  • 항만공사는 항만을 관리하는데 가장 유용한 형태이다. 우리나라는 이와 같은 항만공사를 곧 부산에 설립하려고 한다. 그러나 가덕도에 위치하는 부산신항은 행정구역으로는 부산과 경상남도에 걸쳐 위치하고 있기 때문에 항만관리체계의 형태가 불투명하다. 연구의 방법론은 속성간 중복도를 고려하여 연산 할 수 있는 계층퍼지분석법(HFP)을 이용하였다.

  • A surface mount machine operation policy to assemble printed circuit boards is being developed in this research. The policy includes how to assign electronic components to slots on a component rack, and how to determine placement sequences on printed circuit board. The suggested heuristic uses information about component types and closeness relationships in each component on the board to assemble. First, the size of components and closeness ratings are used to divide them into two different size groups. Then rack assignment and placement routes are developed using component type and quantity information for a small size group, and followed by a large size group. Simulation models are developed using Visual C++ for performance evaluation of the heuristic. Necessary statistical analyses are provided to show the effectiveness of the suggested heuristic.

Design of ATM Networks with Multiple Traffic Classes

  • In this paper, we propose a new heuristic design algorithm for the virtual path (VP)-based ATM network with multiple traffic classes, in which QoS constraints associated with traffic class are taken into account. The minimum bandwidth of VP required to carry given amount of traffic is obtained by utilizing an equivalent bandwidth concept, and the route of each VP is placed so that the network cost is minimized while the QoS requirement is fulfilled To evaluate our design algorithm, we consider two kinds of traffic: voice traffic as low speed service and still picture traffic as high speed service. Through numerical examples, we demonstrate that our design method can achieve an efficient use of network resources, which results in providing a cost-effective VP-based ATM network.

  • The purpose of this paper is to improve the operation performance of unit-load Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV's) used as a carrier and mobile workstation in a flow-shop type flexible manufacturing system. An algorithm is developed to determine the optimal job sequence which minimizes the vehicle idle time on the line and the production makespan by the use of the entering interval and travel time between workcenters. An entering times of AGV's and the minimum number of AGV's required are calculated by optimal job sequence. When the numbe rof AGV's is limited, enterling times of AGV's are adjusted to maximize the efficient use of vehicles. A numerical example is given to illustrate the application of the algorithm.

혼합모델 양면조립라인의 밸런싱과 투입순서를 위한 내공생 진화알고리즘 (An Endosymbiotic Evolutionary Algorithm for Balancing and Sequencing in Mixed-Model Two-Sided Assembly Lines)

  • This paper presents an endosymbiotic evolutionary algorithm (EEA) to solve both problems of line balancing and model sequencing in a mixed-model two-sided assembly line (MMtAL) simultaneously. It is important to have a proper balancing and model sequencing for an efficient operation of MMtAL. EEA imitates the natural evolution process of endosymbionts, which is an extension of existing symbiotic evolutionary algorithms. It provides a proper balance between parallel search with the separated individuals representing partial solutions and integrated search with endosymbionts representing entire solutions. The strategy of localized coevolution and the concept of steady-state genetic algorithms are used to improve the search efficiency. The experimental results reveal that EEA is better than two compared symbiotic evolutionary algorithms as well as a traditional genetic algorithm in solution quality.

  • It gradually becomes important to study on how to efficiently integrate and manage plant lifecycle data such as 2D schematic and 3D solid data, logical configuration data, and equipment specifications data. From this point of view, converting plant design data from various systems into neutral data independent from any commercial systems is one of important technologies for the operation and management of plants which usually have a very long period of life. In order to achieve this goal, a neutral model for efficient integration and management of plant data was defined. After schema mapping between one of specification-driven plant design systems and the neutral model was performed, a plant data translator is also implemented according to the mapping result. Finally, by experiments with nuclear power plant design, the feasibility of the translator was demonstrated.

  • Manufacturing environments in the real world are subject to many sources of change and uncertainty, such as new job releases, job cancellations, a chance in the processing time or start time of some operation. Thus, the realistic scheduling method should Properly reflect these dynamic environment. Based on the release times of jobs, JSSP (Job Shoe Scheduling Problem) can be classified as static and dynamic scheduling problem. In this research, we mainly consider the dynamic JSSP with continually arriving jobs. The goal of this research is to develop an efficient scheduling method based on GA (Genetic Algorithm) to address dynamic JSSP. we designed scheduling method based on SGA (Sing1e Genetic Algorithm) and PGA (Parallel Genetic Algorithm) The scheduling method based on GA is extended to address dynamic JSSP. Then, This algorithms are tested for scheduling and rescheduling in dynamic JSSP. The results is compared with dispatching rule. In comparison to dispatching rule, the GA approach produces better scheduling performance.

목표계획법을 활용한 군 공역 및 사격장 할당 모형 연구 (A Study of Allocation of Military Airspace and Range Using Goal Programming)

  • The territorial air that our sovereignty is being applied to is divided into several zones and areas. In order to use and manage them effectively, these zones and areas have laws, regulations and rules. The number of airspaces (MOA : Military Operation Area) and Ranges that are used in the military are limited and many airbases are being used for training. Currently the central department manages some, and the rest are independent airbases. Therefore, efficient allocation is not performed and the result occurs where airspaces and ranges are allocated unnecessarily. This is increasing the workload of staff leading to unnecessary re-work. To slove problem, this study proposed models for allocating airspaces and ranges using goal programming with multi-objective functions of minimizing the deviations of the target values.

  • 사내에서 발생한 각종 기술정보를 입력시킨 쌍용양회의 사내 기술정보 검색System(STIS-II)과 STIS-II의 Software COHIRES의 일반적 특징과 활용현황에 대하여 소개하였다. STIS-II의 주요 입력 data는 연구소 연구보고서, 현장개선보고서, 국내외 출장보고서 등 사내에서 발생되는 기술정보가 주가되고 있으며 그 밖에도 국내에서 발간되는 각종 학 협회지와 특허까지 포함시켰다.
