There are many opportunities for Agricultural Technology Centers and for local communities to benefit from the computer and internet and compete in the information age. However, many rural communities appeared to lack human and financial resources required to enable access to the computer and internet. A case of implementation process of establishing agricultural information system at Asan Agricultural Technology Center during the last 10 years were presented. Extension educators took leadership role in facilitating the educational needs of farmers in terms of related resources for the computer and internet extension. To better prepare communities for the information age, community access was critical for promoting the technology and improving proficiency of local community members in its use, extension educators need to take leadership role in assessing community ability to provide internet access points for people without computers. Extension educators at city/county Agricultural Technology Centers may initiate to attract people with internet needs. computer resources, technological experience, and know-how for setting up internet access points in community locations.

The way society works in the 21st century differs from that of 20th century, since the people are brought-up to speed regarding current technologies. The www.aflos.pe.kr site and direct e-mailing system were very useful in delivering floricultural information to extension educators, producers, and variety of individuals. The author’s one year experience indicated that extension educators and farmers are receptive to internet technologies, and extension educators have increased the knowledge base of their clientele by responding through direct e-mails. The internet and direct e-mailing systems were popular and powerful way of transferring floricultural information, especially agricultural extension manpower were limited because of localization of extension educators by changing national status to local governments and decreased number of extension educators through government restructuring. The direct e-mailing to approximately 503 individuals resulted about $1{\sim}3%$ responses and the number of phone calls, however virus protection software for e-mail, internet, file servers and desktops to provide the integrated real-time detection of viruses were needed. For more effective operation of direct e-mailing in the future, more specified target groups and specialized organization such as perennials, bulbs, flowering potted plants. and cut flowers. At the same time, things that have worked for last century should not be replaced with new technology, specifically, the value in one-on-one meetings should not be replaced, but rather serve as a supplement.
Purpose: This study aimed to describe a school health teacher's experience working in a mountain village during the COVID-19 outbreak in 2021. Methods: The study used a case study method based on the school records and reports to the local office of education. Results: In T City, since the first COVID-19 case confirmed on March 8, 2020, as of May 17, 21, a total of 21 cases have occurred, including two third-year students of H Middle School. Since then, one additional case was confirmed on May 18, one more on May 25, and one more on May 27, resulting in a total of five confirmed cases. During this period, 42 students and 13 teachers were self-quarantined, all students and staff were tested for COVID-19 PCR, and students received remote classes. The role of school health teacher can be described through three categories: "collaborator", "care coordinator", and "educator". The school health teacher did a lot of work until the situation came to an end, successfully fulfilling these three roles. Conclusion: Some suggestions were made to prepare a more effective communicable disease response system suitable for public health infrastructure of non-urban area.

The roles of fashion merchandisers (merchandise managers) in women's apparel industry and their perceptions of the job requirements as a fashion merchandiser were investigated to understand present fashion merchandising activities in the industry and suggest desirable roles of fashion merchandiser for further development of the industry. The research questionnaires were administered to fashion merchandisers working in the ten national brand women's apparel firms. The results of the study were as follows . 1. Annual sales volumes of most surveyed firms were more than five billions won and eight out of ten surveyed firms have fashion merchandisers in their firms. 2. Fashion merchandisers worked at a specific brand merchandising division sales and operations division or merchandise planning division. A fashion merchandiser generally supervised one brand. 3. Fashion merchandiser's work experience ranged from four to fifteen years showing a great deal of experience in the apparel industry. Their majors at university were mostly business and few majored in clothing and textiles, or textiles. 4. In general, the role of fashion merchandiser was a management specialist who was responsible for identifying target markets analyzing fashion trends, planning of the merchandise development budget planning, manufacturing planning, selling, advertising and sales promotion and distributing the merchandise. At some firms fashion merchandi-sers were not responsible for advertising, display, and receiving the orders. 5. Surveyed fashion merchandisers perceived the desirable fashion merchandiser's role as a management specialist conducting overall business activities in the areas of merchandise planning, manufacturing, selling and distribution. They also mentioned the following personal characteristics such as vision leadership, and persuasion as desirable characteri-stics for those who aspire to a career in fashion merchandising. 6. Surveyed fashion merchandisers emphasized relevant and realistic experiences in fashion merchandising education. Several ways were suggested to help the educator keep in touch with business and bring reality to students. They are . field work, bringing professionals into the classroom to speak to the students, emphasizing clothing and textiles education including merchandising area, and establishing a Department of Fashion Merchandising.
