  • 최근 IT기술의 발달과 고속, 고밀도 운행을 요구하는 철도시스템에서 기존의 궤도회로기반 열차제어방식에서 새로운 개념을 도입한 통신을 이용한 열차제어로 변화가 됨과 동시에 유지보수의 효율화, 승객서비스 증대에 따라 철도시스템에서 무선통신이 중요한 역할은 담당하는 위치로 변경되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 철도시스템에서 통신의 역할을 분석하고, 수송력향상과 안전 확보 및 효율적인 열차제어를 위한 무선통신망 구축방안으로 국외의 사례 비교 및 검토를 기반으로 효과적인 방안으로 제시함으로써 철도시스템을 위한 최적의 철도 무선통신망의 구축을 도모하고자 한다.

  • Railway signaling safety system organizes equipments and facilities of railway, increases transport efficiency and assures safe operation of railway. In the early days of signaling system railway managers made sure of safety by using relay logic technology based on fail-safe concept. But the development result of computer and science having been introduced to railway industry, railway signaling equipments begin to be operated through micro electronic control system. Accordingly high speed and high density operation of train became possible. Software reliability and safety technology that controls important systems of railway was highlighted. In the middle of 1990s the standard or guideline of railway reliability and safety were studied and established, and are being reviewing in Europe, Japan etc. Our reliability and safety technology have depended largely on foreign countries. In this study we performed a basic study about the reliability of software that controls the railway signaling system.

  • This on-board signaling system has been designed with a priority on safety. The system has been devised for both safety, and also the efficiency of train operation. The Importance of signaling system is gradually being recognized with the continuous rise of operating speed and transporting density. Until now, the adaptation of signaling system was totally dependent on foreign signaling companies, as it was difficult to be accessed by domestic technology. But, successful commercial operation of the ATC/ATO system, which is adopted in the development of Kwangju Line No.1, heralds the use of domestic technology, which will be the basis of all future domestic signaling systems.

  • The computerization works and environment have been changed from simple transaction and data process request to system connection request, from data computerization to application work automation and process computerization through IT development and Internet spread. Recently, BPM(Business Process Management) concept has been widely propagated. It is expanding interest of business subject. Korea Railroad is operating train operation management system through 5 regional headquarters and organizations under the influence of each regional headquarter. But integrated operation and management of communication each department, work flow management and resources of depot equipment and materials have to need a lot of effort and time in huge organization as Korea Railroad. Therefore, this article realized Web Based BPM Group Ware. This article will define Korea Railroad organization and business process in using this Group Ware. And it will introduce Korea Railroad computer manage system of this Group Ware and efficient Korea Railroad Business Process through modeling and operating department work and resources management in Korea Railroad.

  • This paper deals with the signal communication system for MAGLEV which is indispensible to train control with safety and high speed operation. Therefore it is necessary for signal system to ensure high speed transmission. massive transmission, low error rate, and reliability of information. And the ensured information should be transmitted between ground and on-board for safety and high speed operation. For these reasons, we have considered the guaranteed reliability by applying FSK method and HDLC protocol. Because HDLC has the advantages of high efficiency, high reliability, low bit rate, and bit transparency. HDLC is the appropriate method for data transmission in MAGLEV.

  • There are two methodologies to increase transport capacity of railway. The one is to invest railroad equipment or vehicles, and the other to improve operation efficiency through operation optimization. All of these is intended to increase transport capacity by improving line capacity. So far, we treat line capacity as the criteria for evaluating investment alternatives or for restricting train frequencies, and this criteria is calculated statical and experimental numerical formula. But, line capacity has special attribute that change dynamically according to operational condition, so there is a need of new line capacity estimation system. The Purpose of this paper is to present a new line capacity estimation system based on the probability simulation and its applications.

  • To predict efficiency of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors(IPMSM) and to cope with the demagnetization risk of permanent magnets used in the IPMSM, accurate iron analysis of the IPMSM is very important at the motor design stage. In the analysis, we developed a new iron loss model of electrical machines for high-speed operation. The calculated iron loss was compared with the experimental data. It was clarified that the proposed method can estimate iron loss effectively at high-speed operation.

  • There have been many changes in Subway train types since SeoulMetro opened the Line No.1 in 1974. Propulsion control device has changed many times following the generations of control method from resistance control method which uses large resistor for the traction motor control to chopping control which uses power semiconductors and finally to inverter control. Railroad vehicle propulsion control device refers to devices such as converter/inverter which supply power for subway operation, power conversion equipment like small switching-mode power supply and traction motor. In this paper, we will analyze every part of railroad vehicle propulsion control device of SeoulMetro so we can find problems in the subway operation. And we will present propulsion control device model which makes minimized failures, efficient maintenance possible when replacing railroad vehicle later. By doing this, we hope to ensure stability and improve energy efficiency to the top.

  • 철도투자사업의 경제성 증대를 위해서는 새로운 편익의 발굴도 중요하지만 비용 부문에서 과다하게 책정되는 부분을 개선하는 것도 매우 중요하다. 본 논문은 철도부문의 편익을 제고하기 위해 철도차량의 정차 패턴까지 고려한 최적화 모형을 이용하여 분석할 것을 제안한다. 기존의 방법은 주요 역에 모두 정차한다는 시나리오를 토대로 운행시간을 작성하였으나 이는 실제 운행 여건과는 맞지 않는다. 열차별 정차 패턴을 고려하여 소요 차량수를 산정할 경우 계획 단계에서 적용되는 차량구입비를 합리적으로 산정할 수 있고 경제성 분석에도 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • 철도는 친환경 요소를 두루 갖춘 최첨단 교통수단으로 주목받고 있을 뿐만 아니라 더 나아가 다른 교통수단과의 경쟁에서 우위를 차지하기 위해 여객수송의 품질 향상과 운행에너지 절감을 위한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 하지만, 도시철도에서는 불특정 다수의 승객에게 서비스하는 업종 특성상 운송효율과 에너지절감을 위한 연구가 대부분이고 여객수송의 품질 향상에 대한 연구는 미비하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 여객 수송의 품질향상 측면으로 접근하여 도시철도 노선에서 일반열차와 급행열차의 자 수동 운전방식의 3차원 진동 횡가속도를 다양한 환경에서 측정하고, 이 측정된 3차원 진동 횡가속도와 국제철도협회에서 제시한 UIC513R의 통계적인 기법을 기반으로 승차감을 도출하고 비교 분석하였다.
