의 순환이 깊은 심도까지 가능하므로 이러한 대류현상으로 지표부근까지 높은 지온 전달이 되어 나타나는 것으로 판단된다.의 안정된 방사성표지효율을 보였다. $^{99m}Tc$-transferrin을 이용한 감염영상을 성공적으로 얻을 수 있었으며, $^{67}Ga$-citrate 영상과 비교하여 더 빠른 시간 안에 우수한 영상을 얻을 수 있었다. 그러므로 $^{99m}Tc$-transierrin이 감염 병소의 영상진단

  • The firmware upgrade, which is remotely performed, is an essential function in smart metering or AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure). In other words, the AMI software and firmware can be switched for maintaining and improvement without replacement of H/W devices in AMI environment. Also, if number and type of devices are increase, the demand of remote update service will be increased. Through the firmware upgrade service remotely, the electric power corporation may be able to benefit various fields. For example, there are to adapt more easily in many environments, real-time service and to cut maintenance costs. In this paper, we proposed to design an international level FUMS(Firmware Upgrade Management System) which includes requirement function, architecture and protocol related with DCU, Smart Meter.

  • The addition of switches to a distribution feeder does, in general, increase reliability by decreasing the duration of the outage of many to the customers on the feeder. To cover its service area so that feeder-level delivery reaches sufficiently close to all customers, feeders typically split their routes many times, in what is often called a lateral feeder. It is interesting to note, however, that the effectiveness of a switch is very much dependent on the types of lateral feeder. The types of lateral are classified into two types. The first is loop lateral feeder that can connect its load to an adjacent feeder through a tie line in case that a fault occurs in its feeder and it is laid out so that every feeder has complete fault backup through re-switching of its loads to other sources like a main feeder The second is the radial lateral feeder cannot connect its load to an adjacent line, no provision is made for contingency backup of feeders. There are no other circuits in the radial lateral feeder form which to restore power. In this study, we evaluate the effectiveness of a switch installation between on the radial and loop lateral feeders to increase reliability by decreasing the duration of the outage. These results can help power utility to design the switch layouts on the radial and loop lateral feeder system.

  • Electronic watt hour meters(WHM) for high pressure running in domestic were installed to the digital type meter and ones for low pressure are expected to complete within several years. Domestic power metering technology is being beyond a simple framework with an electronic type and is rapidly evolving to intelligent smart metering systems in conjunction with promotion of a national smart grid project. Major policy outlook of the world's major power company regarding Intelligent metering is the application of the fare structure diversification and is the improvement of level of service to customers. In addition, electric power companies should focus on the cost reduction and the improvement of management efficiency through an efficient operation of distribution facility. In this paper, we are about to make an observation of the additional services technology development trend of the overseas smart meter and to have a view of value-added services(VAS) system of smart meter suitable for the domestic environment based on the technology development of VAS utilizing electronic watt hour meter performed by recent research projects.

  • The tubes in heat exchanger are typically made from copper alloy, stainless steel, carbon steel, titanium alloy material. type-439 ferritic stainless steel is ferromagnetic material, and furnish higher heat transfer rates than austenitic stainless steels and higher resistance to corrosion-induced flaws. Ferritic stainless steel can typically be found in low-pressure(LP) feedwater heaters and moisture separator reheaters(MSRs). LP feedwater heaters generally utilize thin wall type-439 stainless steel tubing, whereas MSRs typically employ a heavier wall tubing with integral fins. Service-induced damage can occur on the OD(outside diameter) surface of type-439 ferritic stainless steel tubing which is employed for MSRs tubing, and the most typical damage mechanism is vibration-induced tube-to-TSP(tube support plate) wear and fatigue cracking. The wear has been reported that occurs mainly on the OD surface. Accordingly, in this study, we have evaluated the flaw sizing capability of magnetic saturation eddy current technique using magnetic saturation probe and flawed specimen.