Objectives : In order to manage to reformative tendency of the educational whole with change request of dental hygienics education which is diversificated and professionalized the manufacturing practice of a temporary resin jacket which is educated with from much dental hygiene is become accomplished, so far also the recognition which relates with the manufacturing practice of a temporary resin jacket of dental hygiene students there is not researched. The present research carried out the practice evaluation with the target of students of a dental hygiene department, who finished a manufacturing practice of a temporary resin jacket, analyzed and investigated the material, reported its result, and enforced a research. Methods : This research selected students of 6 dental hygiene departments located in the Daegu Gyeongbuk region, who have manufacturing experience of a temporary resin jacket, by a convenient sampling method, and then a questionnaire was executed by a self-administration method, and a total of 290 copies were statistically treated. The content of the questionnaire are composed of 2 questions on an attitude survey before and after manufacturing practice of a temporary resin jacket, 3 questions on an educator for practice of a temporary resin jacket, 7 questions on recognition of technical skills for manufacturing a temporary resin jacket, 9 questions on the practice content evaluation of manufacturing of a temporary resin jacket and recognition on manufacturing practice of a the temporary resin jacket. Results : 1. The average of recognition on technical skills for manufacturing a temporary resin jacket of a dental hygienist was 3.82 points, the average of evaluation on practice content of manufacturing a temporary resin jacket being 3.75 points, and the average of recognition on the practice of manufacturing a temporary resin jacket was 3.71 points. 2. Currently, as the educator for the practice of manufacturing a temporary resin jacket, dental hygienists were 188 persons(64.8%) and dental technicians was 102 persons(35.2%), and as educators they want in the future, dental hygienists were 97 persons(33.3%) and dental technicians was 193 persons(66.7%). Persons hoping reeducation for manufacturing a temporary resin jacket were 219 persons(85.9%). 3. There was a significant difference in consciousness of students before and after practice of manufacturing a temporary resin jacket(p<.001). 4. There was a significant difference in practice evaluation and practice recognition according to the educational subject(p<.001). 5. There was a significant reverse correlation in the educational subject, practice evaluation and practice recognition(p<0.01). Conclusions : The practice for manufacturing a temporary resin jacket in education of dental hygiene is necessary to improve job performance ability in more various and specialized dental treatment and to solve desire for improvement of professional technical skill ability of students, and accordingly. About study process of the future students observation investigation or student objective interview investigation etc. seeks a problem in the become research lead, the succeeding research which gropes the plan which is the possibility of solving the problem which discovered is thought will be necessary.

Sens of insecutity of the public and professionals about harmful effects of radiation is increasing in an accident at the Chernobyl and Fkushima nuclear power plant.Anxiety was amplified to lack of information about radiation majority of people. To target the middle and high school in the region of Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do, to investigate the radiation recognition of the next generation, it is intended to present a model of education for the safe use of radiation. The High School of the six metropolitan cities, city, town through the questionnaire and needs to be educational experience of radiation and use knowledge level of radiation, experience in daily life, understanding of man-made radiation and natural radiation, information channel on radiation, the radiation Distribute the total 800 parts of, to recover the 629 unit, was analyzed for 155 females 474 males. In Korea, there are many kinds of functional foods to manage diabetes, however, they have not been evaluated or investigated systematically. The purpose of this study was to investigate the status of recognition and intake of functional foods among diabetic patients. The study subjects were 307 patients(male 135, female 172), who diagnosed with type 2 diabetes at Seoul National University of Bundang Hospital. Questionnaire survey was done from July to October, 2004 for the characteristics of patients and factors related to the use of functional foods. The mean age of the subjects was 64$\pm$10.2 years, and the mean duration of disease was 9.5$\pm$8.90 years. Approximately 49.8% of the subjects had experience to use functional foods at least once in past. Total number of functional foods used were 56 types. Red ginseng was used most frequently(27.9%), then followed by Silkworm powder(13.6%), Vitamin supplements(10.4%), Mulberry tree(7.1%), Cordyceps sinensis(6.8%) and Ginseng(4.2%). Functional foods were introduced by their friends.relatives(38.4%), family(29.1%), internet(13.9%), and the mass media(10.6%). Among respondents, 94.7% took functional foods with conventional diet therapies(diet, exercise and medication). The purpose of functional food use was to control blood glucose level(49.0%), to relieve fatigue and improve stamina(19.9%), to treat and prevent a disease(17.2%) and to help blood circulation(7.9%). Upon the question of further recommendation of functional foods to others, 74.8% of the subjects answered negative response. However, 12.6% of the subjects showed the further intention of using new product. Therefore, to guide the appropriate use of functional foods for diabetic patients, diabetic educator should provide the knowledge of the efficacy of functional foods and the desirable guidelines.
