저밀도 노선 적용을 위한 ATS 제어절차에 관한 연구 (A Study on ATS Control Procedure to adopt Low Density Line)

  • A study which is to develop the low-cost urban railway system for low-density line such as Gwang-ju subway Line 2 is in progress, and its TCS(Train Control System) is required as an economic system which is able to train operation suitable in low-density line. We have developed the signaling equipment which is configured with automatic block system between stations, and the control center's equipment in order to meet the requirements of TCS mentioned above. In this paper, we propose the control procedure of ATS to be required for train operation management in the low-density line such as Gwang-ju subway Line 2. The control procedure of ATS considered all features such as the requirements analysis for train operation management, the functions of train control system to be applied and the block type. Also, it considered the station(interlocking, passenger, turn-back) type, station control(stop, route, departure, turn-back departure, turn-back) type, and train operation management for exiting and entering depot. The ATS control procedure proposed in this paper has an advantage in the cost and efficiency through unification and optimization of its function. And in cost of operating and maintenance, the ATS system has a feature that can be significantly reduced.

  • CBTC(Communication Based Train Control) System has many superior train control performances than conventional track-circuit-based train control system with higher train operation efficiency, and less installation and maintenance cost. It is expected that CBTC will replace the conventional train control systems in near future. As CBTC has different mechanisms from conventional track-circuit-based train control systems in identifying train positions, and communicating information between train and ground facility, we have to pay a carful attention to making the interface between CBTC equipments and other signalling devices. This paper provides the construction of the interface between CBTC train-born equipment and other train control equipments including ATO, TCMS, brake controller, door controller.

  • 전기철도에 있어서 열차의 운행속도향상은 지속적으로 추구해야할 당면한 과제이며, 이를 위해서는 철도시스템 전반에 걸친 검토가 이루어져야 한다. 열차의 고속화는 차량기술 뿐만 아니라, 선로 구축물, 신호시스템, 운영기술, 전차선로, 급전시스템 등이 상호 연계되어 종합적으로 경제성을 고려하여 추진되어야 한다. 특히, 전기철도 급전계통의 경우만 보더라도 고속열차가 기존운영선로에 투입될 경우 차량의 집전성능향상, 전압강하대책, 설비용량대책, 궤도노반, 분기기, 신호의 고속화, 전차선로 구조물 검토 등 여러 가지 기술검토가 반드시 수반되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이 가운데 AT급전계통에서의 신규의 고속화 열차 투입에 따른 급전계통의 기술검토에 대한 접근방안을 제시하고 실 계통을 대상으로 부하용량 변화의 정도를 예측함으로써, 향후 국내 노선의 전반에 걸쳐 적용 가능함을 입증할 수 있었다.

  • To cope with recent high gas prices and global warming phenomenon, the latest gasoline engine technologies are focusing on direction injection, downsizing by turbo charging, variable compression ratio, controlled auto Ignition to enhance fuel efficiency and satisfy emission regulations. The variable valve train technology will be a basement for these innovative technologies in internal combustion engines and is supposed to play a key role to improve low thermal efficiency and pumping loss in gasoline engine caused by low compression ratio and throttled operation respectively.

도시철도 운행역에서의 정차시분 추정에 관한 실증연구 (Experimental Study on the Estimation of Station Dwell Time for Metro Railways)

  • In crushed service areas of Metro railway lines, there are problems such as the buildup discontent, the irregular operation time and rotation of rolling stocks, caused by frequently occurred train delay. Train delay is affected by operation conditions or infrastructure capacities such as train schedule, line capacity, car rotation plan, shunting movements at origin and destination, and also by transport demand characteristics. Furthermore, a delay produce another delays and spread over the following trains. So it is not easy to build up a protection and recovery plan. In this research, we conduct experimental analysis study based on the real metro data, and as a result, present the relation between the traffic demand and the dwell time. And finally, propose future research themes for improving the operation efficiency of metro railways.

차량편성구성에 따른 고속화물열차의 추진 및 제동성능 분석 연구 (A Study on the Propulsion and Braking Performance of the High Speed Freight Train with Composing the Rolling Stocks Formation)

  • Currently, logistics are in small quantities and in diverse forms, and the amounts are continuously increasing. Railway logistics however are losing their market share every year mainly due to low operation speed and loading time, which means the trucks are covering the most of the freights. In order to solve these situations, this paper proposed the high speed freight train as working multi-modality with other modes to make effective transshipment. The high speed freight train has maximum operation speed of 300km/h and electric power to run centralized power supply. There are large dual door system, bogie system covering fluctuating load of 15[ton], automatic loading device, ULD(unit load device) bed and ULD locking system in this freight rolling stock. We calculated the performance of powering and braking capacity for this train and proposed how many vehicles are composed of train set. The results in this paper can help to make a decision to define the technical specification of High-speed freight train for the efficiency of rail freight service.