The purpose of this study was to identify the Kolb's learning style and preference for instructional methods of undergraduate nursing students. Data were collected from 174 students at a university in D city using a structured questionnaire from October 19 to October 21 2015. Learning style ratio of nursing students was accommodator 34.5%, converger 33.9%, assimilator 16.1%, diverger 15.5% and preference scores for instructional methods were discussion 7.27, direct instruction 7.26, peer teaching 7.22, independent study 6.54, project 6.25, instruction through technology 5.77, game 5.45, simulation 4.23. A significant difference was found in experience of flipped learning between four learning styles groups of nursing students. However, there was no significant difference in the preference of instructional methods between the four learning styles groups. Most of the students were in the middle range of the learning styles. The assessment of nursing students' learning styles is expected to help educator to plan teaching strategies.
In this study, we carried out mathematics teacher-training course. The topic of this training course is the understanding of content area reading in school mathematics. The teacher-training course is planned to guide mathematics teachers can perform effectively the teaching of content area reading. In particular, we illustrated the pre-service mathematics teacher education practice. Mathematics teachers investigated various teaching strategies that can lead their students read reading materials related to mathematics effectively. In this training courses, teachers reflects on their own experience and they have an opportunity to learn the new strategies that improve their teaching methods. Teacher educator and in-service teachers share and discuss their practices, they have a meaningful learning experiences. In this study, we presented the processes of the teacher-training course and the results of practice. Furthermore, on the basis of the limitations of this study, we suggested recommendations for the future teacher training program.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the elementary school teacher's status and recognition of nutrition education (NE) in Incheon. A cross-sectional study was carried out using a self-administered questionnaire and subjects were 147 elementary school teachers. The results are as follows. Only 9.5% of the teachers had training in NE and 71.4% of the teachers with training increased concern about NE after training. As for experience of NE, 61.6% of the teachers experienced NE and more than half of them gave NE less than twice per month. There was a significant difference in reason for not giving NE between subgroups by teaching career; 57.7% of the teachers with career more than 10 years did not give NE due to too much other work. As for existence of nutrition educator in school, 48.9% of the teachers recognized its existence and 91.3% of them answered that dietitians have done NE. For correction of unbalanced diet, good table manner, and nutrition and growth, 97.9% of the teachers answered that NE is necessary in elementary school. As for proper time to start NE, 57.5% of the teachers answered kindergarten and 39,7% answered lower grade of elementary school. As for effective type for NE, 47.3% of the teachers answered NE as a part of other subject and 28.1 % answered NE as a separate subject. Also 69.8% of the teachers answered dietitian as suitable person for NE. As for newly establishing a NE subject, 37.9% of the teachers disagreed and as for most effective method for NE, 73.3% answered NE linked with school lunch program. Most of teachers recognized elementary school students' eating habit problem severe and change of their eating habit such as various food choice, no plate waste and good table manner after school lunch program. Therefore, it should be nationally supported that a standardized NE program is developed and coordinated among teachers, school lunch dietitian as NE specialist, family and community for elementary students' health and well-being.