이종 철도신호시스템을 위한 기존 자동열차정지 연동로직의 보완 (Complement of the Interlocking Logic of ATS for Heterogenous Railway Signaling Systems)

  • 철도 신호시스템은 철도의 건설 운영 경험을 토대로 안전성 및 유지보수성을 극대화할 수 있도록 발전해 왔다. 전기적으로 궤도를 일정구간별로 구분하여 제어하는 폐색기반의 차량간격 제어를 통해 시스템의 안정적인 운영을 도모함과 동시에 효율적인 운영을 위한 시스템의 모니터링 강화가 지속적으로 이루어 졌다. 운영환경의 변화에 맞게, 기존의 ATS(Automatic Train Stop) 시스템과 새로운 ATP/ATO(Automatic Train Protection/Automatic Train Operation) 시스템이 병행으로 운영 중에 있다. 신호시스템을 병행 운영함에 있어서, 기존 ATS시스템은 잦은 신호설비의 개량으로 인해 연동도표 및 로직의 조건에 대한 보완이 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 이종 신호시스템 중 기존 ATS시스템의 연동조건 및 보안개선을 통해 시스템 안전성 및 운영 효율성을 도모하였다. 신호기 ON/OFF으로 반대선 신호에 영향을 주지 않도록 신호현시의 점유조건이 추가되었으며, 위치 및 쇄정에 대한 추가적 변경으로 보안성을 향상시켰다. 또한 불필요한 조건을 삭제하고 세분화된 신호현시를 생성하여 열차의 접근성을 향상시켜 운영 효율성을 향상시켰으며, 한층 강화된 시스템으로 운영할 수 있도록 개선하였다. 이와 같은 활동을 통행 기존 ATS시스템의 잦은 신호설비의 개량으로 인한 연동도표 표기와 관련한 보완사항을 개선하였으며, 열차의 안전운행과 밀접한 보안도 향상측면에 있어서의 뚜렷한 효과를 얻었다.

철도차량의 주행에너지 절약을 위한 열차 주행 패턴 모델링 (Modeling of the driving pattern for energy saving of the railway vehicles)

  • 철도기술의 발전 이후 현재 도시철도에서는 국내 처음으로 열차의 안전한 운행 제어를 위한 자동/무인 운전이 가능한 자동 열차 운행 장치(ATO)를 도입해 안정적으로 정시 운행을 하고 있다. ATO 자동운전은 제어기준 값(목표속도)과 피드백 값(실제속도)간의 오차에 의한 전동차의 역행과 제동을 반복함으로 에너지 효율 낮다. 본 논문에서는 고정된 역간 거리를 정해진 운전 시분 내에 주행에너지를 최소화하며 주행하는 열차의 특성을 파악하고 모델링한다. 따라서 5호선 실 노선 구간별 운전시분 내에서 실측 데이터 분석을 위해 직선구간/구배구간/곡선구간 등 구간을 선정하고 그 구간에서 열차의 주행패턴에 따라 변화하는 주행에너지를 최소화하는 최적의 주행 패턴을 제시하였다.

DC 궤도회로의 효율적인 운용방법에 대한 연구 (A study on efficient operation of DC track circuit)

  • A track circuit is a critical piece of equipment that allows the existence of the trains on the track to be detected. Train detection is very important for the signal safety equipment. It allows for the confirmation of a train's location, the locking of switch points, the coordination of safe distance between trains, and the advance notice of a train's arrival. Track circuits can be powered by AC or DC. The DC track circuits are usually used on non-electrified tracks. On these tracks, many signal errors can be caused by lightning or problems with the power source. These problems can also cause damages to the rectifiers which must be repaired or replaced, promptly. This issue is especially problematic in the summer because of the higher frequency of thunderstorms. Issues with track circuits also cause problems for other equipment, such as railroad crossings and switch points. This further disrupts the safe operation of trains. This study aims to enhance maintenance efficiency and improve safety by utilizing parallel operation and multiplexing of a DC track circuit as well as installing an external surge protector. The experimental results on the operation of the proposed method is also presented.
